Steve began driving as Dustin gave us the directions to his homemade radio tower. "Jesus, how far is this place?!" Steve exclaimed. "Relax, we're almost there" Dustin said. "Suzie must be pretty special, huh? I mean, if you built this thing and lugged it all the way to the middle of nowhere just to talk to her" Robin said.

"I mean nobody's scientifically perfect but Suzie's about as close to being perfect as any human could possibly be" he said. "She sounds made up to me. Does she sound made up to you?" Erica questioned.

Steve and i both looked at each other as we stayed quiet. "Why are you hesitating?" Dustin asked us angrily. "I'm... I'm not! I think she sounds real. You know, totally, absolutely real" Steve said.

"Yeah... Definitely" i mumbled. Everyone went quiet. "Left. Turn left!" Dustin said. "There's not a road here" Steve said. "Turn left now!" Dustin shouted. "Jesus! Hang on!" Steve called out as he drove through a fence. He put his arm out in front of me as we crashed through.

"Did you seriously just mom me right now?" i questioned. He shook his head in annoyance as we drove speedily up the hill.

"Woah! Henderson, where the hell are you taking us!?" i questioned. "Just keep going up!" Dustin exclaimed. The car began slowing down the higher we got. "We're not gonna make it!" Robin shouted. "Come on baby! Come on!" Steve shouted.

The car engine began straining until it fully stopped. "Guess the Toddfather has its limitations" i said as Steve sighed. We all hopped out of the car and began running up the rest of the way.

Once we finally reached the radio tower, we got in contact with Hopper, Joyce and Murray. "Bald Eagle do you copy, i repeat this is Scoops Troop do you copy?" Dustin said through the walkie-talkie.

"This is Bald Eagle, i copy" Murray answered in an irritated tone. "Good to hear you voice, Bald Eagle. What's you 20?" Dustin asked. "We reached the vent. I'll contact you when i need you. Until then, silence" he said.

"Copy that. This is Scoop Troops going radio silence. 10-10 over" he said. Steve gave Dustin a proud pat on the back as i gave him a thumbs up.

"This might actually work" i said. "Yeah well... We will have to wait and see" Robin replied. We all sat around as Erica and Dustin gave Murray the directions through the vents.

I stood up and began looking at the mall. It looked so peaceful and normal from up here. No one would ever suspect what's actually going on inside. Steve stood next to me as he looked around at the view.

"Hawkins is actually pretty nice from up here. I've never seen it from up here before" he said. "Yeah, i guess you right" i said. "Hey, by the way, i'm sorry for total momming you back there. I just didn't want you nervous in the car or anything because of... You know" he said.

I rolled my eyes and tried to hide my smirk. "It's fine. It was funny... But thanks for thinking about it. Not many people would." Steve smiled as he looked behind at the others. They were all too distracted to even take a glance at us.

"You know, i know it's the end of the world and all but, i really want to kiss you" he said. I took a shakey breath in and out. "Smooth Harrington. Real smooth" i said.

He tucked a piece of hair back behind my ear as he leaned in towards me. As he did, he suddenly froze as he looked behind me. "What?" i questioned. He pointed as i turned around.

My mouth slightly fell open as i saw the Mind Flayer climbing on the roof of the mall. "Hey... Hey guys!" i called out. They all ran over. Everyone was stood still in shock.

I pushed them all around as we ran back to the Radio tower. "Grizwald family, this is Scoops Troop! Do you copy? Over!" Dustin exclaimed. There was silence.

"I repeat! Grizwald family, this is Scoops Troop! Do you copy? Over!" Dustin shouted. Suddenly, a loud growl could be heard through the walkie- talkie.

Dustin continued shouting as i backed away. I began breathing quicker and quicker. Without second thought, i tried grab the keys from Steve's grasp. "Hey! Joy! What are you doing?!" Steve questioned.

"I'm going to get my sister! Stay here and take care of the rest of them!" i shouted as i tried to grab them again. "What? No! Are you kidding? You can't even drive?!" Steve exclaimed pulling away from me.

"No Steve! You drive too slow. I am going to get my sister and the others. I don't care if you come or stay but i'm leaving now!" i shouted. "Joy, i really don't-" "Steve!" i shouted as he through me the keys in fear.

"Steve! Keep in touch!" Dustin said throwing Steve a walkie- talkie. I began running towards the car as Steve followed after me. Robin said she would stay back with Erica and Dustin just incase anything happened.

Steve and i jumped into the car as i quickly backed up. "Joy! Slow down! We'll make it in time!" he shouted. I ignored him as we swerved onto the road.

Half of my mind couldn't believe i was driving. Especially this fast. But the other half of my mind was thinking about El and how this creature is after her.

I pressed as hard as i could on the gas peddle as we sped onto the road. Steve was gripping onto his seat for dear life. I heard him scream and shout a few times, but i blocked him out.

Once we arrived at the mall, i saw all the kids and Johnathan in Nancy's car. My eyes then drifted to the car that was opposite them. It took me a second but then i realised who's car it was.

It was Billy Hargroves. I remember seeing it in the school car park when i was with Jake. Nancy began shooting at him as he began driving straight into them. I drove as fast as i could into Billy's car. Before we hit him, Steve and i both closed our eyes.

I felt the cars collide. When there was silence, i slowly opened my eyes, fearing what i was about to see. I opened them fully to see Billy passed out, whilst Nancy and the group were left untouched. I sighed in relief as i looked at Steve.

He was panting heavily. He reached over and embraced me. "You did it, Hopper. You fucking did it" he mumbled as he kissed the top of my head.

I did fucking do it. I drove a car. And helped my friends. I fucking did it.

Steve and i stood up in the car to see the Mind Flayer growl ferociously on the mall roof. We hastily got out of the car as we ran over to the rest of the group. "Come on! Get in!" Lucas shouted as Steve and i jumped into the trunk of Nancy's car.

Nancy started the car and sped off as the Mind Flayer chased after us. As Nancy sped off, i looked around at everyone in the car. "Where's El?" i questioned. "She's still in the mall with Mike and Max" Will mumbled.

"What?! We have to go back! Now!" i exclaimed. "We can't Joy! The only thing we can do now is distract the Mind Flayer while Hopper and Joyce close the gate" Johnathan said.

I sighed as i reluctantly stayed put. We all sat in worried and anxious silence until we heard the walkie-talkie go off. Steve grabbed it as we began listening.

"Suzie Poo?" we heard Dustin say. "Dusty Bun!" another voice exclaimed. Steve and i both looked at each other in shock. "Suzie!" we both exclaimed.

The two began talking about some science shit none of us could understand. Plancks Constant or something? They continued arguing until we heard Dustin sigh. "Shit" he mumbled.

"Turn around. Look at what you see. In her face. The mirror of your dreams."

Everyone in the car gave each other a confused and shocked look. "Are they seriously singing the song from 'Never Ending Story' right now?" i whispered.

Lucas shrugged. Dustin and Suzie continued singing as we all waiting for them to finish. Even though they were only singing for around two minutes, it felt like five hours. Finally, they finished as Suzie gave Dustin the password.

As we continued driving, i looked out the window to see the Mind Flayer was turning back. "He's turning around!" Steve exclaimed. "What?!" Nancy questioned. "He's turning around!" he shouted.

"Maybe we tired him out" Lucas suggested. "I don't think so. Hold on" Johnathan said as he swiftly turned the car around. We followed the Mind flayer all the way back to the mall.

When we arrived at the mall, i saw Lucas carrying boxes out of the back seat and handing them to everyone. "What's this?" i asked. "They're fireworks. We can use them to distract him. I knew they would be useful" he said.

"Sinclair, if this works, i'll make Steve and Robin give you free ice cream for life" i said taking a box off of him. "You do realise you can't go around telling everyone i can give them free ice cream, right? I'll get fired!" he exclaimed. "And you do realise now is not the time, right?" i shouted.

We all ran inside and went to the top of the mall. I looked down from the rails to see the Mind Flayer right in front of El. She was lying on the floor as Billy was standing next to her.

We all grabbed a fire work from the boxes and began throwing them at the Mind Flayer. "Flay this you ugly piece of shit!" Lucas shouted.

We kept lighting them and throwing them and it worked. It actually worked. "Hey asshole! Over here!" Steve shouted. We threw more and more trying to buy time for Joyce and Hop to close the gate.

I looked down to see El trying to crawl away but Billy grabbed her and threw her back onto the ground. "We're almost out!" Lucas exclaimed.

I looked around and saw a broken pipe that must have broke off the car when El launched it. It was near El and Billy. If i could sneak down there and grab it, i could try and get El out of there.

"Steve! I'll be right back. Try and savour the fireworks!" i shouted as i tried to go down there. Steve grabbed me by my shoulder and turned me back to him.

"No. No, Jo. You can't help. Stay here. Don't try and be a hero, okay? Now is not the time!" Steve exclaimed. I grabbed Steve's face and gave him a small smile.

I pulled him in and kissed him deeply. I had never kissed anyone like this before. I wanted to kiss him as if this was the first and last time i would ever do it.

I pulled out of the kiss as Steve's mouth slightly fell open. "I'm sorry. But i'm not loosing another sister" i mumbled. "What?" Steve questioned.

I grabbed him by the shoulders and kneed him in the crotch. He fell to the ground in pain as i ran down the stairs.

When i got down there, Billy had his back turned to me. I tiptoed over to the metal pole and grabbed it. I gripped it tightly as i crept my way towards him.

Once i got inches away from him, i swung the pole directly at his back but before it made contact with him, he grabbed it. I tried to pull the pole back from his grasp but it was no use. He was too strong.

Billy grabbed the pole from me and threw it away. He then grabbed me by my neck and lifted me off the ground. I tried to push him away but i couldn't.

I felt all the air leave my body as his grasp became tighter and tighter. "Please" is all i could get out. He ignored me as he kept his grasp on me.

El was screaming at him to stop but it's like all he could see was me. Nothing else. He wanted to kill me. He had to kill me.

My eyes drifted from El to Steve. I saw him screaming something but i couldn't hear him over the sound of the fire works going off.

"Seven feet!" El shouted. I felt Billy's tight grasp go more limp. "You told her the wave was seven feet. You ran to her, on the beach. There were seagulls. She wore a hat with a blue ribbon, a long dress, with a blue and red flower and yellow sandals covered in sand."

I had no idea what Eleven was talking about but it was working. Billy's grip on me was loosening. "She was pretty. She was really pretty. And you... You were happy" she said.

Billy closed his eyes as a tear fell from his eye. He dropped me onto the floor as i gasped for air. I began coughing and panting. Eleven crawled towards me as Billy stood in front of her.

"Are you okay?!" she exclaimed with tears. I nodded as i was unable to talk. We both looked up as the fireworks were finally out. The Mind Flayer turned to El as a claw came out of his mouth and right at her. She hugged me tightly as we both closed our eyes.

Suddenly, Billy blocked the Mind Flayers claw with his hand. He grabbed it so it wouldn't hurt El. More of the Mind Flayers claws came out impaling Billy.

He let out one last scream as the Mind Flayers final claw impaled him right in the chest. I dragged Eleven away as she was unable to walk.

Once we were away from what was happening, we looked up to see the Mind Flayer fall to the ground. I let out a relieved sigh as i knew Hopper and Joyce had closed the gate.

Mike came running out and embraced El. "Joy! Joy!" i heard a voice say. I looked up to see Steve running towards me. He hugged me tightly as i continued coughing.

"You're so stupid, Jo. So fucking stupid" he mumbled. He pulled out of the hug as he looked me up and down to see if i was okay. "Im fine. Im fine" i said.

He groaned as he began kissing my head all the way down to my lips. He pulled out of the kiss and held me in his arms. We both looked to see Max trying to wake Billy up.

She began sobbing as El held her in her arms. I gave Steve a worried look as he gave me one back. "Is everyone else okay?" i asked. "Yeah, i'm pretty sure" he said. I nodded as he continued holding me.

I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders knowing everyone else was alright.
