Ezra's POV:

Maul separated me and Sabine right after I talked to Kanan through the force. He put me in a room on the other side of the ship. It was cold... And shivers went down to my spine when Maul entered.

"Enjoying the darkness, street rat?"

"Not really. This room could use some light. Is that the reason why you put me here? To light up the room."

I smirked after I said that, but my smile faded really quick.

"No. Not really. I want to let you get used to the dark, because that..."

He came closer and lowered himself to my level.

"... will be part of your training."

"Training?"

He stood back up and walked towards the door with his hands behind his back.

"Don't you know? I'll tell you, boy. Did Master Jarrus train you to become a Jedi?"

"Y-yes."

"Did he told you about the Dark Side?"

"Yes he did and don't even try to ask me to join the Dark Side. My answer is no."

"Okay. Tell me, how does it feel to kill your aunt?"

My eyes widened when he spoke.

"I did not ki-"

"You did, boy. It's your fault that Tano is dead. It's your fault that Offee is dead. That was her name right? Barriss Offee? Why does everyone you know get into trouble? It seems like you are cursed or something!"

I looked at the ground...

He is right...

"I can help you, Ezra. I can show you a side of the force that your master could never show you. It will make you powerful, fearless and... you will be able to protect the ones you love..."

I stayed quiet... I listened to Barriss and Maul.

"Ezra... don't do it! Do not believe him..."

"You will be the person you always wanted to be. You can give your parents a reason to be proud! Because... they are watching over you. Do you want them to see that you became a monster?"

I realized what he was offering me... and I could not say no...

"What do I have to do..."

"You only have to put your faith in me. You would not regret it, apprentice."
