Sonic and the others were hanging out on the mountain of star dust, the blue hedgehog laying on the ground as the others played with the 'galactic goldfish' as Amy had named them. "..... Someone doesn't know what a chili dog is." Sonic said out of nowhere. "What." Knuckles asked with pure confusion as Rouge, Silver, and Blaze just looked at him like flabbergasted. 

They heard grunts, their heads quickly turning towards the noise. Tails and Aster climbed up the side of another mound, the young wolf holding Mene in his arms. "TAILS!!" The gang exclaimed. 

Sonic was the first one to make it over to Tails, jumping off of a few fish and hugging them. "YOU'RE OK!!!" The blue hedgehog exclaimed as he hugged Tails. "Sonic!!" Tails smiled. Everyone else soon made it over and hugged the fox, all the goldfish swimming over to Aster and nuzzling up against him and Mene. 

All of them looked up at the wolf pup. "Who's your new friend?" Sonic asked. "Oh this is Aster!" Tails said with a bright smile, the young pup quietly counting all the goldfish. All the tiny goldfish swam happily, making little giggling noises. Aster turned his attention to the others for a moment and waved before continuing to quietly count.

"Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen!" He whispered quiet, "Phew." "Hello there." Sonic said with a bright smile and kneeled down to the wolf pup. "Uh hi." Aster said shyly causing Mene to glare. "I'm Sonic the hedgehog, who are you two?" "I'm Aster and this is Mene, they're my friend."

"Awww they're adorable!!" Amy said happily. Tails eyes beamed with hope, maybe they will still like me! Their thoughts were interrupted by a loud explosion in the distance. "Huh!?" All of them snapped their heads towards the noise, all the small goldfish swimming off making noises of fear.

"Oh no! It's ok!" Aster called out to the fish in worry. "What's wrong?" Amy asked. "I'm supposed to help them." Aster explained, "Me and Mene help take care of them as hatchlings until the guardian can take them here, we typically come with them on the migration but..."

"You were with me, huh?" Tails asked. "Yeah..." Aster whispered in response. "The guardian must be that whale!" Blaze said. "You're right!" Amy smiled, "You're really smart, you know that right?" The pink hedgehog said with a smirk, causing Blaze to blush a bit. 

"Come on!" Sonic exclaimed, "We need to find out what that noise was!!" "I agree, blue." Rouge smirked and elbowed Knuckles.

Sonic and the others jumped on to a star platform, they had ran for a few minutes in search for the explosion. Tails stubbled a bit, his eyes going wide at the near by sight. "I don't see anything!!" Sonic said with his hand to his forehead.

"Uh Sonic?" Tails asked, slowly turning to his friends. A ginormous space station floated in a large clearing, made out of a silver metal with the center a huge spinning top shape with a ring around it. The whole thing was surrounded by two rings, one vertical and one horizontal, connected to the center base. Every part of it seeming full of technology as yellow energy courses through it, badnicks flying around. 

"Egghead." All of the others send in unison, beside Tails and Aster who just stood there confused and Mene in his arms. The young wolf pup gulped, he remembered what Tails had said about 'Egghead' and it terrified him. 

"Come on! Let's go!" Sonic cheered. "How are we going to get in there without our powers?" Blaze raised her eyebrow. "Oh, right... " Sonic trailed off. "Well, me and Rouge can fly, " Tails began, a bit skeptical of themself, "and I took a few gadgets from Eggman's lair, Aster and Mene have powers still, and Amy has her terror cards." With his last words a bit of hope simmered in their smile.

"But the rest of us are powerless." Silver spoke with a calm yet frustrated tone. "Ha! Have you seen ✨me✨?" Sonic said with a smirk, "If ya haven't, I don't need my speed to take out egghead." All of Sonic's friends raised their eyebrows. "Ok fine, let's just get this over with." Sonic rolled his eyes. 

The fight began, Sonic spin dashing at a few robots and sliding onto another platform, not quite use to not going fast. The robots locked onto Sonic before being destroyed by a roar of Amy's terror cards, slicing each robot to bits.

A robot sent out a large bright orange blast towards the yellow fox who stood apon a platform. Aster quickly got in the way, using a platform beneath his feet like a snowboard and reflecting the blast making it hit the badnick.

"Woohoo!" Aster exclaimed calmly, tossing Mene up in victory. The star beneath his feet suddenly disappeared, the pup beginning to fall, screaming. Mene quickly looked done and began to dive, Aster hugging onto the tightly and floating in place again.

The wolf's eyes opened, and he looked at himself and Mene, "Huh?" He whispered to himself. "Are you ok, Aster!?!?" Tails shouted out in worry. "Uh yeah, I think so." Aster responded, still a bit shaken up. "Nice one, star boy!" Sonic called out, giving and large thumbs up.

"Uh thanks!?" Aster responded, "I guess Tails' snowboarding lessons really helped out." Those last words made Tails smiled brightly and he didn't even notice it themself! 

"Can we get moving already!?" Blaze asked at last. "How do we get in with this onslaught of robots?" Amy said as she threw her terror cards at some robots. "I can hack it to the main terminal! Maybe I can shut them down!!" Tails said, their two tails wagging. 

"Nice one, bud!" Sonic said with a thumbs up. Knuckles grunted as he punched at the badnicks, "Well make it quick! My punches aren't very strong!" "On it!" Tails began to hack into robots system, pressing button after button.

"Hurry Tails," Silver called, "we can't hold them off forever, especially since most of us are powerless." "I'm trying!" The young fox said in desperation. Soon the robots turned off, all of them sighing in relief. "Phew!"

The inside of the space station was larger, long hallways stretching throughout. A hatch opened from the ceiling and fell to the floor, rattling around. Tails jumped down, glancing around and taking out a gadget.

The fox took a few steps, kicking a robot with their foot. "Ok, we're in the clear." They said calmly. Sonic and Aster jumped out of the vent, Sonic helping the young wolf as the others soon followed. 

"Now let's turn this egghead into an omelet." Knuckles said as he punched his knuckles together. "Soon, knuckle head." Sonic said with a cheeky smirk. Knuckles glared in response.

"Come on, let's focus and find out what Eggman's up to." Tails said calmly. "Agreed." Blaze said coldly, crossing her arms. Tails and the others began looking around, the halls were long and silver, robots laying on the ground, dead as a rock. Tails looked into a room, quietly gasping.

There was a large room in front of him with a platform that went around the upper part where they stood. There were a couple flights of stairs leading down to a large area with a gigantic tube similar to the one Mene had previously been contained in, this one being blocked by metal plates with several computer boards at the base.

"Oh... my... Chaos..." Tails whispered to themself, "Guys!? You might wanna check this out!" He called out, standing in the doorway. Sonic and the others quickly made their way over, quietly gasping, apart from Aster.

"Woah." Sonic said before beginning to run off. "Sonic wait!! There could be a trap!!" Tails called out, reaching his hand towards Sonic with no avail. Amy sighed and quickly ran after the blue hedgehog with the others following. 

Sonic ran down a flight of stairs and walked over to the 'cloning tube' like device. "Sonic, be careful!" Tails said as he ran over. "I'm not going to touch it!" He said with a playful smirk as he walked backwards.

Aster slowly walked over to the tube, Mene in his arms. The small, odd creature made little noises, trying to reach out. "I think there's someone's in there..." The young wolf spoke quietly. Tails ears perked up.

"If something's in there we need to get them out." Silver said. "Not a something, a someone. " Aster corrected, his words making the whole room feel ominous. "Tails," Amy looked at the fox, "is there anything you can do?" "Well, I could try hacking into it."

"Then what are you waiting for, little buddy!?" Sonic exclaimed with a smile. "Ok, fine." Tails sighed and walked over, quickly beginning to type in the computer boards. 

Slowly the metal around the tube uncovered it, revealing the inside glowing a bright yellow and a small creature inside. The creature looked identical to Mene but an orange-ish yellow tone as it floated there, almost lifeless. "Woah..."

Suddenly an alarm went off and robots appeared out of nowhere, surrounding the gang. "Uh, meow?" Sonic said. The robots quickly attacked, Sonic and the others doing their best to defend themselves but failing.

Two robots grabbed each of them and restrained them back. "LET ME GO!!" Knuckles roared as he struggled to move. Eggman flew down in his egg mobile, a large smirk on his egg-shaped face.

"Egghead!" Sonic growled. "LET'S US GO YOU-" Knuckles was cut off by the doctor. "Now now, Knuckles, I doubt struggling is going to help you right now considering your predicament." 

Aster gulped. "What are you up to, Eggman?!" Sonic said with a glare. "Oh nothing much." The doctor chuckled. "Where are we!?" Silver asked a bit frustrated. "You are in what I like to call: The Star Light Dimension. A world between worlds if you will, a dimension ment to keep the peace and control the others. But it also holds great power, and you have just brought me the last piece!!"

With the doctors last words, a one of the robots holding Aster grabbed Mene. "Hey! Give them back!" The young wolf said as he tried to reach for his friend. "I think not, rat!!!" The doctor smirked, "You all are going back where you can't mess with my plans!!"

The doctor flew down next to the contentment tube, pressing a big red button. "SAYONARA, PESTS!!!" He yelled as energy ran through the building, a large portal opening up behind them all. Aster's eyes went wide as he looked back at the portal, the ground begining to shake.

Sonic tried to run but energy from his feet went to the machine holding the strange creature. "SONIC!!!" Amy yelled, catching the blue hedgehog's attention. Everyone was quickly sucked into the portal, leaving Mene in the clutches of one of Eggman's robots.
