The next day you three visit the Meradium and get to the lake. You and Chat notice that there is nothing grabbing after you, him or Octavia. "There's nothing attacking us, and we're actually breathing and not drowning!" Chat looks around, "As long as you're here with me nothing will attack you. Octavia goes to the lake and dips her hand into the water, "I am Octavia, the Reed is whole again and we need to know what can break the curse of the Reed? The very thing that will defeat William and his forces? How much time is left before it's too late?" she asks sternly. The lake glows blue as the place began to shake, you and Chat Noir keep your balance. "I have been waiting for you Octavia the Souhaitian, I have done as you asked to never give out information. The ones who seek to give them a riddle beyond imagination to prevent consequences like this situation. However you never excluded yourself out of the list, so riddles for you they also exist!" Suddenly the place begins to fill with water, "Ugh!" Octavia curses herself. "I didn't think it through!"

 "Wait so even with you we STILL have to answer a riddle?!" Chat asks in disbelief, as you worry about the water now ankle deep. "I didn't think of it when I created this lake!" "You MADE this lake!?" you ask in shock. 

"Yes! Before I sealed myself in the Reed, I put all of my knowledge into this lake and told it that many will seek answers for simple and complicated things. It must give hard riddles, and the person must answer it right before it'll give them what they seek. It gave riddles to help prevent possible vital information to be given out to the wrong minds. And so far it's done just that. It can tell the future as well but... it can only do it on one occasion and that's if I myself or you, y/n ask it to do so." Octavia says, as the lake giggles. 

"Oh boy..." she groans, "What's the riddle!?" she asks irritated. 

"You sound mean without regard, now the riddle will be twice as hard! HEHEHHEHEHE!" the lake laughs louder, "BOTH WORLDS WILL BE ENGULFED IN DARKNESS BECAUSE OF YOUR GOOFINESS WILL YOU JUST ANSWER MY QUESTION!?" 

"Erm, Octavia the water is rising! That lake is doing what you told it to do! You told it to not give any information to ANYBODY including yourself! You just didn't think it through that's all!" you jog to Octavia kicking up water, and rest your hands on her shoulders, "You simply made a mistake. It's alright" you softly smile. 

"I...I made a mistake?..." she trails off, disappointed in herself, "We all make mistakes! I sure do! Chat does too! I mean even P/n made one, it accidentally ran into a tree when I was learning how to ride a magic carpet at the time!" you say. "But the more you argue with this lake the more time we waste! You're very smart, this is your mind, right?" "....Alright." Octavia takes a breath.

 All three of you look at the lake, "You ask two questions, two riddles you get! First, think of the color of the clouds. Next, think of the color of snow. Now, think of the color of a bright full moon. Now answer quickly what do cows drink?"

"Water" Octavia answers before you or Chat could think. "Wonderful! I will answer your first question! Answer this second riddle right and everything will be alright! Answer it wrong, and you'll die hearing a death song." the lakes voice goes dark.

 "I hurt the most when lost, yet also when not had at all. I'm sometimes the hardest to express, but the easiest to ignore. I can be given to many, or just one. What am I?" it asks. 

"Huh..." I put my hands on my hips.

"Don't answer it or guess it. Once you do you'll be dragged into this too!" Octavia says to you and Chat. Octavia worried you and Chat as she seemed genuinely puzzled. "What's wrong?" Chat asks. "....I outsmarted myself" she stares at the lake in disbelief. "It asked me something I have no idea about. I want another riddle!"

 "No can do! You should know that I am your mind. The answer you know but is from behind!" the lake laughs a bit more violently and begins to turn black, "Uhhh Octavia?" "I don't know, I don't know!" Octavia begins to fall apart. 

"Octavia this is your own mind that means you already know what the answer is but not directly! The answer is in the back of your mind!" Chat helps out. 

"Chat!" you call out, that means that Chat will be punished too if Octavia gets the answer wrong. You repeat the riddle for her, "I hurt the most when lost, yet also when not had at all. I'm sometimes the hardest to express, but the easiest to ignore. I can be given to many, or just one. What am I?! IT'S A FEELING, AN EMOTION! The hints are in the riddle itself! Hurt, express, lost and ignore. That means what ever emotion this is, is is the answer! And that very emotion occurred when you had negative feelings Octavia! That means the emotion is a positive one but you had negativity going on when-" you cut yourself off looking at the lake, it began to bubble and build up. "I DON'T KNOW! I'm sorry I...failed you" Octavia falls to her knees.

 The once cheerful and innocent laughs of the lake became deeper and more distorted. The water became black and formed into a liquidy giant hand. Octavia figured out that the riddle had to originate from her, from her emotions. "UUHHHH- AH, OCTAVIA!" you yell as the hand slams on the ground and Octavia dodges. 

"Why is it attacking you!?" Chat yells. "Don't you get it!?" Octavia yells back as the hand keeps grabbing after her violently, "She answered wrong with 'I don't know' this must be the consequence of answering a riddle wrong!.....?!?!" you explain but feel the water going up to your waist. 

"Okay, I get that but why is the water black!? We have to do something! I can use my Cataclysm to destroy it!" "Wait! Octavia said this is her mind, it's part of her, you destroy it and you destroy her mind. The only one who knows her mind best is Octavia herself. She created the lake herself!....But why is the lake black?" you explain ending in question again, "You have one last try. Octavia!" the hand grabs her.

 She shown no struggling, flashbacks appeared through her mind, "You don't know what love is? I feel you know but maybe you say it differently." "What...what is love?" 

 'Why do I feel this way when I'm near my owner? I shouldn't. Maybe it's just a reaction, since I have never met a human before. What could happen if humanly ways have rubbed off on me and Souhaitians would notice? 

"I should tell you this though, Octavia. I love you" ....I hurt the most when lost, yet also when not had at all. I'm sometimes the hardest to express, but the easiest to ignore. I can be given to many, or just one.....'Is this what love feels like?'

"Perhaps the lake isn't just connected with her mind, but her heart as well...." Chat trails off. "...Black, emotionally can mean depression, sadness, fear and other things. She feels like she failed us. That's it. Fear. Even though she's seen as a powerful undefeatable genie, even she has a weakness. She has a fear of failure." he explains.

 You listen and gasp, the lake is the answer- it's connected with her mind and heart!

Octavia shown no signs of struggle, "Are you giving up already?" the lake laughs, black water gushed in more with no signs of stopping. ".....Did I love him?" Octavia asks herself.

 One last thought went through her mind that made her realize it. Chat Noir's words, "I could have wished for gold or whatever, but I'm fine as long as she's here. Because she makes me happy and I love her!" William was happy with Octavia, even somehow with greed taken over him, she was still the apple of his eye. He was willing to want to rule the world with her. But she preferred freedom. Ruling was something she was not down with. 

"I loved him....Will you repeat the riddle one last time for me?"

 "I hurt the most when lost, yet also when not had at all. I'm sometimes the hardest to express, but the easiest to ignore. I can be given to many, or just one....WHAT.AM.I." the lake repeated once more, but much more darker and distorted, with a more violent approach. 

 "You're love." suddenly the water stops moving. The water turns back blue and the hand looses formation as it splashed with the rest of the water that filled half way up the room. Octavia stops her fall with her levitation. The water lowers and dissolves into the ground. The familiar transparent water lady rises up from the lake. 

She suddenly becomes happy and bubbly, "Aw, you got both of them right, it hasn't been that long since I've had a visitor in sight! I'll give you answers you seek, before more danger enter and sneak!" The lake notices the Reed around Octavia's neck, "I see the Reed is whole again. That means William and his crew knows of it's existence and you then. You ask how to break the curse of the Reed when you answered your own question. 'There is a way to lift it but even I do not know how to break the curse and will not be able to as I am sealed, but the one with my powers will be able to break it.' The curse was made by your own negative feelings and depression. Y/n is the one with the answer but however, that and a sacrifice will happen when she uses the Reed to stop the captain!"

 "The answer is love! But it's not just love between two people, but it's the connection that connects us all as beings in general." You say to yourself.

 "But a sacrifice? Can't there be another way?" Chat asks. "We'll have to outsmart the Reed itself." Octavia says. "Alright then." you all agree. 

"You ask how much time is left ahead, I may show you as this world is filling with dread." the water lady says. The lake glows as you all go to it. Outlined in white, was the map of your world, including Souhait, but a large black cloud is covering a large section of the map. 

"Woah, what is that?" Chat points at the black cloud obscuring half of the map. "This is what the captain is conjuring. He is already conquering worlds already. Thanks to you and your friends taking the bottles, he will not be able to make any wishes." the lake explains to you. The black cloud was slowly but surely moving and spreading, it was covering all of Souhait, the rainforest you all were once in, half of Spirland Mountain and at the edges of Crystalis, and near the Meradium.

 Octavia's eyes widen, "There's no way a human could have this...skill. William has to be getting power from somewhere...." "Could it be the fairies? He's working with fairies!" you say and Chat agrees. "No wonder..." Octavia cuts herself off and holds up her hand. You and Chat look at each other confused, Octavia looks at the entrance quickly and does a motion with her hands like grabbing a rope. The seaweed races towards it and a yelp echoes through, and the seaweed grabs a fairy from the corner. 

She struggles, "AH LET ME GO! LET ME GO! I-I WON'T TELL ANYONE!"

 "A fairy?!" you get shocked.

 "That's a fairy?" Chat raises a brow. 

The seaweed gives Octavia the fairy and she grabs it roughly. It was a lot smaller, "A spy." Octavia says. "What are you doing here?" she asks it, the water lady watched and said nothing but slowly her body began to turn a transparent red. "None of your business!!" the fairy says with attitude. Octavia presses her finger against its forehead, "Hey what are you-" the fairy fell limp, "Tell me what you're doing and where William is" she asks. 

The fairy's voice was monotone, like in a trance, "I...am spying for Captain William. I have been spying for him and following his orders of making obstacles to prevent the Reed being whole again which I have failed to do........Captain William is in Souhait, he has conquered Souhait. The Souhaitians are his slaves. He is looking for you....Octavia, I have found you. I will come for you Octavia-we will be together once again and nothing will break us-AAHH-" Octavia puts the fairy to sleep(why did i laugh at this lol). 

The water lady goes from red to black. "Oh no." "That fairy was spying on us the whole time? Then....how did it know that we was here?" Chat asks. "It was obviously following us and we didn't know. It makes sense now...the girl at the forest...and somehow we almost got caught on Spirland Mountain. But why was it talking weird like that at the end?" you ask Octavia who's expression was as if someone just went pale. 

"That was William himself talking at the end!! That means he knows where we are!! Alright, after this question, I ask you to return to your true form and return to me. How much time do we have left?" she asks the lake. 

The lake turns back into it's blue color again. "One last riddle as time sets on me, the very answer is how much time is left for thee. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?" she asks.

 "Yesterday, today and tomorrow" Octavia answers with ease. "Correct!"

 "Yesterday today and tomorrow. That means we have one day left!" you say, worried. 'We have until the next sunset-tomorrow' Chat thinks. "Thank you. You have done your duty" Octavia smiles lightly at the water lady. 

"It's been an honor to you all." The water lady glows, and becomes smaller, giggling, morphing into a floating water bubble. Octavia drinks it and swallows it. Her markings glow for a few seconds before going back to normal. "Aw, I'm gonna miss her, despite how much she got on our nerves" Chat comments. 

"You're telling me that she was a drink of water this whole time? Well then...how do you feel Octavia-" Octavia cuts you off in a panic. "We have to go now! She was the one that held this place together!" she says, you all run out and water floods in quickly.

Soon after, the reef where the lake resided was soon flooded and caved in and closed off. You all rode on your carpet, "Where are we going now?" Chat asks. 

"Earth! Where else?!" Octavia says. You and Chat's eyes widen, "WHAT!?" you complain "But what for!?"

 "You have to use the Reed! William's crew is huge, and it's going to take more than just the three of us to stop him!" "But I'm not ready to fight! What about what you said earlier, how I'm some successor of your legacy or whatever?! You have your knowledge and A LOT more powerful than before! I'm just a wish granting genie! I don't get how come I'm the one who has to do this!" you whine, feeling your heart beat fast. 

 "Because! I'm only able to fight along-side you. My time is over in this world. I can't go back!" Octavia explains, as you teleport to your bottle, well the inside of it. "Why?! You're still alive and-" you question more.

"I don't think it would be a great idea to pop back in my homeland after being gone for centuries." "Oh" you say "Centuries?! Y/n how old are you-" Chat shuts his mouth after both you an Octavia shoot him a look.

You all fly out of the bottle. Now on Earth. You accidentally hit your head on the bench, moving it out of the way. It's dark. "Oww, okay what time is it here?" you rub your head. "Where are we?" Octavia asks, looking around. "We're in Paris, France." Chat says.

 "Paris!? Wooowwww, I can see the Eiffel tower! It still looks the same from the last time I saw it!" Octavia sighs as Chat digs up the genie bottle out of the ground. Chat looks around, "Something's wrong...." he looks at the time and date on his staff 

"We've been gone for 2 months and right now it's day. Why is it dark in the afternoon?" he asks. "You're right...... and there's no one out here either!" you say. "....These clouds, they look like that big cloud from the map the lake shown us!" Octavia realizes.

 "But that can't be! Didn't the lake say it hasn't reached Earth yet?!" "Well apparently it has" Octavia says and her eyes glow bright white and a map of the Earth shows. The big black cloud was coming from the North Pole, and over half the Earth was covered, and soon the cloud would reach the USA and Japan. "William is a lot more busy than we thought. Now that you mention a cloud I'm getting cold." Chat runs his arms with his hands. "We'll have to hurry, if we don't stop William in time, the Earth will get smothered and at this point will soon enter an ice age!" Chat exclaims.

 "Y/n, hurry and use the Reed!" Octavia says. You nod and take the necklace off and remove the Reed from the chain. You look at it, it's too small to use! "Uh....Oh!" you got an idea and decide you use your Genie magic to make the Reed big enough to play.

 It is a musical instrument after all. You hold the golden instrument, its warmth in your hands making you shiver the cold off. Its golden glow illuminating you and the grass below. You hear your heart beat in your ears, you become nervous, not only your home needs you and the others, but the Earth and the other worlds that reside near yours as well. You slowly put the mouth piece to your lips 

.....but before you could puff a single puff into the instrument, it gets slapped out of your hands startling you!!

"Ah!"

 "What the?!" Chat looks around. The same fairy from before was flying in the air giving you an evil grin, "You thought you escaped me but ya didn't! HAHA! You will not undo what Captain William has done!- OOF!" before she could say anything else, Chat Noir smacks her out of the air with his baton, grabs ahold of her in his hand and throws the Reed back to you, "Thanks!" you smile. 

"Argh! Let me go!" "Just be quiet and watch" Chat snickers. You put the Reed to your mouth and take a deep breath and blow into the instrument. You had no idea how to play such an instrument but the music went out on its own. Your fingers began to move on their own over the holes in rhythm, you hear other instruments such as a piano. Golden light and glowing gold butterflies began to fly out of the flute and fly off, it looked like fireflies out on a dark summer night. Those butterflies were the lights that shined in the darkness from these dark clouds.

The song finished and you could control your fingers again. You remove the instrument from your lips and looked at it hearing Chat, "I didn't know you could play the flute!" "I never knew. But what happens? The other Earth Genies are supposed to be here!" you look at him confused. "I don't know myself what would happen, I'm sorry for not having that knowledge, y/n" Octavia says.

 It was just silence, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Did I do something wrong? What did I do wrong? You worry. "Why isn't it working!?" you try to blow another puff of air into the Reed but not a note came out, you tried again, about to panic. "Why?!" "Y/n, look!" Chat points. You look up and your e/c eyes see from a distance golden butterflies returning back like a huge flock of birds! There were hundreds of them! Behind them were people flying behind them. They were all led to the field in front of you three. Chat's mouth was agape. 

There were all kinds- boys girls men women even children of all races. "Those are genies!!??" "It seems so!" you say excitedly. 

Some were confused and some were worried. Some of the genies were already awakened by a master of their own, and before they knew it, a golden butterfly tells them their homeland is in extreme danger and the voice of the Reed calls them for help. Some were in their dormant sleep waiting for another owner to pick their bottle up. While some slept for thousands of years and never were found until the moment they were awoken by a glowing butterfly.

 All genies knew of the Reed, but at some point it became a myth- until that very moment. The large crowd of around 200 genies were looking for the one who played the Reed. You stood up on a park table, Chat and Octavia stands beside you. You make a mega phone with your magic. "YO! YOU'RE LOOKING FOR THE GENIE WHO PLAYED THE REED?! HERE SHE IS!" You yell and the genies flew over, surrounding the table, 

"You! Why did you blow the Reed?! I was in the middle of doing something for my owner!" 

"I was sleeping"

 "What's going on with Souhait?! Weird things have been going on!!"

"I was on, on a pway date with my owner."

 "I last saw the place obliterated! I barely escaped!"

 "I heard the pirates kidnapped the genies!" a genie says, then a bunch of others look at them "THEY WHAT?!"

Octavia speaks up, "BE QUIET!" her voice booms through the crowd and everyone falls silent.

 "....IS THAT OCTAVIA!? THE OCTAVIA!?" "That can't be! They said she basically did like what humans do, like die I guess?"

 "Wait Octavia's real?" "Who's Octavia?"

You speak on the mega phone. "Listen everyone! I know you know what's probably going on. It's a lot but long story short. I am y/n, I am an earth genie like you all! I was one of the newest recruits. This here is Chat Noir, my owner and over here is the legendary genie Octavia. Right now the pirates have kidnapped our people, taking over not only our homeland, but our world. Right now, you're in Paris, France! This big cloud covering this city is the same cloud that is covering our world, but we didn't think it'd reach here so fast. Chat and I recovered the pieces of the Reed but sacrifices had to be made along the process. If we don't hurry and solve this, Earth will turn into a giant snowball and our world will be taken away from us by the same human that Octavia banned! We'll be slaves! Do you want that to happen?! We need your help to stop his army he built up, so Octavia, Chat and I can nip this in the bud. Do you all understand me?!" you yell almost in tears, while Chat comforted you. 

Everyone cheered on, "We have to go now! That bottle over there is where we have to go! Let's go! Plenty of room!" I say, and we all hop into the bottle.

"Alright, we'll need a plan. We'll need a small group to act as bait." Chat explains. "I'll lead the pack" Octavia says. A few of us look at her, "Octavia-" I start. "We're trying to get to the captain as fast as possible. William already knows I'm out somewhere, so he's most definitely looking for me. So if I'm caught as well, I'll be brought to him" she explains. 

"I can turn Chat and I into butterflies! That way we'll get to him without being seen!" I say. "Great idea" Chat says.

I yell aloud for everyone to hear "Are we ready?"
