Chapter dedicated to my friend Naba, who is like a little sister to me.

Louis's POV:

After completing our last project, me and Laura were listening to music and eating popcorns.

"Laura? Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."

"How do you live alone? I mean you are not an adult...."

"Well, I am. I am 18 years old. I know I'm supposed to be 16, as I'm studying in 11th grade...... But I had to lose 2 years when I... Umm...."

"Hey, it's fine....actually, I'm 18 too."

I could feel her surprised gaze on me.
"Really?"

"Yeah..... I lost my eyes, in an accident when I was 6. After that, I had to learn everything in a new way, without eyes. Walking, reading with brail book....." I sighed.

She reached out and squeezed my hand.
"You know, sometimes in life, it feels like everything stopped. But it doesn’t.  We only wish it does....."

"Yeah, but we have to keep running. Stumbling a lot, but still running...."

Both of us suddenly went quiet, a comfortable silence surrounding us,  our breathing being the only sound in the deafening silence.

"Students!" Our headmaster announced after our morning assembly, "The Earth day is in two weeks. A one-day fest is going to be held in our school for the earth day." He paused a bit before starting again.

"You can participate in quiz, art competitions, story writing and  debates on that day. Students from other schools are also going to come here for participating."

"Also," Our class teacher announced, "Making posters and banners is mandatory for the 11th grade students. You'll be projected and have to finish it in a week. The best one will be given a prize."

Mr.Willson started calling out the project partners. They were chosen alphabetically.

Lily Brown and Liam Payne.
Louis Tomlinson and Laura Stone.

A few months ago, when I was partnered with her, I couldn’t be angrier. But this time, I thanked my luck.

"Ma'am, what about me?" A feminine voice startled me from my thoughts.

"Oh, you are the new student. Students, meet your new friend, Zoe Sniggder. And Zoe, you can join Louis and Laura in the project."

I mentally sighed. He only added the new girl in our group because he thought our group was the 'most vulnerable one'.

We're, after all, the blind and the psycho.....as they say......

I didn’t show any emotions as I smiled and nodded. But deep down, I had a strange urge to win the poster contest.....

After the first class, the new girl came to meet us.

"Are you guys Louis Tomlinson and Laura Stone?"
"Yes, we are." I replied.

"Cool, I'm Zoe, Zoe Sniggder."
"Nice to meet you Zoe." I smiled at her.
"Nice to meet you too, handsome." She said.

I could feel Laura shifting awkwardly  beside me.
"We can work at mine, if you guys want?" Zoe asked.

"No, today, my house at 4 pm. Give me your number, I'll text you the address." Laura said, in such a cold tone which can make shivers ran through your spine.

After exchanging numbers, Laura sprinted out of the room, without saying a word.

What was up with her, all of a sudden?
