Chapter 17 - Dinner date!

AR - Penthouse

"Avish look," Aashi whispered as he pointed his index finger to his parents sleeping in each other's arms.

"Amma and Papa are coming closer to each other," Avish said with a small smile, then frowned immediately, "But Papa is snatching Amma from me!"

"Yes.. I'm sure Amma will forgive Papa soon," Aashi smile brightly as she held her brother's hand and dragged him to the living room where their parents were sleeping peacefully.

Aashi carefully placed a soft kiss on Khushi and Arnav's cheeks, then gestured Avish to do same.

By the time Avish wanted to place a kiss on Khushi's cheek, Khushi's eyes open slowly making Avish whine and waking Arnav up as well.

"Kya hua bachcha?" Khushi asked, placing her palm on his cheek lovingly.

"What happened?" Arnav frowned confused, he pulled Avish closer to him ruffling his boy's hair consoling him even when he's completely clueless about the matter, "Tell Papa.. What happened?"

"Amma woke up before I could kiss her," Avish pouted.

The frown on Arnav's forehead was instantly replaced by a smile on his lips after hearing Avish's explanation.

"Amma didn't woke up when Aashi kissed her," Avish complained.

Aashi giggled making Avish glare at her.

"Okay.. but who's stopping you from kissing me? You can kiss me now!" Khushi shook her head smiling at her baby's talks.

"No.. Go back to sleep you both now.." Avish demanded stubbornly.

Khushi and Arnav looked at each other smilingly, before they closed their eyes again pretending to sleep.

Avish smiled and kissed both's cheeks happily, "Now open your eyes!"

Arnav and Khushi obeyed his words and he kissed them again, staring with a victorious look to his sister, "I gave four kisses to Amma and Papa and you just gave two! I won!"

Aashi glared at him, then looked at her parents with teary eyes. Realizing that she was about to cry, Arnav lifted his daughter and made her sit on his belly, his hands automatically rubbed her back gently and in just seconds, she was back to her normal chirpy mood.

Khushi gestured Avish to join them, and the little one obeyed his mother by climbing up on the couch to reach Khushi.

7 pm

"Akash are you out of your mind? How will I be able to do this? If you say that your brother was paralyzed  for six years then how will Khushi believe that he had an affair with me and we've a child?" a woman sat on the couch of her apartment asked baffled.

"No one has a proof that Bhai was indeed paralyzed Sheetal," Akash smirked.

"And what about his friend Aman? He can expose me in seconds," Sheetal asked.

"I know.. but right now Khushi doesn't trust Bhai and Aman the same way like before. She didn't forgive him yet and they're not close to each other like in past. She's not that Khushi who would trust him blindly. She's not that Khushi who loved her Arnav ji more than anything in this world. She's not that Khushi who would keep quiet and cry silently, then forgive Bhai for his mistakes," Akash explained, "And I want us to work in this plan now so that I can use this lack of trust in their relationship to destroy Bhai completely.. I need to take over AR again Sheetal. Do you understand? I cannot just sit and watch Bhai reconcile with his family while me and my family are living a hell in that house. Bhai is slowly slowly taking revenge from me for hurting Khushi. I can feel the worst is yet to come Sheetal.. I just can't let it happen and you'll have to help me in this."

"What will I gain by helping you in this plan?" Sheetal raised her brows.

"Are you serious?" Akash rolled his eyes, understanding what he meant, Sheetal sighed and nodded her head, "Okay. When do we start?"

"Tomorrow," he replied determined to destroy ASR's family.

Restaurant XYZ

A huge genuine smile adorned Arnav's lips staring at his little happy family sat on the restaurant table, discussing their random funny stuff. Aashi and Avish sharing their school stuff with Khushi is the funniest thing he ever heard in his life. The way the two cuties complain to their mother about the teachers and Khushi trying to defend the teachers with 'Don't say bad things about your teachers. They just want good for you both' line but literally ends up cursing them under her breath for troubling her kids was making difficult for him to maintain his ASR - always composed and expressionless mode.

"Papa we're hungry," Aashi grinned sheepishly directly giving a hint to her father to order food for them.

"I'm also very hungry," Khushi pouted.

"No jogging.. Only eating and eating!" Avish passed a taunt. Khushi and Aashi glared at Avish.

"Acha.. You'll taunt your mother now," Khushi pulled his nose, making Avish giggle.

"Right Avi.. but I guess they're very lucky as they just eat everything they want and don't even get fat," Arnav said.

"Yes Papa.. They don't know how much we suffer to get six packs!" Avish cried.

Khushi and Aashi laughed at Avish, while Arnav trying hard not to laugh at his son's complaint, called the waiter to take their orders.

The waiter headed towards their table with two menu books, a notebook and pen on his hands.

"Good evening to the beautiful family," the waiter greeted with a fresh smile on his lips.

"Good evening," Arshi replied smiling politely, while the kids replied cheerfully.

The waiter placed the menu books on the table explaining the variety of dishes their restaurant had to offer and letting them comfortable to choose what they think best for their dinner.

While Khushi picked one menu book on the table and went through it, Avish snatched the other from Arnav and shared with his sister, both cutely serious staring at the menu book thinking what they want to order.

Arnav chuckled softly at his babies, then peeked Khushi's menu book asking her if she had decided anything to order.

After reaching to an conclusion with his sister, Avish stood on his chair and raised the menu book to his mother's face, tapping his finger enthusiastically on it, "Amma we want this.. We want this."

Khushi took a look at his food wish, then frowned, "Chup (Shut up).. You both don't even like fish. Sit quietly and properly on your chair right now."

Avish pouted frowning, "Ammaaa" earning a glare from Khushi who gestured him to sit properly on his chair, leaving him with no other option other than to obey his mother's words.

Khushi ordered food for them, while Arnav and the babies were quiet on their seats glancing at each other.

The waiter left after taking a note of their orders and Khushi shifted her attention to the three silent souls on the table.

"What?" she shrugged.

"You didn't even ask me what I want to eat.. well that's okay .. but you could have let Aashi and Avish eat what they wanted, right?" Arnav turned into the lawyer of his kids.

"They can't even bear the smell of fish Arnav. Do you think they would eat what they were about to order?" Khushi said.

Arnav glanced at his babies, who nodded in agreement with their mother's words, smiling sheepishly to Arnav.

"And about you.. then I know what you like to eat.. I don't need to ask you," she said in low tone, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Arnav smirked, making Khushi roll her eyes as she tried hard not to blush and give him the satisfaction of seeing her nose and cheeks red like a tomato because of him.

Shantivan

"Looks like finally Chote is spending quality time with his family today," Anjali said smiling.

Nani shifted her attention from the TV to her granddaughter, nodding her head, "That's very good Anjali bitiya. They truly deserve this moment. Chote, Khushi bitiya and even the babies suffered a lot without each other in all these years."

"Yes.. ASR missed Khushi a lot when he was in London.. I could see it in his eyes that he badly wanted her by his side but he stopped himself because of his condition. I found him crying alone many times in past. He always hide his pain from us. Only Sona could make him smile during the tough phase in his life," Lavanya said.

Aman, who was helping his daughter solve a puzzle, raised his head a bit and nodded in agreement to what his wife said.

"Khushi also suffered a lot without him.. that too pregnant with twins!" Anjali said sadly.

"I don't think so.. Khushi had our support whereas Arnav ji was all alone in another country.. He had no family to comfort him and be by his side when he needed the most," Payal said.

"Hello hi bye bye.. Absolutely correctwa!"

Anjali and Nani glanced at each other, shaking their head in disbelief.

Lavanya frowned slightly lost in her thoughts, "Payal and Khushi changed so much.. Payal was such a sweet and introvert girl, now she behaves so arrogantly with me.. and Khushi was such a bubbly, happy go lucky girl.. today she behaves like a mature and responsible woman. That's so weird.. these two sisters were so close to each other.. what happened now that they don't even look at each other's faces."

"Well ASR is with his family. Bht where's your husband, Payal? Isn't he joining us for dinner?" Aman asked smirking.

"He will come back late today, because he keeps AR as his priority whereas the owner doesn't seem interested in his own empire," Payal smiled sarcastically, clutching her hands.

"That's so sad Payal.. Your husband doesn't consider you and your child as his priority," Aman faked pity.

Payal rolled her eyes and left the living room, not in mood to bear Aman's taunts. Mami followed her angry with Aman for talking rubbish about her son.

"Payal bitiya call Akash bitwa home right now.. We've to show that Aman that Akash bitwa is a perfect husband.. that he loves and cares for you and Ayan as well," Mami ordered while both climbed up the stairs.

"I've already called him so many times Ma.. His phone is switched off now," Payal said irritated.

"Yeh Akash bitwa bhi na.. He always gives opportunities for others to humiliate and taunt us," Mami sighed hard.

Arnav stopped his eating his food, when he realized his two babies staring intently at him.

He shrugged with a smile, "What happened?"

Both nodded sideways cutely and continued eating.

Khushi leaned closer to him and whispered, "They're observing their father.. remember, you're meeting them after so many years and they don't know much about you.. so they told me that they observe everything about you.. the way you talk, walk, eat, sleep.. Your babies are just curious to know more about you."

Arnav smiled as he realized Khushi was indeed right. Whenever he is home, his babies are always around him.

Khushi too smiled at him, staring at those shining brown chocolate eyes that she loves the most.

"Papa we will sleep at your Penhouse na?" Aashi asked.

"No baby.. We will go back home now," Arnav replied.

"Are you missing Sona now?" Aashi asked in low tone.

"Princess your Amma, you and Avi are my babies, you three are more important to me than anything else. I'm Sona's uncle so it's obvious that I like her a lot too.. but you three always come first for me," Arnav explained.

Aashi and Avish looked at each other, then at Arnav squealing in happiness.

"Now that Papa already assured that no one will take his babies place in his life, you both should ask Sona to be your friend and play with her. Don't let her feel alone at home," Khushi said.

"I would like to play basketball with her but I know she will prefer to play with Aashi's dolls," Avish shrugged.

"You should ask her first what she likes to play na!" Arnav said.

"Okay.. I will ask but I know her answer,"

"Stubborn," Khushi pulled his nose chuckling, Arnav and Aashi laughed at Avish's face.
