Remy's POV

Jay's hug feels familiar and nice but it's not enough.
My powers are gone and I don't know why. W-what happened??

I'm sat on the floor of Jay's bedroom sobbing into my hands, genuinely not knowing what to do. My head feels light and my heart feels empty; the only thing in my heart is my secret crush on Jay...

I'm not the type to cry easily. You see, I'm usually the one either starting the fights at school, or the one breaking them up by winning. I'm pretty tough! But this..? This has struck me somewhere I didn't know could hurt; and it hurts deep.

"Shhhh" Jay whispers, trying to soothe me, "it's going to be okay, I'm here for you"

His words mean more than he realises,  just him being there is wonderful. The way his body moves is so familiar. The way he breathes Is comforting; and the slow, constant beat of his heart is slowly lulling me into exhaustion.

I want to hug him back and tell him that I like him; but since he told me his feelings about me, I just thought it best to keep my own feelings a secret.

I pull away from the hug and look up at him, my eyes wet and sad; his are dark and mysterious, but also kind. A rare find.
He smiles at me kindly and placed a hand under my chin, and I smile back, tears still streaming down my face.

What is it about this boy that drives me crazy??
He's kind. He's a genuinely sweet, kind and caring person. And plus, with abs like those, hows a girl supposed to resist?

"Will I ever stop feeling sad?" I ask him, not knowing how to react to me losing my powers.
"I think you will, and there are steps we can take to help you calm down" he says, and suddenly, I'm curious.

I sniff and wipe my tears, looking at him confused.
"Let's start with this" He says, and I'm not prepared for what happens next.
He places a hand on my cheek and moves closer to my face, his warm breath on me.
He hesitates, but goes for it, and gently placed his lips on mine.

I'm shocked at first and my lips tremble, but I slowly melt into it, placing my own hand on his cheek; and I can almost immediately feel my muscles relax.
