"W-what did you say?"

"I said I want to hang out with you."

Aichi was in shock as Kai said that he wanted to hang out him. 'K-kai wants to hang out with me?!'

"D-does this mean y-you now recognise me as your friend?"

Kai sighed. "Whatever." He started walking towards the door of Card Capital. "Are you coming with me or not?"

"Y-yes!"

Kai sighed once again as he walked out of Card Capital. 'Why am i doing this again?' he questioned himself as he thought back to the conversation with Miwa.

"C'mon Kai! It could be fun!" Miwa said.

"Whatever."

"Plus, Aichi really looks up to you a lot. You should at least give him a chance. What if he becomes evil again like last time?! You should at least maybe hang out with him for a day to show that you got his back."

"Fine..."

Kai sighed once again. "U-umm...Kai?" Kai turned to Aichi who was beside him. "A-are you okay? Y-you've been sighing for three times already."

Kai stared at Aichi for a while. Aichi shifted uncomfortable under him. "I'm fine."

"U-umm...S-s-so uhhh...W-where d-do you want to go?"

"Anywhere's fine."

"T-then do you want to go to the park?"

"Sure."

The both of them walked towards the park. When they reached there, they started taking a stroll through the park. There was light breeze which blew at their hair. Both were silent as they were walking, having different thoughts.

'C'mon Aichi! Think! What to say! What to say! C'mon think!'

'...I wanna sleep...'

"U-umm..."

Both turned in the direction of a new voice coming behind them. Behind them, they saw a girl who was probably in high school, like them.

"Are you guys Aichi Sendou and Toshiki Kai?"

Both nodded as the girl's eyes lit up with stars. "No way! You guys are the ones my bigger brother keeps telling me about!"

Aichi scratched the back of his head as he laughed awkwardly. Kai looked at Aichi.

"By the way, do you think you can teach me how to play Vanguard?"

"Sure!" Aichi agreed as they both walked towards a bench in the park. Kai followed closely behind them, keeping silent.

"So, how do you know about Vanguard?" Aichi asked the girl, curious.

"I really like to draw. One day, I sneaked into my brother's room and saw a deck of cards on his table. I thought the pictures were cute and cool so I took them and returned to my room to draw them. Later, my bro introduced me to Vanguard. But he was too busy to teach me how to play."

"You and your brother must be very close." 

"We are!"

"So what deck do you want to use?" Aichi asked as he started taking his deck out and placing them on the bench. "Narukami. Just like my bro."

As Kai watched them silently, he started thinking back to when he first met Aichi.

"You look beaten up. Did you get into a fight?"

"..."

"Actually, you don't look like the kind of person who gets into fights. Were you bullied?"

"..."

"C'mon, follow me!"

"You gained a Draw Trigger! It allows you to gain an additional 5000 power, and you also get to draw a card!"

Kai suddenly thought back to when he introduced Aichi to Vanguard. 

"This is Blaster Blade. Now, imagine yourself being as strong and powerful as him!"

"Thanks a lot!"

Kai was snapped out of his thoughts as the girl thanked Aichi for teaching her Vanguard.

"By the way..." She looked at Aichi, then at Kai. "Are you two a couple?"

Aichi blushed really hard after hearing that. "W-w-w-what?!?! O-of c-course not!!"

She smirked at both of them. "If you say so. By the way, names Ann! See you again soon!" she said as she ran off.

Kai turned to look at Aichi as his face was still red from earlier. "You okay?" he asked. Aichi replied with "I-I'm okay."

Aichi started walking along the path in the park again, completely oblivious to the fact that Kai was blushing a bit as well. It didn't show on his face, but his ears were red from embarrassment.

For the rest of the day, the two of them walked around the park while talking to each other. They even had a fight, in which Aichi won. Without them noticing, it had already turned night.

As they were on their way back to the entrance of the park, Kai had mixed thoughts. 'I guess hanging out with Aichi isn't as bad as I thought.' he thought as he suddenly smirked to himself.

"Hey Kai?" Aichi asked as Kai turned to him.

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad I met you."

Kai gave him a rare smile.

"Me too."
