The Phoenix Squadron spread out and attack Andross' force while the civilians are being evacuated from the city. 

David: All wings, engage! 

The squadron breaks formation and engage the enemy. David fires the X-Wing's cannons destroying several enemy fighters from the sky. 

David: Heh! Too easy.

Phoenix 2 attacks several fighters, knocking them out of the sky. Then a red laser misses the ARC-170 and Numa turns and sees a two fighters shooting at her. 

Numa: Kyle, get them off!

Kyle: Working on it!

Kyle aims the gun turret and fires back. The lasers manage to strike the cockpit and it explodes into a fireball. Numa then barrel rolls before making a hard left. The enemy fighter still chases her. Kyle fires and it hits the ship, destroying it. Pae-Pae dives it and strafes the ground forces, destroying tanks, transports and robots. She then flies up to the sky before destroying enemy fighters. 

Duke and Cleat take out several tanks before they come under fire. Two of them then go after Cleat. 

Cleat: Phoenix 4, I'm in trouble!

Duke: Hang on, Cleat!

Duke was about to help when his X-Wing was hit by several lasers. He looks and sees several fighters attacking him. He breaks of trying to get the enemy off of him. Cleat struggles as she tries to get the enemy off of her. 

Cleat: Help!

BB-6 alerts and David looks and sees Cleat under attack.

David: Hang on, Phoenix 5. 

Then radar alerts him. David looks and see four stream of cloud forming before they reach to the ocean. They are moving in fast. One of the enemy fighters look and see the four fighters approaching them. 

Enemy pilot: It's Star Fox! Everyone, ignore the those new fighters and destroy them!!

The fighters break off and they go after the four ships. Cleat sighs in relief.

David looks before the enemy fighters were destroyed by the four spacecraft.

"Who are they?" Asked Kyle.

"I don't know, but I'm glad they are on our side" David replied.

Then BB-6 alerts him and his screen shows a humanoid fox on screen.

Pilot: Unidentified craft. This is Star Fox. State your business here.

David: This is David Antilles of the Phoenix Squad. We are engaging the enemy. We were sent by General Pepper to hold off Andross' forces. We could use some help.

Fox: Understood, David. We'll do our best.

Then appearing on the screen was a blue falcon.

???: Who are they, Fox?

???: I guess those guys are helping out with the Cornerian Defense Force.

???: Glad you guys are not hostile.

The fighters engage the hostile forces, destroying everything in their path. Then one of the enemy ships goes after one of the unknown fighter.

???: Could use some help here!

Pai-Pai see the enemy attacking and flies in. She shoots the B-Wing's cannons and it destroys the enemy. The fighter flies next to the craft and the pilots look at each other.

???: Thanks for the save. Falco is the name.

Paige nods before diving in.

The rest of the squadron took out the last remaining forces before they return to the tower. Then something from above approaches. BB-6 warns David. He looks up and sees a giant fortress with four turbo lasers.

David: Look alive, squad. We got a big one.

???: This is Slippy. I've analyzed the shield. We need to take out all four laser turrets.

David: Copy that, Slippy. Squad, you have new targets. Take them out!

The squadron head for the Fortress and attack the laser turrets. David and Fox attack the first turret.

Fox: David, we fire at the same time to destroy it.

David: Got it.

They got close within range.

Fox: Now!

Fox and David fire the cannons and laser took out the first turret. A live of the Fortress fall to the ground.

Numa, Kyle, and Slippy attack the second turret before enemy returns fire.

???: Do, a barrel roll!!!

Slippy does a barrel roll and the lasers deflect from the craft. Numa does it and dodges through the barrage.

Numa: I got this!

She locks on a fires a proton torpedo. It homes in and destroys the second turret.

Slippy: Whoa!!! Nice!!

Numa: Thanks.

Falco, and Paige fly through the fire and fire their cannons destroying the third turret.

Falco: Gotcha!!!

Paige: Take that!!!

The two craft fly from the Fortress.

Falco: Not bad for a pilot.

Paige: And you're not too shabby.

???: This is Peppy. We're going in.

Peppy, Duke, and Cleat dive in and enage the enemy.

Enemy pilot: Destroy those pests!!!

Then four missiles are fired and they head for the fighters.

Peppy: Look out!

Duke and Cleat dodge them but they turn around and follow. Duke sees the missiles and the turret.

Duke: I got an idea!

Cleat: Be careful.

Duke flies his X-Wing towards the turret as the missile follows him. He dukes underneath it and the missiles destroy the last turret. All the four pieces are town off leaving only the rocket.

Enemy commander: Curse you, Star Fox!!! You too, creatures! When Andross here this, you're through!!!

The Rocket takes off and leaves Corneria. The skies are cleared as the civilians cheered. The two groups link up and they flew over the people before flying pass the tower. General Pepper sees them and salutes as they flew pass him.

David: You guys alright?

Duke: We're good, sir.

Numa: All enemy targets are destroyed.

Cleat signs in relief knowing the enemy has been defeated.

David: Hey, Cleat. You ok?

Cleat: Yeah. I'm good.

Fox: Thanks guys. We own you one.

David: No problem, Fox.

General Pepper: I'm afraid. There is no time to celebrate. Andross' forces are threatening the galaxy. The Phoenix Squadron will be aiding you on this campaign.

Fox: Understood, sir.

David smiles knowing that he and his squadron have join Star Fox to fight against Andross.
