Third Person's P.O.V

   Empire Day. The day that a certain padawan hates. Why you may ask? It was also his birthday. On Ezra's seventh birthday, his home was torn and his parents were taken. The small family felt whole when they were together and at peace even with the Empire reigning on their parade. His parents were like his guardian angels until that fateful day.

   That day they were taken from him by the Empire. Then everything fell apart and the seven year old was soon forgotten by Lothal. Ezra was alone for eight years on the streets. No friends, family....nothing at all. Or at least that's what he thought. What he didn't know was that his parents were alive and hoping that he was ok.

   Soon, Ezra met the crew and learned more about him. On the fateful day, Empire Day the crew learns that it was also Ezra's birthday. They find an old friend of Ezra's parents named Tseebo in a hidden basement used to send out transmissions to give hope for a brighter future.

   After smuggling Tseebo off Lothal, Hera was told about Ezra's parents being locked in a prison. Hera tells Ezra about what Tseebo told her. Later, Kanan and Ezra go back to Lothal to meet one of the prisoners that escaped the prison that held his parents. His name was Ryder Azabi, the governor of Lothal who supported the Bridger's transmissions.

   "So you know what happened to them?" Ezra asked hopeful of some sort of good news. Ryder sighed in sadness saying, "Yes, I do." It didn't take Ezra long to figure out what the old governor was trying to say. "There dead, aren't they," Ezra said sadly. Everything went silent. "You know, they used to say, "If we don't stand up, who will?" Then he breaks down into tears and hugs Kanan tightly.

   Ezra's world was torn into pieces after the news. He thought that he was all alone again because his parents were gone. Yet, there were still people that cared about him and he didn't know it until something amazing happened.

   Ezra's parents stood next to him looking over a rail at a new city that could be. He felt safe and secure as his parents talked to him. "I miss you guys so much," Ezra said. "We miss you too," Mira replied, "But don't worry, we'll be with you always."

   "But, you aren't here," Ezra said gazing at the city. "We will always be here and there are people that care," Ephraim said. "What do you mean?" Ezra asked. "You will know soon, my son," Mira said and soon everything faded. Ezra was back on the ledge with the two blue moons instead of the city.

   Ezra couldn't believe it. Did he just talk with his parents or was it just a dream? He couldn't figure out what they meant by 'other people that care.' Then he glanced up to see Kanan and wondered if his parents was talking about the crew.

   "How are you doing?" Kanan asked his padawan. "Better," Ezra admitted then said, "My parents were Kanan. They were just talking with me."

"Sometimes the force can to that kind of stuff," Kanan said. "Do you think I'll ever see them again?" Ezra asked. "I'm sure you will, only time will tell. Just be patient," Kanan said making Ezra smile not feeling lonely anymore.

   A couple years later, the tables turned for the crew. Yet, it affected the Jedi and padawan even more when they returned from a Sith temple. Ezra had been more quiet lately which scared the crew. Kanan was never around that much after he was blinded.

   Ezra felt that he was to blame for what happened to Kanan and his other friend Ahsoka. They thought Ahsoka didn't make it.

The crew has tried to help Ezra but it seemed like Ezra was avoiding them. Hera has tried many times to get Kanan to talk with Ezra but found a way to get out of it.

   So, one night when Ezra was locked in his room by himself, two people appeared. Ezra looked up cause he was sitting on the floor and the Sith holocron was right in front of him.

   The two people smiled at him. "Hello, Ezra," Mira said then asked sadly, "What are you doing?"

   "Mom? Dad?" Was all Ezra could say standing up and hugged them. They pulled away after a while and Ezra's father said, "We are worried about you."

   "Y-You are?" Ezra said surprised. His parents nodded. "Yes, why are you doing this?" Mira asked her son. "To protect everyone so no one gets hurt again," Ezra explained. "But you are hurting people even if you don't realize it," Ephraim said. "Who am I hurting?" Ezra asked worried.

   "The crew," His mom said softly, "They have been worried sick about you, you know."

   "They have?" Ezra said guilty and his parents nodded. "It's time for you to go to them," his father said and Ezra nodded. "Thank you," he said and his parents hugged him one last time before disappearing.

   Ezra had came out of the room to meet and apologize to the crew. They all smiled again and Ezra didn't feel cold or alone but there was still on more person he had to talk to. Kanan.

   Yet, he and Kanan got into an argument when Kanan noticed that Ezra had the Sith holocron. Ezra didn't listen so Kanan took the dangerous artifact away. As he was leaving, Ezra said something the hurt Kanan. "I don't need you."

   Later, Ezra left for a mission with his team and things turned. The station that they were on wasn't on land but floating. The team blew up some of the station making it fall through a storm and the only one on it was Ezra, who was hanging on for dear life. Joy filled Ezra when he saw the Ghost fly up to him and his master was revealed at the door.

   "Jump!" Kanan yelled. "Are you crazy?!" Ezra yelled back. "Jump! Trust me!" Kanan said and Ezra thought about it before letting go. He was soon pulled into the Ghost and safe again.

   A couple days later, Maul holds some of the crew captive and asked the two Jedi to get him the Skth holocron.

Kanan and Ezra utterly agreed and went to where Kanan hide the artifact. In the cave with giant spiders. Ezra at first went in alone then got himself into trouble with the spiders. Kanan went into the cave and helped Ezra out. They walked into a part of the cave and Ezra apologized for not being able to protect Kanan.

"It wasn't your fault. I never blamed you, now you just have to not blame yourself anymore," Kanan said making Ezra smile. "Yes, master," Ezra said giving Kanan a hug. Kanan hugged back saying, "You don't ever have to worry about me leaving again cause...
