The victory at Corneria is bittersweet. Both fighter squadrons are flying side by side as they head out of the system.

Fox: Thanks for the assist, David.

David: No problem. I'm glad you guys arrived to help stop the attack.

Fox: We'll explain more when this is over. Follow me.

David: Roger.

Fox and his squad lead David and the Phoenix Squadron towards the systems of Lylat Galaxy. In front of them was a large ship.

Numa: What is that?

Slippy: It's our command ship, the Great Fox.

David: Nice.

Fox: It also our carrier for our ships. We should rest for a bit before continuing on.

Fox and his squad led David and his towards the Great Fox. The ships land inside the hangar before the pilots disembark.

Kyle: Finally. I was starting to get a wedgie from all this flying.

Falco: Heh.

The pilots meet and greet each other.

Fox: So who are you guys?

Falco: How come you don't have have hair oflr feathers on you?

Kyle: We're humans if you don't mind.

David: He is right, sir. We are. My name is David Antilles. Leader of the Phoenix Squadron of the Rebel Alliance. This is my squad.

Numa approaches the squad before Fox begins gazing at her.

Fox: Who is she?

David: This is Numa, second in command of the squad. She is also a Twi'lek.

Slippy: Amazing.

Kyle: (to Duke and Cleat) Sounds like this guy has feelings for her.

Duke and Cleat nod in agreement.

Numa walks to him before smacking him across the back of his head.

Kyle: Ow!

Numa: This is Kyle, my gunner for my ship.

David: Over here is Paige Tico aka Pai-Pai. The Shipping Killer.

Pai: Hai!

The girl bows before Fox and his team.

Falco: Ship killer, eh? By the way, thanks for saving back there.

Paige: You're most welcome, Falco.

David: This is Duke and this Cleat.

Duke: Hi, there.

Cleat: Hello.

David: Thank you for saving Cleat's life.

Peppy: It is what we do.

Then there was beeping when they turn and see David's droid, BB-6.

David: BB-6! I forgot about you, buddy.

Fox: What is that?

David: This is BB-6, my partner for my X-Wing.

Falco: Nice ships you guys fly.

Duke: Thanks. So who are you guys?

Fox: The name's Fox. Fox McCloud. Leader of the Star Fox.

Peppy: Name's Peppy Hare, James McCloud's old wingman.

Falco: Falco Lombardi here. I'm the hotshot pilot whose got your back in a dogfight.

Slippy: I'm Slippy Toad. The brains and the mechanical genius for the team.

David: Nice. You said James McCloud right?

Fox: He was my father.

Peppy: I was with him when Andross was overlooking the Lylat. We were betrayed by Pigma.

Fox: That overgrown slime ball who "volunteered" for the mission.

Peppy: Pigma was working for Andross the whole time and he lead us into a trap. James sacrificed his life to save me.

Fox: That was five years ago. I will put and end to Andross' reign of terror once and for all.

David: Sounds like the Galactic Empire.

Falco: Galactic Empire?

David then explains to them that the Empire had terrorized the Galaxy with an iron fist lead by Emperor Palpatine. He was defeated and the Death Star was destroyed by his father, Wedge Antilles. Fox was impressed about this. Then he shows them around the Great Fox and even introducing them Phoenix squad to ROB.

ROB: Incoming transmission from General Pepper.

Then all of a sudden, the squads received a message from General Pepper.

General Pepper: "Impressive, Star Fox. Now watch out for enemies in the Asteroid Fields." 

Fox: "You got it, sir.

The transmission ends.

Fox: Looks like we got work to do, people.

David: You don't have to tell us twice.

Fox: Let's go!

The pilots scrambled to their ships before departing from the Great Fox. They are heading for the Asteroid Fields.
