5 years later

"Come on, Squiddy! Let's go find Champion Team's queen and king!" Echo dragged Squiddy through the halls of the Champion Team HQ. The pair had been training for years now, and they were the most powerful battle team in their school. Echo had agreed to Squiddy's impossible plan, and now they were trying to find their king and queen.

They saw a room labeled: King and Queen lounge. They pushed their way in. The queen and king were seated on their thrones, chewing on some type of snack. They faltered when they saw them. "Who are you?"

"My name is Squiddy, and this is Echo. We challenge you to a king and queen battle! WE WILL DEFEAT YOU GUYS!" Squiddy shouted, trying to sound brave, ignoring the shake of his tentacles.

"Okay, haha! Everyone says that, but in the end, they lose to us. So you will too!" the queen yelled, standing up and throwing away her snack. "My name is Earthquake!" the king yelled, "My name is Rockspire!" 

They teleported to a big vast arena. Wilddragon was surprisingly the judge. She shouted, "NOW, THE BATTLE TO DETERMINE WHO IS THE QUEEN AND KING OF CHAMPION NATIONS IS STARTING! 3!! 2!!!! 1!!!!!"

Squiddy tensed up. Everything that he learned would have to come into use now. 

"GO!!!"

Squiddy and Echo transformed. 

"Water Vortex!" Typh yelled, aiming at Rockspire. He dodged the beam. Typh shot again but he dodged again. Rockspire sent a flurry of rocks and dirt in his direction. He formed a water barrier and counterattacked. He and Echo had formed a plan before they challenged the queen and king. He hoped that they would use it. He had an idea. While Rockspire was rushing towards him, with a gigantic rock spire in his hand, he squirted some soapy water into the path and backed off. 

"HAHAHA I GOT YOU NOW- WOOAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"Rockspire screamed as his tentacles slipped and slid across the wet tiles of the arena. He fell, his weapon crumbling as it hit the ground. 

"HA! Aqua Spear!" Typh shot a whole new attack. A replica of his trident, but made of water, appeared in midair, zooming towards Rockspire at amazing speed. The trident slammed into Rockspire, and he yelped as he flew backward. He crashed into Earthquake, and they fell over each other. "NATURESONG! NOW! PLAN A!" Typh yelled.

"Yes! Leaf Tornado!" she shot an arrow and it transformed into a tornado of leaves. The tornado swept up the two opponents and whirled them around, like the wheels of a bus. 

"HAH!" Typh formed a water cage around them, to prevent them from escaping from the tornado. 

"AHHHHH!!" suddenly there was a big flash of light. The tornado and the cage exploded, and the king and queen fell to the ground and landed gracefully. "Nice try." they snickered. "Now, it's our turn!" they did a mixed attack!

"QUICK! PLAN DEFENCE!!!" Typh jumped in front and summoned the biggest and most powerful shield he had. Naturesong joined in with a nature shield. The shields melted together and formed a turquoise shield. the attack collided with the shield. Typh and Naturesong strained to keep the shields active. 

"Earth Rope!" a brown earthy rope wrapped around them, and they fell to the floor. Their opponents walked over, snickering, their tentacles blazing with power, ready to knock them out. 

"NO! Water Burst!!!!" Typh screamed. He exploded in a big flash of pure blue light. He felt nothing but fury and rage. Once the light disappeared, he landed on his feet, his eyes blazing with blue fire, and a blue aura formed around him. The queen and king had been blasted off their feet, and they were trying to struggle back to their feet. Naturesong also blasted out of her ropes and landed beside him. 

"Nice job, Typh! You unlocked your Resonance form! It's more powerful than the normal forms!" she whispered in his ear. 

"Nice!" Typh grinned at her and focused on his rage. At the edge of his vision, he saw Rockspire charging toward him, his face flushed with anger. 

"You will fall!" he promised. 

"Or maybe, you will!" Typh roared. With newfound energy, he lashed out with his trident and knocked him backward. 

Meanwhile, Naturesong was getting beat up by Earthquake. She was being thrown into the air and hit back and forth like a ball as Earthquake laughed with glee. "OW! STOP IT!" Naturesong grew angry, and when Earthquake's weapon zoomed towards her again, she caught it and snapped it in half, her eyes blazing with green fire. "YOU SHALL NOT BEAT US!" while Earthquake was still in a trance, she shot a bunch of poisonous ivy at her. 

Earthquake snapped out of her trance at once and dodged the ivy. She shot a beam of earth at Naturesong, who tried to dodge but failed. She sailed through the air and landed just a few meters from the line. Earthquake stood over her, cackling. 

"No. I've got to find my strength... I can't let them win!" Naturesong growled. She focused on her energy. She exploded, just like Typh, and knocked Earthquake off her tentacles. She was now surrounded by a green aura, and a green fire shone in her eyes. 

"Nice! We got our Resonance forms, so beware! My turn!" Typh laughed. "Tsunami Sweep!" Typh swept his trident, and a huge roar shook the ground. The roaring grew louder and louder. 

Wilddragon yelled, "What is Typhoonbringer doing?"

Typh screamed and jumped into the air, holding his trident above his head, just as a humongous wave towered over the arena. The audience screamed. So did the queen and king. 

"Let me join in!" Naturesong's eyes lit up.  She shouted, "Nature Hurricane!" from the other side of the arena, another huge roar filled the arena. As she jumped,  A humongous hurricane appeared, swirling with leaves, poisonous plants, and thorny plants. The audience yelped. 

"YAHHHHHH!!!!" Naturesong and Typhoonbringer lunged forwards, and the hurricane/tsunami followed them. The queen and king tried to fight back. Rockspire jabbed frantically at Typh, but he just simply knocked it out of his tentacles and homed in on him. The tsunami towered over them. Naturesong dodged all of Earthquake's attacks and shot arrows at her, who barely missed them. "FORCE THEM TOGETHER!!" Typh yelled, shoving Rockspire towards Earthquake, and Naturesong kicked Earthquake towards Rockspire. "THIS IS THE FINALE! Typhoon of Nature, wash your opponents away! Water-Nature Convergence!!!" 

The tsunami crashed into the arena and slammed into the queen and king. At the same time, the hurricane knocked into them from the other side. The queen and king screamed. Water and nature flew everywhere. The audience ducked behind their seats. Then finally, dust filled the air. Everyone coughed. 

When the dust cleared, they saw...

4 Octos sprawled out in the middle of the arena. Typh and Naturesong's auras had faded away. Everyone held their breath to see who would win. 

Typh flipped onto his back and groaned. Naturesong tried to push herself to her tentacles but failed. As for the queen and king, they lay there, unmoving, clearly knocked out. All the octos were caked in dust.

"AND THE WINNER OF THE MATCH, AND THE NEW QUEEN AND KING OF CHAMPION NATION, IS, TYPHOONBRINGER AND NATURESONG!!!!" Wilddragon's voice boomed. The audience cheered loudly. 

That seemed to be the most pleasing sound in the world, and the last sound that Typh heard before he blacked out.
