Hi All!

WOW! We've reached the end of "Star Chaser"! And per usual, I am shocked to be here.

None of this would have happened without all of your theories, hilarious comments, your encouragement, and demands for MORE MORE MORE! Seriously, you all keep me writing just so I can see more of your reactions!

A special shout out to Wattpad for creating such an amazing platform that allows writers to express themselves to such a large audience around the world. I used to fill notebooks with stories that no one ever saw, and now I get to be here, sharing this book with all of you. It's incredible!

Alina's story was written a few years ago, as I was playing around with a few sci-fi ideas, while stuck at home in between jobs. I wanted to showcase a story about a girl who is strong, brave and doesn't take any crap, but is terrified of love because of how it changed her father. The story started from two questions... "If you had to choose between love and everyone else's lives, which would you choose?" and "Is love worth it even when it makes you vulnerable?"

This story is for those who choose to live in the current, instead of allowing themselves to dream of more because of the cost that wanting can bring. It's for those that forget to let the good things of the world play a part in their lives. I wanted to showcase what that is like, and how a little dreaming doesn't have to destroy your current life, but instead can add a spark of joy to it.

You may think of Alina and Orion's story as a sad one. An unfair one that leaves you wanting to either scream at me or cry over a bowl of ice cream. (A clear visual of all of us below)

And I know you have come to love Alina, Orion, Ashley— and of course, Alina's dad, as much as I have. I am so touched that you have stuck with it to the very end, even when it was hard to read.
