At Sunup, Spottedstar and Dapplespots head for home and this time are intercepted by a WindClan patrol and Onewhisker who happens to be leading the dawn patrol meows "Hello Spotteddapple, hello Dapplespots." But Spottedstar sits beaming with pride and says kindly correcting him "Onewhisker, I don't want to be harsh but my name is Spottedstar now." And Onewhisker meows happy for her "So you did get your leader name, congratulations, I will inform Tallstar about this!" And then Spottedstar meows back "Thank you, I would love to chat more but I really must be getting back to camp, MistyClan is planning to start border patrols to mark the borders and check the territory out." And Onewhisker nods before he meows "Very well, may StarClan light your path." Then Spottedstar and Dapplespots reach the Thunderpath and run towards their territory and camp. When they finally reach it Spottedstar finds Featherlight sitting on the High Tree (the large oak that Spottedstar was sitting in while MistyClan was first getting settled in) before she bounds up to Spottedstar and meows "Good morning sisters , I trust your journey went well?" And Spottedstar nods and meows "So, who is taking the first dawn patrol out?" To which Featherlight replies "Well I was going to lead it and take Bluewillow, Bramblethorn, Timberstrike, Stonefeather, Splashstep, Hawktail, Echopaw, Emberpaw and Applepaw with me." And Spottedstar nods before she says "I'm going to have a piece of fresh kill since it seems the Moonrise patrol caught some." And Featherlight nods before Spottedstar gets a piece of fresh kill and takes it to her den, under the High Tree. After she eats, she decides to explore the territory herself a bit to get the lay of the land and she first climbs into a tree to get a better view and as far as the eye can see, Spottedstar can see nothing but their vast territory. Then she climbs down and begins to explore the forest when she comes close to the border with Twolegplace and smells the scent of other cats and assumes they are nothing more then rouges when she suddenly hears cats approaching and hides in a dense thicket and then she sees three cats mark the edge of Twolegplace before two others, a small black tom with a white paw and a collar with dog teeth imbedded in it around the cat's neck with Icy Blue eyes and a muscular black and white one also with a collar with dog teeth approach and she hears the surprisingly small tom say in a eerily high pinched voice "There is a new clan of forest cats making their home around here, we have to patrol here a bit more." And a dark gray she-cat says "You got it Scourge." Before they leave, all but the cat Spottedstar knows is the tom that was speaking a moment ago which is obviously Scourge and he says in a surprisingly softer tone "I know your there, come out!" And Spottedstar does and Scourge mews "You are one of the cats from that new clan of forest cats aren't you?" And Spottedstar nods before she says "Yes, my name is Spottedstar." And then she gets the most unexpected reply ever, especially from a cat like Scourge seems to be "Your name is as beautiful as you are Spottedstar." And Spottedstar says blushing just a tad bit "Thank you." And then she says being a bit flirty since she hasn't met a tom who can turn from being so demanding to soft and a bit sweet (she's had a couple ex's before but they were all abusive to her) like this before "And you are maybe one of, if not the most handsome tom I've seen in a long time." And Scourge says with a bit of shock yet happiness for finally being a bit understood as he sits for a minute talking to her "Thank you Spottedstar, that is maybe one of the most kind complements I have ever been given." And Spottedstar mews a bit confused but the realizing what he might be referring to "Kithood or earlier life wasn't the best for you I'm going to guess." And Scourge nods before he says "But you, beautiful must have had a good one." As he gently touches his nose to hers actually showing just a bit of affection for once in his life and wraps his tail around one of her paws a bit. But then she says "Well, it's not completely the best in terms of family, you see when my littermates and I were apprentices our mother was killed in battle against ShadowClan and we were all really close to her, we were originally from RiverClan but RiverClan became a bit too large so I volunteered to start a new clan and most of the Clans agreed, that's sort of how we came to be living on this side of Twolegplace now." And Scourge nods and whispers as he actually purrs and rubs against her a bit "Will you come back here tomorrow at Moonhigh, I would love to see you again." And Spottedstar nods and says "I promise I will, in fact, if I'm not busy I'll come here tonight." And Scourge nods and says "I'll be here." Before Spottedstar hears a patrol close by and says "I've got to go, I'll see you tonight." So he answers back "See you tonight beautiful." Then Spottedstar heads of the rub his scent off in some mud and water before she decides to head back to camp.
