WHEN YOU READ FICS, you want to get into the story. you want to feel like you're almost there. you want to be able to picture the street corner, the school hallway.

it sucks when you read a fic and you can barely get into the story because you can't quite connect the story to the location.

DESCRIBE YOUR SURROUNDINGS! i guarantee it will help your readers picture and envision the location. it's just a way nicer experience when you can connect the location to the scene.
