Chapter 19
Chapter 19
Prince Ezerette Mclane
When we reached our home, Mom and Dad were sleeping already. Eclair had texted me that he'd go home as soon as Charlonne was done bugging him. He said that Charlonne was being a dick and kept dragging him to somewhere.
Taking Josh's hand, I led him upstairs, to my room, where he could rest and be comfortable. Josh kept his pace until we reached my bedroom. It wasn't anything nice - and by nice, I meant big and very organized, unlike Josh's room, which was full of expensive things - but this room was organized. Clean and organized.
Josh looked around my room. He was never bothered. In fact, he seemed to like my room more than his so I guessed he would be so comfortable in here.
"Sleep in the bed," I said as I turned on the lamp. I was glad I had changed sheets. "I'll sleep in Eclair's room. We can share."
"No," he said, staring at me with those beautiful eyes of his. "You're not going to be sleeping in Eclair's room. You're going to sleep with me."
"Um," I said, getting awkward. "But - "
"No buts, no ums," he said as he grabbed the hem of my shirt and took it off of me. "We're going to sleep. Here, in this bed. So now strip on your boxers and let's sleep."
I did obey. I took off my pants, leaving myself with boxers on. Despite his hard gaze, I restrained myself from squirming. The whole time, his gaze was on me. He was always looking at me with intense eyes, like he wanted to do something with me. But he never did.
I threw myself in the bed and covered myself with the thick, comfortable duvet and I let out a sigh as the tensions got off my back. Josh went to bed beside me and much to my shock, he put his arms around me and pushed me into him, my back hitting his hard chest and I could feel his breath fanning my neck. I shivered at the skin contact and electricity flew throughout my body. He was warm and very comforting. I shut my eyes and went to sleep, savoring Josh's touch.

Rolling over the bed, my face collided with a hard body and I looked up to see Josh still sleeping. As soon as I saw his face, a smile automatically tugged on my lips. Absentmindedly, I ran my finger across his strong jawline and he smiled. My finger grazed his soft, plump, pinkish lips. Now that I had thought of yesterday, I was craving another kiss. The kiss was too good to be true. Not only did we kiss once, we kissed like, three or four times? I didn't know. It could be two. I didn't care. All I wanted was to kiss him again.
His eyes flutter, then he opened his eyes and watched me with a smile. He leaned down and brushed the tip of his nose against mine and I chuckled.
"Good morning, hubby," he said groggily. A sexy morning voice. I grinned up at him and said good morning back. "How's your sleep?"
"Perfect," I said to him as I spooned closer to him. He wrapped his strong arms around me and kissed my forehead. "Josh, what's happening?"
"What do you mean what's happening?" He asked me as he watched me again, his brows furrowed. He ran his thumb across my cheek and looked at me with worried eyes.
"This," I said, gesturing our position. Clearly, it wasn't natural. I mean, it was a lie. But even I didn't know what's real and what's fake. "Why are we doing this?"
"I don't know to be honest," he said, still running his thumb across my cheek, then he touched my lips with his soft fingers. "All I know is that, I want to be here. To be with you. And to kiss you again. It's all started as a lie, but then something changed. You sensed it, right?"
"Yeah," I admitted. "Weeks ago, we were just stranger. Then the rumors had spread like a plaque."
He laughed lightly. "You were the one who started the rumors."
"I was?" I asked, arching a brow at him. He chuckled and I narrowed my eyes at him. "I so was not."
"But I'm glad you spread it," he insisted, grinning. "I would of never met you if you had not done that. I want to meet your friends."
"Why?"
"I'll thank them,"
We both shared a smile.
We got off the bed and wore some clothes. I had lent Josh some clothes to wear and despite his large frame, my clothes still fit on him. We got downstairs and found Mom making some breakfast whereas Dad, as usual, was reading newspaper to see if it there's any good news. Eclair was keeping his straight to his cellphone, like he had been waiting for someone to text him. He never looked up, or never gave a glance to our direction. And I guessed he was even unaware that Josh and I were here.
"Hey, Eclair," I greeted my brother, who looked up and said hey back. I frowned. He went back to staring at his phone. Dad lowered his newspapers he had been reading and stared at us. His eyes widen and he coughed loudly.
"That's gro - Oh My Gosh, Josh!" Mom exclaimed as she looked at us. Josh waved a hi at them and greeted them good morning. "Good morning, too, Josh. Now you Ezerette, why didn't you tell he was going to sleep here? I should have prepared something more exotic."
Josh laughed. "No, Mrs. Mclane. I'm fine. You not need to worry. I eat anything that's chewable."
"Is my brother chewable?" Eclair said as he grinned up at me. My face flushed and Dad coughed loudly. Dad shot Eclair a look and went back to reading. Dad was being awkward when someone made a sexual comment or anything related to sex. Though he was the one who told us about safe sex, he was becoming uncomfortable when he opened the topic.
"Eclair!" Mom scolded Eclair. She went back to cooking and Josh and I took a seat beside each other. "So, Josh, tell me what happened on your date. Knowing my son, he wouldn't share it."
"Mom," I whined, shaking my head at her, hoping she would stop.
"No, it's fine," Josh assured, smiling happily at me. I gave him a faint smile. "The date went awesome. It's perfect. Although your son here went ballistic on me, the date was the best date ever."
"Oh!" Mom squealed excitedly. "Tell me more! Ezerette never told me he married a man. A man! I kept pushing, setting him up on a date with girls and now I know why he always declined! He's married! Oh my God, honey. Your son is married!"
"Yeah, yeah," Dad said, brushing Mom off. "We will never have grandchildren. Eclair! Don't marry a man, okay?" Dad said teasingly.
Eclair rolled his eyes and started to eat cereals with lots of milk. He was always like that. Mom had cooked bread rolls.
Josh was so enjoying it he had 5 bread rolls. He said it was the first time he ate a bread roll. Of course, Mom felt delighted because it was her work. She was the one who cooked it. She was pleased to hear that Josh had liked the bread rolls she made.
After we ate breakfast, Josh and I went into the living room to watch some movies. Dad already went to work. Eclair was still grounded. But he didn't seem to mind it anymore. He was texting rapidly on his phone and smiling widely.
I wondered who he was texting. Josh laced his fingers with mine and kissed the back of my hand. The action made my heart flutter and I smiled up at him.
"Let's go on a date again," Josh whispered, running his nose across my cheek, which tickled me and I suppressed a giggle. "Please, hubby. This time, it will be better. I promise. No Eclair. No Charlonne. Just us."
"I heard that, you meepo." Eclair said as he arched a brow at Josh. Josh just shrugged. "Anyways, I don't want to be a third wheel. So it's okay."
Eclair went back to texting. His phone kept making a sound and I wondered who was the person who made my brother smile.
"So, go on another date with me Ezerette?" He asked me, doing puppy eyes so he could make me say yes. His eyes hardened and I was trying so hard to say no. "Pretty please, hubby, with a cherry on top with lots of chocolate sprinkles?"
"Alright," I caved in, sighing. Josh threw his hands up in the air, grinning. "Now make sure this date won't be epic. Understand?"
He nodded.
Even though our first dat was epic, I'd love to date him again. I didn't care if our first date was tragic. But it was fun nonetheless. And it was only a friendly date. It didn't count as a date date. This date would be different. I could feel it. Josh smiled at me
"Okay, then. This will be our first romantic date then." He said to me as he kissed me on the lips.
