Meanwhile, on Naboo, the First Order ships had been spotted.

A guard barged into the palace, where Queen Natalia and the Resistance were preparing for war.

"First Order ships have been spotted, your majesty," said the guard.

"They must have tracked us here," said Leia. "They have been looking for us every since we escaped."

"We can't let them find you," said Queen Natalia.

"But if they tracked our ship here, won't they know we're here?" Kaydel asked.

"They tracked Maz's ship here, and she's gone," said Leia. "They'll think we went with her."

Kaydel nodded. "You're right," she agreed. "As long as we stay out of sight, they won't know we're here."

"Don't worry," said Queen Natalia. "We'll keep you out of sight."

"Thank you," said Leia.

Phasma had prepared the fifty stormtroopers for the landing party. She went to the command center where Hux and Kylo Ren waited. "The landing party is ready," she told them.

"Good," said Kylo. "And do you have the reinforcements standing by?"

"Yes," she answered.

"Then everything is in place," Kylo said, putting his helmet back on. "Let's go."

Kylo and Hux followed Phasma to the assembled group of stormtroopers. Before they left for Naboo, General Hux quickly briefed the stormtroopers about the mission.

"We are all going down to Naboo to crush the Resistance once and for all!" said Hux.

The stormtroopers cheered.

"Today shall be remembered for their destruction," Hux continued.

And there was another cheer from the group of assembled stormtroopers.

"Now remember, the whole Resistance is your enemy. But that girl, that scavenger, is your greatest enemy."

Kylo looked at Hux. His helmet masked the surprised and worried expression on his face.

"She killed our Supreme Leader, and she must be captured dead or alive," he said.

Ben tried to stop himself, but he couldn't. I have to defend Rey, I can't just let them kill her. Especially since they are going to kill her for something she didn't do. I was the one who killed the Supreme Leader, not Rey. I killed him to save Rey, not to put her in harms way. I know what he have to do, he thought.

"ALIVE," Kylo interrupted, in a loud voice so that all of the assembled stormtroopers could hear.

Hux looked at him in surprise. All of the assembled stormtroopers began to bustle in surprise and confusion. They looked back and forth between Hux and Kylo, not sure who's orders to follow.

"I think I can turn her to the Dark Side. If I can, together we could make the First Order unstoppable," he told Hux in a quieter tone.

Supreme Leader is right, he does have compassion for her, he thought silently.

Then he heard a voice in his head. It was the voice of the Supreme Leader. "That is why I cannot take control of his mind, that girl has begun to take hold of his heart. She is pulling him to the Light. We need to act quickly before he leaves the First Order and the Dark Side for her. Then we won't be able to stop them. I fear she will soon turn him to the Light Side, if we do not act quickly. I know now what I must do, I cannot reach his heart but she can."

Hux knew the Supreme Leader was using the Force to speak to his mind, but it made him feel uneasy. Then he began to wonder how he would accomplish what the Supreme Leader was asking of him. What should I do? he wondered quietly.

He nearly jumped when the Supreme Leader's voice answered him in his mind. "I will use his compassion for her to turn him fully to the Dark Side. And then I will do the same to the girl. If the girl cares as much about him as he cares about her, and has as much compassion for him as he has for her turning her to the Dark Side won't be as hard as I feared."

Suddenly Ren interrupted the voice in his mind. "With her at my side, the First Order will rule the whole galaxy, and that would just be the beginning."

"Don't let your personal feelings get in the way of our mission, Ren," Hux warned.

"I won't," Kylo answered in a quiet, but firm voice. "Nor will I let you stand in my way, General."

"Fine, alive," Hux agreed only because of the Supreme Leader's wishes. He spoke loud enough for everyone assembled to hear.

"And unharmed," Kylo added loud enough for the troops to hear. He knew how aggressive the stormtroopers could be while taking prisoners, and he didn't want them hurting her.

"As long as she's alive, it's okay if you wound her, as long as it doesn't kill her," Hux said. "She deserves a little pain for what she's done!"

"NO!" Kylo yelled. His voice filled with emotion and tears threatening to come from his eyes, at the thought of Rey being hurt or killed. "Anything you do to hurt her will be done to you... twice."

One of the stormtroopers whispered to his comrade. "At least he can't kill us twice, right?"

His comrade nodded.

Hux just stared at Ren. For once he could think of nothing to say. But he was surprised by Kylo's sudden concern for the girl.

"And that includes you ... General," he added.

This will definitely be harder than I expected, Hux thought. He already has too much compassion for her.

"And that will be his downfall. He is willing to do anything to save her, including kill Ben Solo, once and for all. Once he does, I will have control of his mind," the Supreme Leader answered.

"In fact, just leave the girl to me. I will deal with her," he tried to sound as cruel as he could, so that they would believe that he wanted to be the one to fight or even kill her himself. To avenge the Supreme Leader. It worked on most of the stormtroopers, they let out a loud cheer. They had seen Ren's temper. They had seen him destroy entire rooms with his lightsaber, the Supreme Leader would indeed be avenged. But Hux was not deceived. He could see Ren's compassion for the girl. He was beginning to suspect that it was Ren who killed Snoke, instead of the girl. But he could not prove it ... yet.

Kylo, Hux, Phasma, and the stormtroopers got into a small shuttle and flew down to Naboo. The three of them stood beside each other in silence as they flew towards Naboo.

When they landed a group of guards greeted them. John was among them. "How may I help you?" he asked.

"We are looking for a group of rebels who landed on your planet recently," said Hux.

"Rebels?" he asked.

"Yes," Kylo answered. "We know they landed here. We tracked their ship here."

"A ship did land here a few days ago," said John. "The ship was flown by a strange looking woman with big eyes."

Hux looked puzzled. "Are you trying to mess with us?" he asked, angrily.

"No," Kylo interrupted. "That's Maz Kanata, the pirate queen of Takodana." He had met her a few times when he was young, with his parents. He was sure the guard was describing her.

"That's her! We didn't know she was a rebel," said John.

"Tell us where she is, and there won't be any trouble," said Kylo.

"I'm afraid I don't know," said John.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Kylo asked, his temper growing thin.

"She left not long ago, and she didn't tell anyone where she was going," he explained. "If we had known that she was a rebel, we wouldn't have let her leave, or at least we would have questioned her before she left."

Kylo turned to leave, Hux and Phasma followed him.

"Great, now we've lost the Resistance again," said Hux.

"Get a track on that ship immediately," Kylo ordered, then they stepped into the shuttle.
