Squiddy packed up his new blue shiny backpack with school supplies. He added a pencil case filled with writing materials, some notebooks, a laptop, and all the other school supplies needed.

"Squiddy, it's time to go to school!" Rainbow's voice jerked him to attention.

"Okay, Momma!"

They stepped through a portal, with the family waving bye behind them, and found themselves in front of the beautiful school. It was made of white marble and seemed to glitter in front of his eyes.

"Let's go in!" just as they were about to pass through the gates, the sky turned gray. Storm clouds moved into the scene, and released a huge amount of water, drenching everyone in the courtyard. Parents grumbled. Animalcolms gasped. 

"HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!" a huge boom echoed across the school. 3 birds hovered in front of everyone, spreading their wings. One was ice blue, one brown, and the last one a flaming red one, which was enveloped in a magical cacoon to shield it from the rain. "Animalcolm School will fall in the 3 Ancient Birds' rule! Surrender now or fight!"

"We will fight!" Squiddy stepped up. He tossed his backpack to Rainbow who caught it awkwardly. caught his breath as he transformed. "You surrender!" he transformed.

"TYPHOONBRINGER?!?" the leader, who seemed to be ice blue squawked with surprise and backed off. "Burnfeather, Rockwing, beware!"

"May I join you?" a mint green Octo with pink cat ears came to his side. Typh nodded, and she transformed: a pale green Octo with pink stripes across her face; cat ears perking up more sharply; glowing green eyes; and in her tentacle snagging a bow of different shades of green and a basket full of arrows on her back. 

"But-but you're Nature type! There's a flaming dude over there!" Typh gestured to the red bird.

"Well, it's raining! Its powers must have greatly diminished!" the female Octo grinned.

"WHAT?!? WHY IS NATURESONG ALSO HERE?!? NO! NOT THE STRONGEST AND 2ND STRONGEST OCTOS!" Rockwing squeaked. "Oh no!! Marinetalon, should we retreat?"

"Well, you better retreat!" Naturesong and Typhoonbringer hefted their weapons. 

"NEVER!" the birds reared and out of their beaks, shot out beams of water, rocks, and fire. "Water Beam!" "Rock Blast!" "Fire Arrow!" The fire quickly fizzled out, and the rocks slowly eroded into dust. Only the water beam remained, rushing towards the two Octos. Parents shouted. Animalcolms ran. Rainbow screamed Squiddy's name.

"Wow, wow, wow." Typh whipped away the beam with his trident. "You call that a water beam? This is a real water beam!" he raised his weapon and shouted, "Water Vortex!" Immediately out of the prongs of his trident, shot out one big beam of glowing blue water. Dark liquid flowed over the surface, circling the beam as it rushed towards Marinetalon. The bird tried to dodge, but it was too late. The beam struck the bird straight in the chest and sent Marinetalon rolling through the air. The bird shrieked. 

"Now, it's my turn." Naturesong aimed at Burnfeather, who tried to fly away but unsuccessfully. As she let go of the string, the tip turned barbed. The arrow missed the bird by a few centimeters. Burnfeather cawed with triumph. Suddenly, the arrow veered back on course and slammed into the bird's back. Burnfeather staggered and fell. The crowd cheered.

"Now, it's your turn!!" the two Octos faced Rockwing. 

"No! Rock Tumble!" it shot out a huge beam of rocks, straight towards Naturesong. Naturesong gasped, and the rocks slammed straight into her, and she flew through the air. Someone screamed. She hit the wall on the far side of the school, crying in agony. Rocks flew towards Typh, and he shouted a command.

"Water Barrier!" A water shield appeared, blocking the debris. Typh thrust out his trident. His vision turned blue. A blue aura was surrounding him. "HOW DARE YOU HURT HER! Aqua Dragon!" a huge dragon made out of liquid rushed out of his trident and roared defiantly. 

"Uh oh... I BETTER RETREAT!!" Rockwing flew away as fast as he could, but the dragon was right behind the bird's tail. 

The dragon rushed in front of the frantic bird and rammed into the bird's body, disappearing. Rockwing gasped as he fell, plummeting towards the ground. 

"Water Cage!" Typh gathered up the other two bodies of the bird trio and summoned a water cage, Rockwing dropping right into it. Typh quickly sealed the cage shut. "So long, The 3 Ancient Birds!" then he looked up at the sky. "Oh, it's still raining." he waved his tentacle to the sky, and the storm clouds parted, and the warm golden rays of the sun shone down onto the clearing. 

He left the school monitors to deal with the birds and rushed towards Naturesong. She was trying to struggle to the tips of her tentacles but failed. "Are you all right?" he gently asked. 

"I'm fine, just winded." she spat out a chip of concrete. "Great. We defeated the birds!"

"Yup! It was nice working with you!" Typh stuck out his tentacle and she took it, and they shook tentacles. There was a huge cheer. Typh morphed back into Squiddy. "My name is Squiddy!"

The pale green Octo turned back to mint green. "My name is Echo."

"Do-do you want to sit with me during lunch? You are my first friend here!"

"Sure!" she beamed up. "You are also my first friend!"

Then a vortex of water appeared above them, and a girl with black hair stepped out. She had blue feathers braided in her hair, a shimmering blue T-shirt and pants with sea swirls on them, light blue shoes, a blue circlet around her forehead bearing a shard of Benitoite, and an Aquamarine bracelet with a token of a soaring eagle. It was Eagleimus, the deputy of the Elements Council.

"I enchant this school to be safe from any intruders, free from any harm." she spread her arms, and a glittering blue dome appeared, surrounding the school. 

"Thank you Eagleimus!" the school director burst out and bowed. 

"You don't need to bow. Now, the Elements Council will watch the first day of the new school!" her eyes sparkled with light. Then she winked at Squiddy and Echo. "Nice work you two, facing the 3 Ancient Birds! The Elements Council favored you two the most." then she blinked out of sight, leaving nothing but water vapor.
