Chapter 2
Hues of green and brown blended together to form the colour of Hazel's deep set eyes. Her breathtaking orbs were exactly why she got her name and that was extremely obvious. Those eyes were now observing the enormous complex of Winstar. Most of the building's exterior was made of glass. There were dwarf trees perfectly aligned by the entrance and green lawns covered the ground like a costly carpet.
She was wearing a blue and white floral printed dress that seamlessly flowed down her body. Her long hair with auburn highlights waved down until her shoulders as they were let loose. A cool breeze found it entertaining to play with her soft locks as it scattered thin strands of them on her face.
Tucking the short dismal hair behind her ears, she smiled with all her heart. Finally, she had got here. The guilt of lying to her father had already began building up at the pit of her stomach. He wouldn't have expected this from her. Before the feeling consumes her as a whole, she made her way inside the building.
All these while she didn't notice a man in a worn out black hoodie, watching her from one of the top floors of Winstar. He wondered if she was real or a figment of his imagination. Such beauty could only be dreamt about. He felt heat rising in him as she strolled away from his vision. His heart was racing and blood rushed to his ears. This was a new feeling. But one thing confused him. She looked familiar.

Hazel was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and led to the CEO's office. He wanted to meet her as she was the daughter of a brilliant ex employee. On her way she absorbed the interiors. Cream walls, paintings worth millions, models of rockets, exquisite showpiece; they all screamed rich and she felt so small and broke for a moment.
She entered the CEO's cabin to be greeted by a middle aged man who looked lika an intellectual. He smiled at her and gestured her to take a seat. She stole a glance at the nameplate kept on his table. It had black letters engraved boldly on a golden background.
'Ben Richard',it read. She had heard her mother mention him plenty of times. As far as she discerned,he was a man of goodwill, because of whose family's hardwork and passion Winstar now exists. She felt honoured just to catch a glimpse of him.
"Good lord! You resemble your mother a lot!I really thought it was Stella for a moment."He began abruptly.Hazel just smiled and nodded. She felt a pang at the mention of her mother.
"I'm extremely sorry for her.The company should have taken better care of her.I-"he was cut off by Hazel.
"Its okay Sir.I don't hold anything against you or Winstar."she assured.Sighing,he wished her all the best adviced her to start interning the next day itself. She went out after thanking him.She was then given a tour around the entire building by the kind receptionist. She got to meet some of her mother's old colleagues. She also saw the cabin her mother used to work in.She was caught off guard when she saw a framed photograph of her family on one corner of the table.Apparently, none of the staffs felt like moving it.She picked it up for herself. She saw her four year old self sitting on the hood of a car with both her parents on either sides. They looked so happy. How she wished to go back to those old days! But as she observed closer, she spotted a a scratch on the glass that plated the picture. It was as if her mother was being separated.A chill ran down her spine as she saw there was a scratch on her mother's neck too.Was it a mere coincidence?
Brushing the disturbing thoughts away, she trudged out of Winstar. She had to start afresh from tomorrow. She had rented an apartment near Winstar and since she was informed about another intern who was joining the company just like her,she had contacted him to share the apartment and he had readily agreed. Now it was almost afternoon and hence she decided to grab something to eat.Thankfully, the flat was only a walk away. She began to stroll through the empty streets and soon enough felt a sense of being followed. She whipped her head around only to be greeted by emptiness. But she doubted if she had seen a flash of someone sprinting to the nearby alley behind.Exhaling a puff of air,she walked ahead. But after sometime she began hearing footsteps trailing her path again. But before she could take a look, her phone buzzed inside her purse. She fished it out and saw a message from an unknown number.
Unknown:So you did it huh!
You're so stupid.
Hazel felt a mix of fear and confusion.Who could this be?Her phone buzzed again.
Unknown:But yeah,you won't last for long.You're just a girl anyway.
She smirked. She knew the person a bit too well.Who else would underesimate her for being a girl?
Hazel:Watch me
Unknown:Oh sure!I'll watch you run out crying,girl!
Hazel:Yeah,I'm a girl but still you're standing a step behind me,you can't even face me.Go hide in the alley, you coward.
She turned around to see Abel's figure watching her from a distance. He looked still the same with his hair dyed red and stunning features. His lips were curved downwards, indicating he was angry. His toned muscles were literally visible through his pale yellow shirt. He sure was a charmer but now he reminded her of a clown. After giving him a smug smile, she walked away with pride.

Abel was the last person Hazel wanted to see right now.Eventhough she acted strong a few minutes back, his face brought back a dozen memories. All of them were sweet. The gentle and caring side he showed during their initial days.In the past his presence was so pleasurable that she felt he wasn't real. She remember how she used to daydream a lot about their future. But now all those daydreams had become her nightmares. They reminded how dumb she used to be and how she was decieved. It would make her think that there was something crawling under her skin.It honestly felt horrible.
However her stomach did not allow her to ponder further as it growled with hunger. She had already reached the apartment. So she quickly changed her dress into something cozy and proceeded to the kitchen.Apart from cupcakes, the only thing she knew to cook was omelettes. She decided to make one and eat it with some bread she had bought in the morning.
'How many days do I have to eat this thing?'she whined internally as she cracked two egs and poured it into a bowl.
After a while, she heard the door to her apartment clicking open.
'Must be the other intern.'She thought as she swiftly tossed the omelette. But guess she used too much force. The fried egg flew out of the pan and stuck to the ceiling. She was perplexed as she saw nothing on the pan.But was distracted from the situation straight away as a man appeared at the door.If she had to describe him in one word, she'd say handsome.
"Hello! My name is Jin.I'm Worldwide Handsome. You can call me WWH!"he gleefully introduced himself .
The next moment, the omelette fell right on her head.
