A platonic Brud and Simon chapter

".. what are you doing?" Brud looked up and was met with Simon's judgmental gaze, he quickly swallowed the dirt in his mouth before smiling.

"Brud is eating dirt! Want some?" Brud stuck his hand out to reveal a handful of dirt and small rocks, Simon blankly stared at him before kneeling down in front of him.

"Did.. did you hit your head or something?" Simon reached his hand out and began to gently poke Brud's head earning a giggle from him. "Brud didn't hit his head, silly!" Brud laughed like an idiot making Simon back up, "Oh. You're just an idiot." He groaned and stood up, walking away from the certified dumbass.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Brud stood up as well and began following Simon, "I'm gonna go hang out with– "

"Can Brud come?!" Brud spun around Simon, a childlike grin present on his face. Simon facepalmed and shook his head no, "Sorry. It's just gonna be us two. You can.. you can stay here. And play with those two bugs right there!" He pointed towards two rocks and ran off – leaving Brud alone.

"Oooh! Rocks!" He picked them up and walked away, forgetting all about Simon.
