✮17~ Are we in this together?✮ ✅

A wish made on a shooting star will only get half the job done.
It will provide you with the chances to make your wish come true,
but it's up to you to take the chances and make the wish come true.

Tica and Tiara landed gracefully and in perfect sync. They looked at each other and let out a cooing noise, my Altaria's oval dove like eyes shone with admiration for the larger avian Pokémon as she fluffed up her cloudy wings and smiled. Tiara clearly admired the Articuno and with the obvious grace and power the larger Pokémon possessed, it was clearly well earned.

I hopped off my fluffy flying Pokémon, patting her head as Wish landed atop my own. ~Viiiv-iooon.~ She smiled.

While flying on Tiara, Wish flew by our side and she loved the whole thing. Flying in patterns and shaping the clouds using the tips of her delicate wings. Whenever she got tired she rested on my head until she found something of interest and took off again. I spent the ride talking to Alyssa and Amy, I'd learnt quite a bit from them despite their hesitation to give out specific details. I'd learnt that Alice was the only one out of the Pixie or Dragon born who wasn't a specific type of trainer like the others, Amy was only a grass type trainer and Thomas a dark type while Alice had Shiver, Wish and Tiara who didn't have typing that matched her Pixie. Tiara was even a Dragon type which was the opposite of her being a Pixie born. She simply loved all Pokémon.

I smiled as Wish. "Do you want to go back in your Pokéball?" I questioned, noticing how tired she seemed.

The Bug/Flying Type Pokémon nodded with a yawn.

Smiling to myself, I pulled out her red and white Pokéball, letting the red beam absorb her into the safety of her spherical home before turning to Tiara. "What about you?" As my Altaria nodded, I too returned her.

My eyes drifted up to the baby blue sky above my head, wouldn't be long until the deep indigo of night took over. My thoughts remained on the night as I took out Shiver's Pokéball from my purse and let her out. I'd figured she was afraid of heights, unlike my other two Pokémon. But on the ground, she was never far from my side, watching whoever approached carefully and often with warning looks. What really confused me was that if Shiver was Alice's, why was she being protective of me? I was starting to doubt that I was Alice because for some reason, it just didn't make sense to me. But if I was her than Shiver being protective would make sense.

Shiver jumped up on my shoulder, alert as usual. Her diamond shaped ears perked as I raised my hand to rub behind them, the silky, cool fur sending slight chills up my arm. She smiled and leaded forward slight while making a purring sort of noise showing with she liked the attention. I smiled slightly, knowing I'd done right by my Glaceon.

I followed Alyssa and Amy inside what came to mind as a cabin, apparently the boys had moved to another part of the region while we were at the Pixie Temple which makes sense, I'd been told that the group had to move around a lot to avoid attention and stay secluded.

Alyssa pushed the door opened and a stream of arguing rolled out. Words were being spoke in so loud and fast I could barely make out anything. My nerves seemed to spike with a feeling of dread and anxiety. Shiver hissed slightly, looking up at me with concerned eyes as I pulled her from my shoulder and hugged her close.

With a sigh, the Ice-Type trainer turned to her friend. "Amy would you please?"

Amy smirked. "With pleasure." She skipped inside while Alyssa and I trailed behind. The green haired trainer rummaged through her bag, pulling out some sort of cylinder can with a bright red cone in the end.

"You may want to cover your ears for this." Alyssa warned covering her own.

Shiver folded her ears down and placed her paws over them while I gave Alyssa a confused look. "Why would I need..."

I was cut off by Amy pushing a button on a strange can with a large red cone on top, the horn let out the most deafening sound I'd ever heard, which although I haven't heard many things that are very loud, this felt like something that was almost unnatural. I squealed in fight, dropping Shiver to cover my ears in response but could still hear the blaring of the caned noise.

When Amy stopped, I withdrew my shaking hands, my blue eyes wide and scared as I followed Alyssa inside. The blue haired trainer was seemingly unfazed by the blaring of the fog horn while the sound had left me slightly dazed and trembling.

"Works every time." Amy smiled reassuringly when she noticed my fright. "They fight like this all the time and sometimes need a little help to get them to stop

Thomas glared at her. "Little warning next time." His crimson eyes flared with anger that seemed to change the entire look of the Dark Type trainer, it was honestly a little frightening.

Amy just smiled sweetly, hiding the device behind her back. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Thomas sighed and glared at Tyson and Nick. "Whatever. I'm going to be outside." He brushed past me, mumbling an apology before stomping out the front door slamming it behind him. I flinched on instinct at the sound, though after the horn, I was curious as to why.

"What was that about?" Alyssa asked, glancing the way Thomas had gone. Amy agreed with the question, tucking her horn away in her bag. I secretly hoped never to see it again.

"Her." Nick said pointing at me. The red-haired trainer hardly bothered to give me a glance along with his rude gesture, his flaming red eyes seemed to burn holes into whatever he was looking at, including me.

I flinched slightly as everyone's gaze turning to me, a mixture of emotions swirling in each persons eyes, many of which I couldn't name. I shifted from foot to foot nervously as Shiver let out a warning growl and raised slightly, as if ready to pounce.

"Don't point Nick, and everyone else stop staring. It's rude." Amy said, coming to my rescue. She stood tall by my side as she placed a hand over shoulder, mossy orbs filled with a protective sort of anger

I pulled Shiver off my shoulder and hugged her close, looking at the diamonds on her back like they'd suddenly become the most interesting thing in the world. I felt so horribly embarrassed with everyone staring at me and my stomach was churning with a nauseating feeling.

"Shimmer, why don't you wait upstairs.... the girls room is the second door down the hall to the left, bathroom is at the end of the hall if you need it." Alyssa said, glancing at the boys with an annoyed look in her own violet optics.

I nodded timidly and scurried from the room as fast as I could before anyone could see my tears. Once the door was safely shut behind me, I took a moment to breath before I observed the décor of the halls in effort to distract my mind from the people in the room behind me. The hall was painted a pastel yellow colour with dark brown floor boards that seemed to be stained with some sort of oils. It was completely bare of any real décor and the door frames and doors were all painted white. I followed Alyssa's directions and found the room easily. The room was practically empty apart from two wooden white bunk beds against opposite walls with a dresser in between and a window with sheer white curtains drawn above. All the furniture had been painted white to match the rest of the house.

I sat down on the end of one of the beds and released Shiver from my arms. She sat down next to me and cocked her head to the side. I rested my hands on my laps and looked down at them. I could faintly see old scars that ran up and down my arms, they all seemed to be in perfectly straight lines as if I'd been cut with something multiple times. Most the bruises had faded by now with the exemption of the large one on my forehead but that was healing well.

~Glaceon?~ Shiver inquired breaking my string of thoughts.

I shook my head as my eyes started to tear up. "What am I going to do Shiver? I'm just causing so many problems for everybody here. Maybe I should just go..."

The faint sounds of arguing drifted up from down stairs, causing a tear to fall from a well of tears gathering in my eyes. I couldn't make out much of what was said but I heard my name mentioned several times as well as insults and much profanity from Nick.

Shiver shook her head, using her tail to draw my attention to her as she lightly stomped her foot with an irritated look over her features. ~Glace!~

Looking down into the small Pokémon's determined eyes, I could see her irritation and much protectiveness. "You can stay here if you want. I know you were Alice's and I don't even know if I am her. These people were your friends so if you want to stay I'd understand."

The Glaceon shook her head sharply once again and stood up taller. ~Glace-e-on!~ She hissed

Shaking my head, turned away briefly, staring out the window with a blank expression. "I can't understand you, and even if I could you're not telling me anything." I toked her, my voice wavering in attempt to keep myself from breaking down into tears.

Shiver flinched slightly and her face dropped. ~Glace glaceon.~ She replied quietly. The Ice-Type Pokémon jumped back onto my lap and stood up on her hind legs, holding herself up by leaning her front paws against my chest. She placed one blue booted paw over my heart and tapped it slightly. Then gestured to her own, her eyes sad but hopeful.

She looked deeply into my eyes before rubbing her head against my cheek. ~Lace.~ She said softly, licking my cheek and wiping away the tear that had fallen before pulling back. Somehow I knew what my Pokémon had meant by all this.

With a small smile, I rubbed the top of her head, feeling the familiar chill ran up my arm from my Pokémon's icy fur. "We're in this together aren't we?"

Shiver smiled and nodded, deep black eyes shining in the evening light, trapping the last of the sun's rays within the obsidian optics.

"So, if I left, you would come with me?" I questioned, my tone unsure and frightened.

Again, Shiver nodded but gave me a desperate look, as if trying to tell me to think it over. She seemed frightened but at the same time so sure that she knew what she was doing and I felt like I had no other choice but to follow her wishes.

I sighed, defeated. "Okay, you win. But only for now, okay?"

The Pokémon of snow nodded once more and rubbed her head against my arm, leaving a warm chill of frost behind. I stroked her behind the ears making her purr in pleasure once more. I was confident I could rely on Shiver and in a world where everything you know is shrouded in darkness, it is a truly warming feeling.
