Kylo popped his eyes open. He sat up and stared at the light in front of him. The blue light was fuzzy at first, but eventually solidified.

"Ben Solo, turn back."

Kylo Ren shook slightly, came to his senses, and asked, "Who are you and what do you want?"

The figure in front of Kylo ignored the question. "Young Solo, you are going down a path you will regret following. Don't do what I did. Do not wait to change until moments before you die. It's not too late to turn back."

Kylo partially ignored what the figure was saying. "Are you one of those Force ghost things?"

The figure nodded. "That I am, grandson."

Kylo was shocked. "Grandson?  You...you must be Anakin. Darth Vader."

The figure nodded again. Kylo looked more closely at him. He had wavy hair, was young, and wore simple clothing. His standing body emitted a soft, blue light.

"How are you so young?" Kylo asked.

"The Force works in mysterious ways. I am able to be seen in my younger form."

Kylo stayed quiet. Anakin broke the silence. "Young Solo, why are you doing this to yourself?"

"I didn't do it to myself! Luke did this to me. Luke Skywalker. He turned me to the dark side."

Anakin sighed, his blue light flickering. "Luke made a mistake that night. You were already struggling with the dark side of the force. I understand that Luke had a part in this. But Skywalker is dead now. He is one with the Force. You have no more excuses."

Kylo started to speak but Anakin kept talking. "Ben, I once distrusted my master also, Obi-Wan. Masters have their faults, you know."

Kylo stared at his grandfather, almost in a trance. "But I can't turn back to the light side now, I just can't! I have legions of troopers under my command, and a Resistance to smother! I am the Supreme Leader!"

"Grandson, there is something I must tell you," Anakin said gently. "Snoke is still alive."

Kylo was speechless. Shocked. He tried to look for words. "But....that's....that's.....impossible."

He ran his hand through his hair and started to grow angry, recovering from his initial shock.

"It is not impossible for one as strong as him in the Force. Ben, he was a Force projection inside that ship. That is how powerful he is. He can Force project himself and pretend to be as real as life. And pretend to die," said Anakin.

"But, who is he?" Kylo asked. "What is he?"

"That is not for you to know now," Anakin responded. "Turn to the light side and defeat him, bring balance to the Force. If he is not defeated, he will take over the First Order once again and be a major threat to the peace of the galaxy. He may even try to kill you."

Kylo looked down at his hands, playing with his fingers. "How can I defeat him on my own, if he is that powerful?"

"The girl," Anakin responded. Kylo looked up quickly. "Rey. Join her. Together, you can defeat him and bring new order to the galaxy."

"No, she must join me! The dark side is stronger!" Kylo contradicted.

"If you do not defeat Snoke, he will become more powerful than you could ever imagine. And he will kill you for trying to kill him." 

Kylo thought about this. "Where is he? If he was Force projecting himself onto the ship, where is he?"

"Ah, I can answer this question. Rengurar. A planet often overlooked. It's made of sheets of barren rock. A lonely place to live." 

Kylo took a deep breath. "Do you know now what you must do?" Anakin asked.

Kylo stayed silent. "I take that as a yes," said Anakin. "Goodbye, grandson. Young Solo, may the Force be with you."

The blue figure slowly faded, leaving Kylo Ren deep in thought.
