(Aaron's Pov)

I dropped (Y/N) off at her house and then the boys and I went home. Malachi seemed uncomfortable so on the drive home I decided to ask, "What's wrong Malachi?"

Malachi was silent, "...." then he decided to speak up, "Dad....was mo- (Y/N) angry?"

I nodded and answered, "Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because I did something stupid and I think I either made her uncomfortable or upset." I answered back.

Malachi thought for a moment and then spoke up, "Can't you just apologize? Then everything will be better again?"

A laughed quietly to myself, "If only it was that easy Malachi.....I still don't know how she took it....if she even likes me back...." I began to mumble to myself.

"Dad! Is this about that kiss earlier!?" Levin yelled suddenly.

His sudden voice made me frightened and my heart pounded in my chest....I thought he was asleep.

"Levin.....that scared me.."

Levin giggled and then said, "Well?.....is it?"

I sighed...this isn't something I should be discussing with two little kids. "It doesn't matter okay? We're almost home anyways." I said trying to cut the conversation off.

The two pouted obviously wanting to know but they're too young to even have to be bothered by this. We finally arrived home and went up to our apartment room. Levin and Malachi were worn out from all the fun today so they went right to bed. I think they were a little mad at me for making (Y/N) mad too.....Malachi decided that he didn't need me to tuck them in or read them a bedtime story...

After I showered and changed into pajamas I crawled into bed. I had work I needed to finish tonight but...I don't think I'd be able to focus on anything. My thoughts keep running to the look on (Y/N)'s face after our kiss. Her cheeks were so pink and her eyes were shining and shimmering and were a beautiful (E/C)*.

(E/C) = Eye Color

I groaned and rolled over in my bed. Why do I have to have these feelings again? I thought that my wife would be the only one I would ever love even after her death but....

I covered my face in my hands and looked up at the tall ceiling from the gaps between my fingers. I closed my eyes and was up with my thoughts halfway through the night before forcing myself to sleep. Around four in the morning my alarm rang and it was time for me to go work. I got up and was getting ready when I remember.....I needed to work overtime so I needed (Y/N) to stay with Levin and Malachi longer than usual.

I grabbed my phone and clicked on her number in my call list. It rang....and rang.....and rang.....before she finally picked up.

"Eh?" She said in a half asleep voice. I'm guessing she was trying to say 'hello' but came out 'eh'.....cute..

"Hi (Y/N). It's me Aaron." I said into the phone.

"Aaron? Oh....hi..what do you need?" She asked, still in a sleepy voice.

I chuckled slightly, "Would you be able to watch the kids for a while longer today? I have to work overtime today."

"Mm......no problem. How long should it be?" (Y/N) asked a little more awake now.

"I'm not sure but I'll call you when I find out."

"Okay. Is that all?" She asked.

"Yeah...oh and....I want to apologize for yesterday. I did something that made you uncomfortable..." I said in an apologetic tone.

"I-It's fine....." (Y/N) stuttered.

"It's not fine....I-"

"Really Aaron! I know it didn't have any meaning so it's fine." She said quickly.

No meaning? I wanted to protest but before I could she continued to speak, "Anyways..I'll see you later. Bye." Then she hung up.

I clenched the phone in my hand..."No meaning"....that's not right....it did have a meaning.... it meant that I loved her.....I kissed her because I love her....

Ugg....and I'm still right in the middle of the cold and feel miserable so my brain wasn't working to great so I decided to make this chapter shorter and I didn't want to just skip another chapter!
