Alec woke up in a warehouse, restrained to a table. He looked around in confusion.

Sam was standing nearby the door, looking out into the hallway. "Hey, guys."

Steve, Bree and Bucky walked in.

Alec looked up. "Bucky." He chuckled. "Steve and Bree."

"Which Alec are we talking to?" Steve asked.

Alec smiled a small smile. "Your mom's name was Sarah. You used to wear newspapers in your shoes." He chuckled. "Some jackass kept hitting on Bree at the bar. It was the day before we were sent out for enlistment. You told us that you could handle it because you didn't want us to lose it all over him. We still came to help."

"I told you you could remember," Bucky told him.

"Just like that, we're supposed to be cool?" Sam asked.

"What did I do?" Alec asked.

"Enough," Bree answered.

Alec sighed.

"I knew this would happen," Bucky told them. "Everything Hydra put inside him is still there."

"Yeah, but you weren't affected by the words," Bree told him. "So, there's a way to get it out of his head."

"Yeah," Bucky answered. "But it takes time. And it hurts like hell."

"Who was that guy?" Steve asked.

"I don't know," Bucky told them.

"Alec, people are dead," Steve told him. "The bombing. The set up. The doctor did all that just to get ten minutes with you. What did he want from you?"

"He wanted to know about Siberia," Alec answered. He looked at Bucky. "Where we were kept. He wanted to know exactly where."

"Why would he need to know that?" Bree asked.

Bucky sighed. "Because we're not the only Super Soldiers Hydra created."

Flashback

December 16, 1991

Oliana was at the car crash that Bucky had created that night, looking into the truck of the car to see that the briefcase was missing. She turned around, walking away, on her phone. "The serum's gone. Yes, sir. I know. I'll take care of it."

Oliana hung up, looking into the car to see two victims inside, looking sad.

        ✯

In Siberia, in a Hydra base, other soldiers aside from Bucky and Alec were being injected with the blue liquid, the Super Soldier serum.

        ✯

A soldier was taken forcefully to his room, thrown onto his bed and locked inside.

        ✯

The Hydra soldier that had first said the words could hear him groaning in pain. Sometime later, he unlocked the door, walking in to see him very built and muscular.

        ✯

Bucky and the soldier were training. Bucky tried to punch him. The soldier ducked, punching him in the face. Bucky punched him in the face with his metal arm, flipping him to the floor.

Other soldiers and Alec were watching in a daze.

The soldier kicked Bucky in the stomach, making him fall into the wall and to the floor.

The Hydra solider stood nearby, speaking in German. "Good work." A doctor walked toward the soldier. The soldier snapped his neck, pushing him to the floor. A Hydra agent hit the solider in the back with a baton. The solider turned to glare at him. The other soldiers stood. The Hydra soldier walked toward Alec, keeping a gun aimed at the others. "Get me out of here."

The soldiers attacked the Hydra agents.

Alec led the Hydra soldier to safety.

Bucky stood, watching the chaos in a daze.

    Now

Bucky was freeing Alec from the table.

Steve, Bree and Sam stood nearby.

"Who were they?" Bree asked.

"The most elite death squad," Bucky answered. "More kills than anyone in the Hydra history. And that was before the serum."

"They all turned out like the two of you?" Sam asked.

"Worse," Alec answered.

"The doctor, can he control them?" Steve asked.

"Enough," Alec answered.

"He said he wanted to see an empire fall," Bucky told them. "With these guys, he can do it. They speak 30 languages, can hide in plain sight, infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize. They can take a whole country down in one night. You'd never see them coming."

Sam walked toward Steve and Bree to whisper to them. "This would be a lot easier if we could..."

"If we called Tony and Jax," Steve finished.

"Oh, they won't believe us," Sam told them.

"Even if they did..." Bree trailed off.

"Who knows if the Accords will let them help," Sam finished.

"We're on our own," Steve told them.

"Maybe not," Sam told them. "I know a guy."

Bree was thinking. "And I think there's at least a couple of the team that's still on our side."

In the command center of the building they had been before, the Secretary of State Ross was holding a meeting with Tony, Jax, Ana and Natasha. "And I don't suppose you have any idea where they are."

"We will," Tony told him. "GSG-9's got the borders covered. Recons flying 24/7. They'll get a hit. We'll handle it."

"You don't get it, Tony," Ross told him. "It's not yours to handle. It's clear you can't be objective. I'm putting special ops on this."

"And what happens when the shooting starts?" Ana asked. "Let them kill Steve and Bree Rogers and Sam Wilson?"

"If we are provoked," Ross answered. "Barnes and Anders would have been eliminated in Romania if it wasn't for the three of them. There are dead people who would be alive now. Feel free to check my math."

"All due respect, you're not going to solve this with boys with bullets, Ross," Jax told him. "You got to let us bring them in."

"And how will that end any differently from the last time?" Ross asked.

"Because this time, we won't be wearing loafers and silk suits," Jax answered.

"72 hours, guaranteed," Tony told him.

"36 hours," Ross told them. "Barnes. Anders. Wilson. Both of the Rogers."

"Thank you, sir," Tony told him.

Ross walked out, leaving.

"My left arm is numb," Jax told them. "Is that normal?"

"Probably is when you take a bullet in it with a Gold Strike glove," Ana answered.

"Where'd Tatiana go?" Jax asked.

"Last I checked, she went to call and ask Dad for advice," Ana answered. "You guys all right?"

Tony nodded. "Always. 36 hours. Jeez."

"We're seriously understaffed," Natasha told them.

"Oh, yeah," Tony agreed.

"It would be great if we had a Hulk right about now," Tony told them. "Any shot?"

"No," Natasha answered. "You really think he'd be on our side?"

"I know," Tony told them.

"I have an idea," Ana told them.

"Me, too," Jax told her. "Where's yours?"

"Downstairs," Ana answered. "Where's yours?"

Jax smirked.

Queens

Peter Parker / Spider Man walked through an apartment building's hallway, into his own apartment, closing the door behind him. "Hey, Aunt May."

May Parker, Tony and Jax were sitting on the couch.

"Hey," May told him. "How was school today?"

Peter put down his bag. "Okay." He walked closer. "This crazy car's parked outside..."

Peter noticed Tony and Jax, in shock.

"Oh, Mr. Parker," Tony told him.

"Um, what?" Peter asked. "What are you doing... Hey. I'm--I'm--I'm Peter."

"Tony," Tony told him. "This is my son, Jax. But of course, you knew that."

Peter walked closer nervously. "What are... What are you--what are you--what are you doing here?"

"It's about time we met," Jax told him. May mouthed her words to Peter. 'I don't believe it.' "You've been getting my emails, right?"

Peter nodded nervously. "Yeah. Yeah. Regarding the..."

"You didn't tell me about the grant," May told him.

"About the grant," Peter told them.

"The September Foundation," Tony told them.

"Right," Peter told them.

"Yeah, remember when you applied?" Jax asked.

Peter nodded. "Yeah."

"We approved," Tony told him. "So, now, we're in business."

Jax gave Peter a look to silently tell him to play along.

Tony took a drink of tea.

May looked at Peter. "You didn't tell me anything. What's up with that? You're keeping secrets from me?"

Peter stammered nervously. "Why, I just--I just--I just know how much you love surprises, so I thought I would let you know... wh..." He looked at Jax and Tony. "Anyway, what did I apply for?"

"That's what we're here to hash out," Jax told him.

"Okay," Peter told them. "Hash--hash out. Okay."

Tony pointed at May. "It's hard for me to believe that she's someone's aunt."

May chuckled. "Yeah. Well, we come in all shapes and sizes, you know."

Peter and Jax were weirded out by the flirting between May and Tony.

"This walnut bake loaf is exceptional," Tony told her.

"Let me just stop you there," Jax told them.

"Is this grant, like, got money involved or whatever?" Peter asked. "No?"

Jax nodded. "Yeah."

"Yeah?" Peter asked.

"It's pretty well funded," Jax told him.

"Wow," Peter told them.

"Look who you're talking to," Jax told him. He looked at May and Tony. "Can I have five minutes with him?"

"Sure," May answered.

Jax stood, walking toward Peter, looking back at May and Tony. "I don't wanna hear any flirting from the other side of the door."

        ✯

Peter and Jax walked into Peter's room, closing the door.

Jax looked around the room. "Oh. What do we have here? Retro tech, huh? Thrift store? Salvation army?"

"Uh, the garage, actually," Peter answered.

"You're a dumpster diver," Jax told him.

"Yeah, I was," Peter answered. "Anyway, look, um... I definitely did not apply for your grant."

"Uh-uh," Jax told him. "Me first."

"Okay," Peter told him.

"Quick question of the rhetorical variety," Jax told him, pulling out his phone, showing him a hologram of Peter swinging on webs in a red and blue suit with black goggles. "That's you, right?"

Peter shook his head. "Um, no. What do you--what do you--"

"Yeah," Jax told him. He showed him another hologram. "Look at you go." Peter stopped a car from hitting a bus. "Wow, nice catch. 3000 pounds. 40 miles an hour. It's not easy. You got mad skills."

Jax put his phone away.

"That's all--that's all on Youtube, though, right?" Peter asked. "I mean, that's where you found it? 'Cause you know that's all fake. It's all done on a computer."

Jax looked up to see a trapdoor in the ceiling. "Mm-hmm."

Peter chuckled nervously. "It's like that video that records..."

Jax picked up a yard stick. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, you mean like those UFOs over Phoenix?"

"Exactly," Peter told him.

Jax used the yard stick to open the trapdoor.

Peter's suit fell out of the trapdoor, on a rope.

"What have we here?" Jax asked.

Peter ran closer, hiding the suit a second too late, turning to face Jax, leaning against the wall. "Uh... that's a..."

Peter sighed, nodding awkwardly.

Jax walked closer. "So... You're this Spiderling. Crime fighting spider. You're Spider Boy?"

Peter crossed his arms over his chest. "S--Spider Man."

"Not in that onesie, you're not," Jax told him.

"It's not a onesie," Peter told him, walking past Jax to the bed. Jax picked up the suit. "You won't believe this. I was actually have a real good day today, you know. Didn't miss my trains. This perfectly good DVD player was just sitting there, and... Algebra test. Nailed it."

"Who else knows?" Jax asked. "Anybody?"

Peter shook his head. "Nobody."

"Not even your aunt?" Jax asked, sitting down in a chair.

"No," Peter answered. "No, no, no, no. If she knew, she would freak out. An when she freaks out, I freak out."

Jax took out webbing from the suit. "You know what I think is really cool? This webbing." He tossed it at Peter. Peter caught it without looking. "Tensile strength is off the charts. Who manufactured them?"

"I did," Peter answered.

Jax picked up the black goggles. "Climbing the walls. How are you doing that? Cohesive gloves?"

"It's a long story," Peter told him. "I was, uh..."

Jax put the goggles on. "Lordy. Can you even see in these?"

"Yes," Peter answered. "Yes, I can. I can." He took the suit and goggles from Jax, putting them in his closet to hide. "I can--I can see in those. Okay? It's just that... when... whatever happened happened, it's like my senses have been dialed to 11. There's way too much input so... they just kinda help me focus."

"You're in dire need of an upgrade," Jax told him. "Systemic, top to bottom.  100-point restoration. That's why I'm here. That's why my dad is out there talking to your unusually attractive aunt to keep her busy while you and I talk." Peter sat on his bed. "Why are you doing this? I got to know. What's your MO? What gets you out of that twin bed in the morning?"

Peter tried to find the right way to explain. "Because I've been me my whole life. And I've had these powers for six months. I read books. I build computers. And--and, yeah, I would love to play football. But I couldn't then, so I shouldn't now."

"Sure," Jax told him. "'Cause you're different."

"Exactly," Peter told him. "But I can't tell anybody that, so I'm not. When you can do the things that I can, but you don't... and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you."

"So you wanna look out for the little guy," Jax told him. "You wanna do your part. Make the world a better place and all that right?"

"Yeah," Peter answered. "Yeah, just looking out... for the little guy. That's--that's what it is."

Jax leaned forward in his chair. "You got a passport?"

"Uh, no," Peter answered. "I don't even have a driver's license."

"You ever been to Germany?" Jax asked.

"No," Peter answered.

"Oh, you'll love it," Jax told him.

"I can't go to Germany," Peter told him.

"Why not?" Jax asked.

Peter hesitated awkwardly. "I got... homework."

Jax rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "All right, I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that."

Jax stood.

"I'm--I'm being serious," Peter told him. "I can't just drop out of school."

Jax walked toward the door. "This might be a little dangerous. Better tell Aunt Hottie we're taking you on a field trip."

Jax went to open the door.

Peter stood, shooting spider webs over Jax's hand, trapping it against the door. "Don't tell Aunt May."

"All right, Spider Man," Jax told him. He gestured to the webs. "Get me out of this."

Peter walked toward his desk to get the scissors. "Sorry. I'll get that."

It was night at the Avengers compound.

Vision and Wanda could see an explosion outside in the distance.

"What is it?" Wanda asked.

"Stay here, please," Vision told her, phasing through the wall, leaving the building.

Wanda heard something, using her red energy to throw a kitchen knife toward Clint Barton / Hawkeye's head, stopping it just before it pierced into his skull.

Clint pushed the knife aside. "Guess I should have knocked."

Tatiana walked closer.

Wanda looked at them in surprise. "Oh, my God. What are you doing here?"

"Helping my daughter," Clint answered. Tatiana shot electrified crossbow bolts into the walls in front of them. "Natasha and Ana are blinded by guilt and desire to make the time that they were controlled by Hydra enough to the point where they're falling for all of this. Luckily, Tatiana's not."

Tatiana walked toward them. "Star and Cap need our help. Come on."

They walked toward the door.

Vision phased in through the wall. "Clint. Tatiana." They stopped. "You should not be here."

"Really?" Clint asked. "I retired for, what, like five minutes? And it all goes to shit."

"Please consider the consequences of your actions," Vision told them.

Tatiana nodded, tilting her head. "Okay. They're considered."

Vision walked up to the point of the electrified crossbow bolts. Instead of exploded, they sent shock waves into Vision.

Clint looked at Wanda and Tatiana. "Okay, we got to go." Clint and Tatiana ran toward the door until they realized Wanda didn't move, stopping. "It's this way."

"I've caused enough problems," Wanda told them.

Clint jogged closer to her. "You got to help us, Wanda. Look. You want to whine? You can go to high school. You want to make amends? You get off your ass." Vision shot the electrified crossbow bolts with the Mind Stone in his forehead, freeing himself. "Shit." Wanda backed away. Vision walked closer. Clint tried to shoot Vision with an arrow. The arrow passed through Vision. Vision punched Clint in the face, making him fall. Clint rolled up to a crouching position. "I knew I should've stretched."

Tatiana drew a blade, slashing it through Vision without affect as Vision only made it pass through him. She slashed the blade through him again, distracting him long enough to punch him in the face, trying to kick him.

Vision made her pass through him, grabbing Tatiana from behind. "Tatiana, you can't overpower me."

"I know I can't," Tatiana told him. "Neither can my dad." She looked at Wanda. "But she can."

Clint stood, aiming his bow and arrow at Vision. "Vision, that's enough. Let her go."

Wanda formed a sphere of red energy in her hands. "I'm leaving."

"I can't let you," Vision told her.

Wanda spread the red energy, taking control of the Mind Stone in Vision's forehead, making it turn red.

Vision was forced to let Tatiana go.

Tatiana turned to face Vision, backing away to stand next to Clint.

"I'm sorry," Wanda told him, making Vision lower to his knees, starting to crack the floor.

"If you do this, they will never stop being afraid of you," Vision told her.

"I can't control their fear," Wanda told him. "Only my own."

Wanda pushed the sphere of red energy into Vision, pushing him through the floor, making him fall into the garage below and the floor crumble around him.

Clint looked through the hole in the floor. "Oh..." Wanda and Tatiana looked at him from either side of him. "Come on. We got one more stop."

Wanda, Clint and Tatiana walked out, leaving.
