Din didn't know why he was awake.

He had woken up and, on an impulse, went to the window.

And now he could hear something happening.

Someone ran past the house. A car came by seconds after-too close. The car, for some reason, was trying to hit whoever had just run past.

Din opened the window and stuck his head out. 

The person who'd run by was Cara.

Din didn't even bother with the front door. He grabbed his shoes and jumped out of the window, racing after the car.

By the time he caught up with Cara, she was obviously exhausted. The car was only a few feet behind them.

Din grabbed Cara's hand. She glanced up at him, and for a fleeting moment, a burst of emotions raced across her face-joy, fear, and excitement, to name a few.

They ran by Fennec's house. She joined them.

After a while, they had gathered into a small pack-Cara, Din, Fennec, Boba, Ahsoka, and Rex. But they had already been running for too long. 

"My house!" shouted Rex. They tried to turn-and were immediately blocked by the car. 

"Come on!" This time it was Cara who shouted. She led them up to her house, then she unlocked the door and shoved everyone in, while throwing everything she could find at the car. She had made a pretty big dent on it's door.

"HOLD ON!" Rex shouted, panicking. 

Ahsoka had her foot stuck between two large boulders on the sidewalk.

"Get inside!" called Cara, running towards Ahsoka. She pulled Ahsoka's foot free, and pushed her ahead towards the house. Something hit her leg, but she ignored it.

When she was in, she closed the door behind her, locking it tightly. She raced over to the window and looked out. The car was driving away. 

She felt a hand on her arm. It was Din.

"The car hit your leg." he said nervously. 

Cara looked down. Her leg did hurt pretty badly, now that he mentioned it. And there was a lot of blood. But she shrugged and said, "So it did."

Everyone laughed. 

"Any idea what just happened?" asked Fennec, turning to conversation serious again. Cara sighed. "I wanted to go for a walk. I'd gotten halfway around the neighborhood when the car started chasing me."

"Why?" asked Din. "Dunno." Cara said. "Anyways, I think I have ice cream. I'm hungry."
