Chapter 1

"Listen carefully Will."

I sat up- terrified for my life- in the agency van. I was watching Will's every move from the monitors in front of me.

Behind him, in front of him, his point of view, and both sides of him.

There was no way I'd let anything happen to him.

"Volgo likes to play tricks. Sometimes, they can be extremely over the top. Do exactly what we've planned, no matter what. Not even, if you think it's the better move." I said over the ear piece.

"Copied." He responded, meaning he understood, and would listen for a change.

"And Will-" I began.

"Yes?"

"Don't listen to a word he says. He can't be trusted."

Will quietly chuckled, "I know, El, I know."

I smiled warmly for a moment.

"Oh, and there's something else!"

"What?" He turned his head to one of the camera's, so it looked like he was facing directly at me.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." I watched as he smiled at me through the camera.

Lord, please help him survive!

"Movement on the right side." Ashley, our 'tech girl' reported.

"Nick, start heading over towards Will. Movement has been sighted to the right of him." Nick was also a new recruit. Him and Will are pretty close now, and would do almost anything to protect each other.

"Copy that!" He responded. I watched Nick's monitors as he made his way over towards Will.

"Will, stay alert. Movement on your right." I told him.

"Roger." He replied, turning himself around, facing the right side. I watched as Nick appeared right next to Will.

"Here we go boys. Let's take them down!" I stood behind Ashley's chair, and crossed my arms, watching both monitors nervously.

Will and Nick pointed their guns towards the area where the movement was located.

"Quietly turn your gun lights on." I directed in a sly whisper.

Both boys flipped on the light switch, revealing the messy floor filled with boxes, and old dolls. Creepy.

"You have to be kidding me." Nick started, causing my attention to switch to his monitors.

Standing in front of them were two, soldier looking, dolls.

"Shit." I muttered, "He knows we're here."

"Listen, you two need to get out of there as fast as you-"

Before I could finish, there was a loud boom, and everything went black on the screens.

"Will!" I cried, leaning up closer to the monitor screens that were now that ugly mix of white, black, and grey.

"We seem to have lost signal captain." Ashley reported.

"S-see if you can hack into the nearest cell tower and use that energy." I commanded.

Ashley typed extremely fast on her computer for a full minute, before turning her head towards me, and shaking it.

"Not possible from here." She looked at me with sympathetic eyes.

"Fine, than I'm going in myself." I announced, grabbing the nearest gun.

"Captain I don't-"

"Please Ashley, call me Ella." I said, right before jumping out of the agency van, and running towards the building.

Several little trails of smoke came out the cracks of the door, and Windows.

Whatever happened in there must not of been a huge explosion if this is all the "damage".

"Will? Nick?" I called out, seeking for an answer I didn't receive.

"In here." I heard one of them say. I ran to the source of the voice to see Nick up against a wall, with a giant stain of blood on his suit, right below his kneecap.

I put the gun back in the crease of my leather pants, and fell to my knees beside him, "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine, but you need to get Will." He pointed to a door at the other end of the chaos.

I grabbed my walkie-talkie, and radioed back to Ashley.

"I need you to come meet Nick. His leg is severely injured."

"On my way." she radioed back.

"Stay put for a minute." I said, standing up and taking my gun back out.

I started to walk towards the door, kicking every piece of this building by my feet away. My gun was armed, and ready to fire just in case a fun surprise showed up.

I shook the door handle a couple times, but it didn't budge.

"Damn, it's locked." I murmured.

I stood back a little, before raising my leg, and kicking the door as hard as I possibly could.

The door flew open, revealing Will tied up in a wooden chair.

"Will." I smiled, rushing over too him. Will widened his eyes, and kept shaking his head 'no'.....

I stopped dead in my tracks, and looked around as a bright light was turned on.

"So glad you could make it!" Volgo snickered, slowly clapping his hands.

I gritted my teeth and met his red eyes with a glare.

"Volgo." I snapped.

"It's so happy to see you! It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" He smirked, as he sat down on his balcony, kicking his feet up on the rail.

"What do you want?" I asked, backing up towards Will.

"What do you want Ella? After all, you're the one who came to me."

"I want you dead, and dead is what you deserve to be." I spat, "but the agency wants you in their custody for a while." I sighed, and looked the other way.

"Hmm, ok." Volvo stood up, and walked down to meet me.

"What?" I asked, staring at him more confused than ever.

"Arrest me." He held out both of his hands.

"Really?" My eyes popped out of my head. I glanced at Will who looked utterly as confused as I did.

"Yea, I have nothing better to do." He advanced his hands closer to me.

"Well, ok?" I took out a pair of handcuffs, and took his hands behind his back.

"You're under arrest for-"

"The mass murder of several people. I know, I know, I know." He finished, rolling his eyes.

I took out my knife, and cut Will loose before directing both of them to the van, while Will called backup.

After 45 minutes of waiting around, backup came, and took Volgo away.

Once Volgo left, Will walked over to me, and put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"Don't you think it was odd how he agreed to be taken away like that?" I asked him.

"Very odd, but it's over. He's well on his way with two, strong, experienced agents, just like we've planned."

"I know, but-"

"Ah! No buts, Ella. We won. It's over. Now, let's go celebrate." He grabbed my arm, and started pulling me towards our van.

*You used to call me on my cell-phone, late night when you need my love*

My ringtone went off, and my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, to see that Agent Wisp was calling.

"Actually hold on." I said, taking my arm away from his, "I uh, need to take this real quickly."

Will stopped and watched me as I turned around to talk to Agent Wisp.

"Hello?" I said upon answering.

"Ella, I need you and Will to get down here as fast as you can. Something important' popped up." Before I could reply, she hung up.

"What was that about?" Will asked, noticing my concerned face.

"That was Agent Wisp, Will. She needs us down at the agency asap."
