Louis' POV

My favourite part of the day is the morning.

It means finally getting out of this hell and escaping my mum’s silence, my dad’s big fists.

I don’t really like the morning, obviously. Which teenager likes getting up?

The only thing I like about it is escaping my house.

I like throwing on my cosiest jumper and some skinny jeans before stuffing everything I need in my backpack and waiting for Zayn, who just got his license recently, to pick me up.

Most times dad still sleeps so I can tiptoe out of the door without waking him up.

It’s summer break now. I can’t really escape anymore.

The only good thing about it, are the two weeks we’ll be spending camping close to that lake and forest, like every year.

You can even watch the stars from there. Here in the city, there’s too much pollution, but on the countryside, you can see the stars very well.

He once told me that there are over 9000 stars visible for the naked eye in the sky.

He’s weird. I don’t know if all of the stuff he told me was true, but somehow those unnecessary facts ended up clinging to my brain and I never forgot them anymore.

I wonder if he’ll be back again this year.
