~~Christmas special! :D~~

A few days before Christmas;

"You guys are all leaving, again?" Ren complained. Shadow nodded and dragged Flame off before Ren could continue. Rocky waved and followed after them. "Jerks!" Ren whined. She closed the door to her room and went searching for food. 

Within a few minutes, the door handle began to jiggle. Ren's eyes widened. The first thing she went for was her sword. She hid behind the door as it opened.

"Ren I'm-" Shadow froze when the sword swung in front of her neck. She looked to where Ren was peeking out. "Really?" Shadow's eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"I didn't know it was you!" Ren defended and lowered her sword. She quickly placed it away. "Why are you back?" Ren's head tilted sideways.

"Have you not looked outside?" Shadow asked with a quiet scoff.

"What do you mean?" Ren asked and wandered to the window. Her eyes lit up when she saw the falling snow. "It's snowing!!!" She bounced over to Shadow. "Can we go outside?! Let's go! Let's go!" Misty was up and bouncing around like Ren. Shadow pushed her back while chuckling.

"It's amazing how such a powerful demon is such a child." Shadow contemplated and dropped her bag down. "Go get in snow stuff." She nodded. Ren paused and gave her a blank look.

"There are clothes for snow?" Ren asked in surprise. Shadow gave her a confused and surprised look.

"What do you mean?! Have you never worn snow clothes?!" Shadow gasped in horror. Ren's head shook. Shadow's eye twitched in terror. "You can use mine..." She offered awkwardly.

"Is it a requirement?" Ren asked curiously.*

"Yes...?" Shadow hesitated.

"Okay," Ren nodded and jumped up to her feet excitedly. Shadow searched through her stuff quickly and fond some decent clothes for the snow. Ren only wore the jacket and pants. Shadow was fairly dressed up. Misty bounced around excitedly while Ren tried to force her sweater on, it wasn't working. They went outside quickly. 

Rocky and Flame were already throwing snowballs. Ren got hit in the face with one as soon as she walked out. She blinked in confusion. Max was laughing at her, he was a part of the group too. Ren smirked at them, her tail swayed teasingly as she ran out to attack the others. Shadow laughed and followed her out. Misty was running around curiously, this was her first contact with the snow. Snowballs were flying in every direction quickly. Shadow and Flame were a team, of course. Rocky and Max were also a team. Ren had Misty as a partner, though, she wasn't a very good one.

The war went on for quite a while, until Flame, Shadow, Rocky, and Misty got too cold. Max faked being cold, which earned suspicious looks from both Rocky and Flame.

"Let's get some cocoa!" Ren cheered excitedly.

"I want some!" Misty agreed while jumping onto her shoulder.

"I'm afraid wolves don't get chocolate." Ren laughed and pet her chin. Misty pouted and started complaining into en's ear. Ren sighed, "no, Misty." She groaned as they walked. The sun was setting at this time. It looked quite beautiful actually, eve for just a ton of pixels. 

At a bridge they were crossing, Ren had been walking on the hand rail. She had paused to stare at the sunset. The lights were reflecting off the snow beautifully and it was distracting Ren greatly. Shadow accidentally bumped her while walking, which knock Ren and Misty both off. Ren's tail instinctively extended. Ren's arms did as well as she caught Misty, her hat, and sword Flame caught her tail, causing her to gasp out in pain. She was curled in a ball while holding everything close to her just. Below was an iced over river.

"You're gonna hurt her!" Rocky panicked while leaning towards Ren. Shadow rushed over to the ledge.

"Ren!" She yelled down. "Give us your leg or something!" She ordered. Misty quickly jumped up onto the ledge, she had a tight grip on Ren's hat and sword as she waited for her master. Ren's legs slowly extended towards them. Flame's solution was really freaking hurting. Max and Shadow grabbed her left leg while Rocky grabbed her right leg.Flame released the pressure of her tail, causing Ren to fully hang down and her sweatshirt to fall up. This revealed her torso and caused the three boys' faces turn red and not from the cold.

"Will you guys hurry up? I think I'm slipping." Ren yelled to them. Her tail slowly wrapped around Flame's wrist as they pulled her up carefully. When she was safely seated in the snow she exhaled heavily.

"That's why you don't walk on handrails!" Shadow groaned.

"You're the one who shoved me," Ren complained while crossing her arms. Misty curled up in her lap quickly. She was shaking nervously. Ren frowned and gently pet her. "You're okay," she assured worriedly. Shadow sighed quietly and helped Ren up. The boys each seemed to be glaring at each other. Shadow and Ren shrugged to each other and continued on so they could get cocoa and warm up Misty. 

Christmas Eve;

"Well, Misty, I have your present." Ren grinned to her tiny fluffed companion. Flame's, Shadow's, Rocky's, Mr. King's, and even Max's (though, she wasn't sure why she felt required to make him a gift) gifts were sitting on Ren's desk by the mini tree. 

"I didn't get you anything!" Misty whined back, she sat up quickly. Ren chuckled and grinned.

"I don't need a gift." She assured, though, she did kind of want one. "I just hope you like this one." She sighed, "it sucks that everyone left, again." Misty flopped down and laid on her back lazily. Ren chuckled and put Misty's present by the mini-tree on Ren's desk. Ren couldn't sleep for a long while throughout the night, though, somehow she did.

Christmas Day;

Misty was licking Ren awake quickly. Ren grumbled and rolled over.

"Lazy as always," Shadow complained. "And on Christmas Day, I expected more from you, Ren." She joked. "I even brought your gift." She continued to complain. Ren flipped over to look at her in surprise. Shadow was staring at her,

"I thought you guys were spending Christmas at your own houses?" Ren frowned slightly and sat up. Misty was pawing at her present. "Not yet Misty." Ren chuckled then returned to staring at the others curiously. She was hugging her large and warm comforter.

"We are, you're coming too!" Shadow grinned widely. She motioned to the door that had a opened portal (wow guys, finally) a woman, Flame, Mr. King, and Rocky seemed to be waiting nervously. Ren gave Shadow a confused look. "Come on, Ren. It's Christmas. You can't expect us to leave you alone." She laughed.

"I'm just surprised you used a portal." Ren joked, causing Shadow to pause and give her a really annoyed look. Ren grinned widely in response. "Do I get to stay in my PJs?" Ren asked while tilting her head. Shadow smiled and nodded. "Deal!" Ren's grin somehow grew and she went to get the presents.

"You got presents?" Shadow asked in surprise. Re nodded back. Misty huffed when Ren took her present away.

"I said not yet!" Ren laughed back and carried the presents through the portal. Misty quickly followed and so did Shadow.

"Hey, Ren!" Flame waved with a smile. Ren shyly waved back. The presence of the uncomfortable woman made her uncomfortable for some reason. 

"Merry Christmas." Ren grinned as she sat down with the small stack of presents. Everyone was sitting on the floor.

"Who are those presents for?" Rocky asked excitedly. Shadow smacked him on the back of the head, earning his glare. She simply smirked.

"They're all mine." Ren joked as she tossed each of them their gifts. The woman hesitantly watched. Ren frowned at her. "I'm sorry I didn't-"

"This is cool!" Rocky yelled out excitedly. Ren had made him a brown leather cuff for his wrist. He instantly put it on. Mr. King chuckled and looked at his gift curiously. Ren had made him a coffee cup holder.

"Well, this is new!" Mr. King beamed excitedly. Ren smiled hesitantly, is he being sarcastic?

"Ren! I can't get it open!" Misty complained while gnawing at the wrapping paper. Ren face palmed and helped her open it. Misty got a new dog bowl that Ren had painted with different designs for her and inside of it was a bunch of treats Ren had made. "Wow!" Misty bounced around. The woman seemed even more hesitant as the gifts continued to be opened. Shadow ended up getting a black belt with spikes, gun holsters and covers for the holster. That took Ren the longest to make. 

"Perfect." Shadow grinned evilly. Ren smiled slightly. Flame was the last to open his gift, he looked confused at first.

"It's a cover for the handle," Ren explained with a tiny shrug.

"Sweet!" Flame grinned at Ren, who smiled back. The rest of their gifts were opened, Ren watched curiously as to what they got. She wouldn't admit it, but she was pretty jealous that they got stuff.

"Who was that extra present for in our room-" Shadow began to ask. Flame hit her on the back of the head. Shadow glared at him and held the back of her head.

"Kids!" Their mother yelled angrily. Ren laughed at Shadow and fell backward. Shadow pouted. Ren grinned and quickly sat up.

"It's for Max," Ren informed with an evil grin. Shadow nodded in response. Misty sniffed the air.

"Is something burning?" Misty barked, Ren gave her a confused look but repeated the question.

"The cookies!" Flame and Shadow's mom yelled out in horror and ran off to the question. Flame and Shadow shrugged to each other. Ren gave them a worried smile.

"It'll be fine in a few minutes," Shadow assured with a laugh. Rocky dropped a few boxes in front of Ren. Ren jumped back in surprise. Mr. King laughed at her.

"You're so jumpy!" He chuckled. Ren rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly and smiled awkwardly. "Sit down and open your presents!" He ordered.

"You guys didn't-"

"Now!" They all ordered in unison. Ren grinned excitedly and tore into the first small box. Inside was a dry erase board thing.

"So you actually remember what to do." Shadow chuckled. Ren gave her a sly smirk. They both started laughing at their inside joke. Everyone else was pretty confused.

"Open mine next!" Rocky cheered and shoved it in Ren's face. She grabbed it from him and opened it excitedly. Another wrapped box fell out. Ren gave Rocky an annoyed look, he just grinned. Ren continued to open multiple boxes until she finally opened a box with a necklace inside. Her head tilted to the side curiously until she realized it was a mini wolf on the chain. She grinned excitedly and quickly put it on. Rocky grinned at her. "Forgive me for the box thing?" He joked.

"Hmm..." Ren contemplated. "I dunno..." Rocky pouted, but Ren grinned at him. Ren opened the other gifts, Flame had given her a mason jar with chocolate in it, so did Shadow, and Mr. King only gave her money. It wasn't too bad, especially because of food.

The rest of the day was rather slow and boring, the friends and families ate dinner together, but after that Ren just went home like a loner with Misty following.

"That was fun," Ren yawned lazily. Misty laid down and wagged her tail in agreement. Ren chuckled and pet her head. "What an uneventful chapter." She nodded while breaking the fourth wall. "Hmm? Max's gift is gone? That's creepy." She commented and frowned slightly. "Eh, whatever." She then looked at the nonexistent camera and smiled. "Happy holidays, reader! Hope you had a pretty decent year! See you in the next real chapter!" She waved draatically and with that, the chapter was over and the writer ran out of ideas.
