Walking down the dimly lit streets, Sunoo had his earphones in, the soft rhythm of Impurities by LE SSERAFIM playing in his ears. The cool night air brushed against his skin as he made his way back from Ni-ki's house, his thoughts still replaying the awkward yet oddly intriguing measuring session from earlier.
That boy is something else, he thought with a small huff, kicking a stray pebble on the sidewalk.
Feeling a sudden craving for something sweet, he decided to make a detour.
"Might as well grab some pastries before heading back."

The warm scent of baked goods and coffee filled the air as Sunoo stepped into Blue Hour, the cozy little café that had become somewhat of a student hotspot. However, before he could head to the counter, his eyes caught onto something far more entertaining.
At a table near the window, Jay was talking animatedly to Jungwon, whose expression looked dangerously close to murderous.
Sunoo stopped in his tracks, watching the interaction unfold.
Jay leaned in, flashing one of his cocky smirks, while Jungwon sat stiffly, his arms crossed tightly over his chest.
"...I'm just saying, Wonnie," Jay drawled, "if you keep ignoring me, I'll be forced to find a new favorite person. Maybe that guy over there—" He pointed dramatically at a random stranger. "He seems fun."
Jungwon's eye twitched.
"You're so annoying," he muttered, standing up so fast his chair scraped against the floor. Without another word, he spun on his heel and stormed out of the café.
Jay, clearly amused, simply chuckled. "See you tomorrow, love!" he called after him.
Sunoo snorted.
"Fire and water. Those two are impossible."
Shaking his head, he finally walked inside, heading for the counter.

The café was relatively empty, with a few vacant seats scattered around. Deciding it might be nice to stay for a while, Sunoo approached the counter, where a tall guy with dark red hair stood. He looked like a senior—maybe a third year—his name tag reading:
"Heeseung."
Cute.
Sunoo smirked to himself before leaning against the counter.
"Hey, could I get three pieces of yakgwa, please?"
Heeseung glanced up, his sharp eyes meeting Sunoo's. "Okay."
His voice was smooth, almost indifferent, but Sunoo caught a flicker of curiosity in his gaze. Within moments, Heeseung handed him a small paper bag, neatly packed with the pastries.
Sunoo took it with a grateful smile.
"Erm, Heeseung, am I right?"
"Yeah."
Sunoo nodded, then glanced around at the empty tables. "I noticed you guys have vacancies. Do you still need people?"
Heeseung raised a brow but nodded. "Yep. But you'd have to work afternoon shifts with some new kid."
Sunoo, not thinking too much about who the 'new kid' might be, quickly responded, "Could I apply?"
"Sure," Heeseung shrugged. "Come tomorrow, and I'll show you your shift partner."
Sunoo smiled. "Great."
As he took his bag of yakgwa, he turned back to Heeseung.
"Oh, and by the way... you look cute."
For the first time, Heeseung looked a little taken aback—just a slight shift in his expression, but Sunoo noticed.
"...Thanks," Heeseung replied, his voice a little quieter than before.
Sunoo chuckled. "Goodnight," he said before walking out of the café and heading toward Jungwon's dorm.

Leaving Blue Hour, Sunoo walked leisurely through the cool night, the warm bag of yakgwa in his hands. His mind lingered on Heeseung for a moment.
The guy was cute, no doubt. Sharp eyes, red-tinted hair, broad shoulders—aesthetically pleasing in a way that many people would go crazy for.
But... not really his type.
Heeseung had that effortlessly cool aura, the kind that screamed mysterious bad boy but actually a nerd who plays games all night.
"Yeah... Jake would totally love him."
With a chuckle to himself, Sunoo pulled out his phone and started texting Jungwon.
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: NEED HELP RN
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: CALM DOWN, BITCH
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: YOU CALM DOWN
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: I wasn't the one who just tried to murder Jay.
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: FUCK OFF HE'S PISSING ME OFF
Sunoo laughed out loud at the response, picturing Jungwon's furious little pout as he stomped around his dorm.
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: Well, IMO, you like him more than you realize.
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: Well then, you're no longer my BFF.
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: Oh? So who did I just buy this yakgwa for?
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: ...I take it back. I love you more than my sheep plushies.
Sunoo smirked in victory.
Jungwon could try to deny it all he wanted, but the truth was obvious. The bickering, the way his whole face lit up whenever Jay so much as looked his way—Sunoo had seen high school romance dramas less obvious than them.
Still, he'd save the teasing for later.
For now...
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: STFU. Tell me the tea when I get to your dorm.
🟣 [Sunoo☀️]: Also, I wanna drink a bit. Do you still have soju?
🟢 [Wonnie🐱]: Yep, I'll bring some out.
Perfect.
Sunoo slipped his phone into his pocket, humming along to the song playing in his earphones.
The night was quiet, the streets mostly empty, and the distant glow of city lights gave the sky an orange hue.
There was something about walking alone at night that made his thoughts feel clearer.
Between the chaos of school, friendships, and... whatever that thing with Ni-ki was—maybe a small drinking night with Jungwon was exactly what he needed.
Smiling to himself, he picked up his pace, eager to get to Jungwon's dorm.
