A long sigh escaped my lips as I stared up at the giant ceiling above me. I had been three days since mine and Aaron's 'date' or at least it felt like one. He was so kind and gentle and treated me so nicely...if only it really was a date.

"Malachi,...why are you sitting on my legs?" I asked as I used my elbows to push me up slightly.

"(Y/N), why are you laying down on the couch and taking up all the seating?" Malachi said back.

Did.....did I just get sassed by a second grader?

"Guess you have a point there."

I pulled Malachi up off me, allowing myself to stand up. I let out a small sigh, "Hey, I have an idea. How about I take you two, and Aaron if he wants to go, to an aquarium this week? It's almost spring break yeah?"

Levin suddenly bolted out of his room and had a huge toothy grin on his face, "Fish! I wanna go see the fish!"

I smiled at his reaction. "Yeah! I wanna go!" Malachi said with just as much excitement.

"Great!"

Saturday

The boys (including Aaron) were all still asleep as I made lunches. Aaron had requested a day off and luckily he got to go with us to the aquarium. It was still early morning but who knew those three could be such sleepy heads?

I finished packing the lunches into each of their owns lunch boxes. I had made ham and cheese sandwiches with a small bag of chips as a snack along with water bottles and string cheese. It was an easy and quick lunch but perfect for sitting out in the grass for when the boys get hungry.

I entered Malachi's and Levin's room quietly just to check if they were still asleep, luckily, they were so I could clean up the kitchen without interruption. I left their room and began to clean.

"Seriously? It's a day off just relax." Aaron laughed as stood at the end of the hall.

I jumped, "Oh! Aaron...you scared me." I smiled.

I looked towards Aaron and he was wearing a simple black T-shirt with gray sweats. His hair was a mess and looked like a birds nest and he had t most sleepiest look on his face.

"You could have slept longer. The aquarium doesn't open until 12:00." I said as I picked up the last ball of paper that was on the floor.

"Mmmm" Aaron let out a slight tired groan before he spoke again, "Yeah but I'd be too bored. And it wouldn't be nice to sleep in while you take care of everything."

I smiled, "Well then.....you can wake up the kids. We can get an early start!"

A while later

Aaron pulled his car up to a parking spot. We finally reached the aquarium (which was an hour drive away). Aaron finished parking and I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out. I then went and got Levin out of his seat. This adorable child! He had fallen asleep on the way here so I just planned on carrying him. He was surprisingly very light.

"Awesome! The aquarium is huge!" Malachi yelled excited as he ran around the car to get a better view.

Malachi took my hand in his and we all crossed the road and went strait to the doors. We entered and went right to the front desk.

"Family of four please." Aaron said to the person at the front desk.

Aaron and I split the money for the tickets and soon went to the large tanks.

"Wow look dad! Jellyfish! And Nemo's!" Malachi had the biggest grin I had ever seen.

Aaron chuckled and patted Malachi's head, "Yep. A lot of Nemo's."

A faint smile crossed my lips as I looked at those two. It must be nice for Malachi to have his dad spending more time with him.

"Levin, wake up." I said as I ran my fingers through his sandy blonde hair.

He opened his eyes slightly. "Levin look at all the fish."

Levin turned his attention to the giant tank in front of us and his eyes widened big. "Wow..." He whispered.

I set Levin down and he got as close to the tanks glass as he could and stared at all the fish with big sparkling eyes.

"Aaron! Is that you?" An all too familiar voice spoke.

Both Aaron and I turned to the voice and I came face to face with Ms. Kiki.

Oh no....I still haven't told Aaron about Malachi saying I was his mother. I really hope Kiki doesn't say anything about it...

"Hello Malachi, Levin." Kiki said with a big smile.

"Hi!" The two boys said at the same time.

"Oh right! I wanted to know Aaron. When is your guys' anniversary so I can mark it on my calendar?" Kiki asked.

I mentally groaned. Why? Why does this have to happen to me?

Aaron gave Kiki a confused look, "Anniversary? What are you talking about?"

"Ohhh don't play dumb with me! Yours and (Y/N)'s anniversary."

"Ours-"

I cut Aaron off, "Oh hahaha Kiki you are the funniest thing! Hey, why don't you and I go look at the angelfish!?" I said in a loud and rushed voice as I grabbed Kiki and pushed her towards the other large tanks.

"Huh? (Y/N) what was that all about?" Kiki asked.

"Umm...you see here Kiki. Aaron and I aren't actually-"

"Mom! Lookit this!" Levin yelled as he suddenly ran up and grabbed my hand.

Suddenly, Malachi ran up and grabbed my other free hand and began to pull me away, "Wow mom! The hammer head sharks are so cool!"

My face burned red and a 'kikikiki' came from behind me. Levin and Malachi pulled me back towards Aaron and his cheeks were slightly red.

"Are those two causing trouble again?" Aaron asked trying to stop his laughter.

My faced burned hotter and the two finally let go of my hands. "But it's surprising. They actually are thinking of you as their mother." Aaron chuckled.

"It's not funny! It's embarrassing." I said as I covered my face.

"Cute." Aaron whispered something but I didn't quite catch what he said.

"What was that?" I asked and tilted my head slightly.

"N-nothing." Aaron said embarrassed as he turned his attention back to the large tanks of fish.
