"Don't play dumb! You know of our plans!"

 "William I do not wish to rule the world with you AT ALL. I prefer being where I am at! The moment you took one look- the moment I let you into my heart, is the moment you stabbed it! Your eyes have seen too much, and you allowed greed to engulf you! I will not allow you to leave this world only for you to endanger it!" Octavia yells, very upset. "AS YOUR MASTER, I COMMAND YOU TO GRANT MY LAST TWO WISHES AND I WISH TO BE AS POWERFUL AS YOU, TO TAKE OVER BOTH WORLDS-WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. I loved you, we can rule everything together- everyone and everything bowing down to our feet!" everyone gasps. Octavia stares at him, "You're no longer there.... you're gone....you let greed turn you into a monster!"

"DO IT NOW." he drives his sword at her and makes it stop inches away from her throat as everyone screamed, "Everyone stay back!" Octavia says aloud. William manage to slice the chain of her necklace holding her flute-the Reed and have it into his hands. "Oh no..." people began mumbling in worry.

Octavia makes the sword shatter into pieces and William is unable to move. "William, one thing I know of is that a magician never teaches an old dog new tricks. One thing I never told you, or anyone for that matter," she snatches her flute from his hands.

"I am the first Earth Genie. The first Souhaitian to become a genie. I was the very one who made those rules I told you when we first met. I am the only genie who can revoke wishes, and grant them to my will. So I will not grant your wish, nor will I ever grant a wish for you either, or any other genie. You will no longer be able to have any wishes. I am no longer your genie, and as punishment and for the safety of both worlds, you will be here forever, until your time is up. But it will be a very long time. I will make sure you suffer." her voice grows dark.

"Octavia!" he screeches. Octavia teleported him through a portal to an unknown forest, not knowing it was near where the fairies lived. She left him there defenseless.

After that, she made a meeting with the mayor, and added new rules to the rules that Earth Genies must follow. "Now that we have this up, what would you like to add on here?" the mayor asks. Octavia's voice breaks, "These two rules will have a special consequence should it happen. My first new rule....a Genie must never ever fall for a mortal or have any type of romantic contact with them; and my second rule, a Genie must never speak of their homeland to a mortal." her voice goes dark as tears fell from her eyes. "Alright then. Is there anything else?" "That's all. Now, I must go, and make sure that this never ever happens again"

After the visit, Octavia returns home, and says stuff aloud and her pen wrote away again. But this time in a new journal 

"The Reed contains all of my powers as the reed is a part of me. That human knows this world and is considered dangerous, he's harmless for now but many years later he will be powerful. He will search for me and my power. The fairies are already upset that there is a Souhaitian that is more powerful than their own leader. So, when the time comes, the Reed will be an emergency instrument. When used, it will make a sound where only Earth Genies can hear it, even those in slumber will wake up and come to aid of the one who blows it. The Reed will be broken into pieces and scattered to unreachable places. The only one who will be able to make it to such places is the one who has my capability. My powers will be passed down to them. However, because I will be leaving with heartbreak, once I seal myself in the Reed, the Reed itself will capture my negative feelings of heartbreak, betrayal and mistrust and bind it together and curse itself. There is a way to lift it but even I do not know how to break the curse and will not be able to as I am sealed, but the one with my powers will be able to break it. Whatever counters heartbreak should be able to break the curse of the Reed and stop William of whoever or whatever he will be in the future. I will be free and William will be defeated. I unfortunately do not know the name, I know the ingredients but not what the dish is. Pity. If you are reading this letter, this is from Octavia herself, and you are the chosen one. End."

 The pen stops writing. All was written on a piece of paper. She makes fluid motions with her hands and arms and the paper turns into a carpet. "You will find your way to them. Don't worry. Now go. Leave." she says, the carpet rolls up and flies out of the window. All of her books fly off of the shelf, "Go to the magical lake in the Meradium, only show yourself to the chosen one. No one else will be able to open you." the books hurriedly leave and fly out of the window. Finally, she makes the flame from a nearby candle grow bigger and bigger, "Burn every single thing in here." she says as she glows, holding the Reed. She suddenly disappears, the Reed shatters into three pieces and were never seen again. All there was left was ruins.

"And no one knew, everyone assumed that I became the wind or the air. There's no way for me to die in a fire when I could protect myself and even stop the fire. The pirates were part of a vision I got from a dream, which eventually became the future........" Octavia trails off

 "Wait, so you were the first Souhaitian to visit the Earth, the first Genie and your own master fell in love with you? And...William is the captain of the pirates that invaded hour homeland!?" you ask surprised.

 "That doesn't make any sense, aren't Genies supposed to be immortal?" Chat asks, Octavia looks at him in the eye, "How do you know that?" you become uncomfortable, "The only way he knows is if you told him!" 

"It was an accident! He won't do anything here! He's a really good person! He really is!" you assure. 

"That's what I thought about my former master but look what happened!" she growls. 

"You should've been punished" she looks away from you.

 "I was about to, but this is happening and stuff" you chuckle nervously. "I should've never brought him here, if I never did that in the first place our homeland wouldn't be covered in darkness, and both worlds wouldn't be at risk! I just....I just thought that we could live a happy life together....I would find some way to make him immortal or live a longer life span than that of a normal human. He made me so happy, he...I don't know what it is but, I wanted to be with him forever.......but he lets the first speck of gold bring greed to his eyes. I should have known that the human mind can only take so much, it's all my fault....." 

"Octavia, I know that I'm a human myself but it is not your fault that man got greedy and let it possess him! I visited here a few times with y/n and never wanted anything from her homeland! Because just her is enough for me, I could have wished for gold or whatever, but I'm fine as long as she's here. Because she makes me happy and I love her!" Chat explains. You blush, 'Chat' 

"Ha, you're all alike. It would be devastating if this were to repeat again especially when you have magical powers yourself...." she smiles to herself as the lightning cracked across the cloudy sky. "Why were you so panicked about the Reed, Octavia?" you ask. " The thing is, when William managed to even touch the Reed he was affected by it. There is a reason he is still alive hundreds of years later. So, y/n, when you recovered the Reed and pieced it back together, William now knows that the Reed is back together, I am back and that there is a genie who recovered the Reed as well."

 "....Wait that means that you could defeat William with just your powers! We wouldn't need all of the Earth Genies to help us!" you say hopefully. "I'm not able to. For one I am not whole, it has been a very long time since I even walked, I don't have all of my powers as it's in the Reed. My knowledge of my powers, however is stored somewhere else. But still in the end, you are the chosen one. Only you know how to break the curse."

 "....But there's no way I could do it!" you say. "Do you see those marks on your arms?" she asks you. You look at the marks, now glowing due to being in the dark. 

Octavia rolls up the sleeve on her arms, both of you have the same exact marks! "Those are my marks, that means as I have said before, you are the chosen one. You have the ability to have my skills and perhaps become as powerful as me if not more."

 "There was an outage of magic at one point and I-"

 "An outage of-? What have these Souhaitians been doing?! Completely forgottten what I taught. Maybe it has been washed out over time. But one thing is you never rely on a source of magic that everyone else uses, y/n. You use your inner power." Octavia says.

 "How would I do that?" you ask. "Before you use the Reed, we must get to the Meradium. We must hurry now." "But Chat needs a rest. Can't we wait a little bit before we set off?!" "...Fine." "Plus, we're not able to go anywhere because p/n is hurt!" Chat says. 

"Who?" Octavia asks.

 "P/n." you say, as the furry dog rests in your lap. "A...dog?" she looks at it.

"No, it's my carpet! But When Chat and I recovered the last Reed piece, we crash landed in this rainforest and p/n hurt itself! There isn't a carpet repair no where near here, the nearest is still a long trip away...." you trail off. P/n turns into a carpet, you show the genie the tear. Her eyes widen, "That's...that's the carpet!!" "The carpet you mentioned?" 

"Yes!" "Wow.... I'd never think this would be your carpet!" you sigh in awe. "Can you fix it?" you ask. "You're able to fix it. Find something to fix it with!" "You said that this carpet was a paper before.... hmmm....P/n, show me your true form!" you say. Chat looks as the carpet levitates, and shrinks and morphs into two pieces of paper, it was once a whole piece but ripped in half. They fell into your hands. You hold the two pieces together and read the note. 

Exactly like Octavia said in her story. Octavia, you thought, you have been through so much. You was so excited to see a world beyond yours... you feel your eyes water. I can feel your pain, you was in pain when you wrote this letter. You just want it to stop, you loved someone and they let greed possess them. Just like Adrien's dad who was controlled by power. You was so focused on your studies that you never thought of taking time of just simply appreciating things instead of simply studying them. 

'Whatever counters heartbreak should be able to break the curse of the Reed and stop William of whoever or whatever he will be in the future. I will be free and William will be defeated.' you don't want to defeat William, you want to give him a second chance, because you still love him, do you? 

You hug the papers close to you and feel tears drop from your face, "Y/n??" Chat hugs you. ....This warmth, the very same warmth, she probably never had a hug before from anyone because she built a wall around herself and William was the first one to give her attention, who was genuinely interested in her. What will break this curse? It has to be what binds this paper back together, is it emotion? Suddenly the paper began getting wet from your tears. It glown a soft white and the papers floated away from you and became one. It morphed into a carpet. "Y/n your carpet! It's fixed!" Chat hands it over to you, the carpet was f/c and had gold/silver designs in it. "Whatever you felt, that fixed this carpet, is what will stop this chaos." 

"But how do we find out? It's like a riddle!" Chat says, you both look at each other, "The Meradium, silly, you go to sleep, we'll visit tomorrow!" you laugh a little. 

"Octavia, are you going to sleep?" you softly ask. She crosses her arms, "I don't sleep" she says. "Okay then" you softly chuckle. Then  a few minutes later you catch Octavia sleeping silently to herself.
