Ok onto the small rant. I just wanna say, before I get started, I AM NOT TARGETING ANYONE SPECIFIC! So PLEASE, I beg you not be like "Oh you mean me ;-;" It just makes me feel bad and get kinda defensive
Anyways this rant is gonna be about referencing and copying. I know I'm gonna get a lotta hate for this but it's just my opinion! So. Getting into the subject. I don't mind when people reference or get inspired by things, not at all! I do this a lot, often about creature and OC designs. It's just that when somebody complexity rips off an idea that bothers me. This is mostly in young artists that are still learning to design but most of them are at a point where they KNOW it looks basically exactly like someone else's characters. It's probably just some pet peeve but for some reason I get extremely bothered by this?? I don't mean to sound rude but HUMANS! YOU HAVE THE INSPIRATION, LOOK AT IT FOR SOME TIME, PUT IT AWAY, AND TRY DOING SOMETHING ELSE! You have an awesome imagination you awesome human beings, use it!
