Neaveh
"Silas take it back"
"No, I said what I said and I meant it"
I was really trying to forgive Silas but he was digging himself a bigger hole. Right now we were at our house sitting on the couch and eating food while watching tv.
I decided to put on Spongebob since it's the best show ever created. Silas just had to open his big mouth and say that Spongebob is the worst show he ever seen.
"Tell me something you learned from Spongebob and I'll apologize to you"
"Spongebob taught me to love people even if they're rude to me. Patrick taught me to be myself and not care about what other people think. Squidward taught me to continue music even though I'm horrible at it. Plankton taught me to go after what I want no matter how much times I fail. Mr. Crabs taught me to chase money. Sandy taught me to never forget where I came from"
Silas stared at me in amazement. To me Spongebob is much more than just a show. It's my whole childhood.
"I'm sorry"
He whispered. I had to lean over to him for me to hear what he was saying. He wasn't this quiet a couple mintues ago when he was talking reckless.
"Your apology needs to be just as loud as your disrespect was"
"I'm sorry. I was wrong and you were right like always"
"I forgive you. I can't stay mad at you for too long"
He pulled me on his lap and snuggled closer to me. He ran his hair through my weave as I ran my hands up and down his chest.
"Hi mommy, hi daddy"
Jordan said as she sat down on the couch next to us with Everly in her arms. She has gotten really good at talking care of Everly. She also started calling me mommy.
"What are you guys up to?"
I asked since Jordan was holding Everly correctly and not slanted. She only holds her straight when she's causing trouble.
"I'm teaching her how to say Jordan as he first words"
Silas immediately pulled away from my neck. He's been trying to make her say dada for weeks now. Even though I'm doing the same thing he doesn't need to know about it.
"If her first word is Jordan you're going to pack your bags and move out"
She just rolled her eyes and got back to Everly who was playing with her hair. Even though they're not related Jordan treats her like she's her sister.
"Thank you for taking care of Everly. I know it's hard to go from having Silas's full attention to getting half"
"It's fine really. I know that I'm going to be an aunt when you and Silas have a family. That's what Silas said"
I looked back at Silas with a shocked face. His eyes wandered around the room, not once catching mine. He talks about having kids with me?
I was about to make fun of him but the door busted open. Myra came running towards the couch landing in a thud. My mom was standing at the door with a tired look on her face.
"Nevaeh please take your sister before I pop her. She's been giving me attitude ever since she came back from school"
My mom said. She said bye to everyone, except for Myra, then left. What did Myra do now? I swear she's going to be the death of my parents.
"When mom gets older I'm putting her in a retirement home"
"The person who gave birth to me isn't going to be tortured in a old people home. She can stay with me and Sil.... I mean my future husband"
Silas pinched my butt causing me to squeal. I rubbed my butt on him making him stiff. He's lucky I didn't touch him.
"Now tell me what happened"
She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. She's acting like she's about to tell us that she's pregnant. How hard is it to be a ten year old?
"So there's this boy named Andrew and I gave him my number. Later on today he sent this to me"
I wish I had this problem when I was ten. When I was her age I didn't even know what liking someone was. The only boy I knew was Oliver from Hannah Montana.
"I'm going to die"
She said dramatically. A boy liking her is a bad thing? I wish her problems were mine.
"How about you act like a ten year old and don't get involved with boys. You're too young"
She knows I'm right. If my parents find out that's the reason she's giving them attitude her phone is gone. Not to mention that my dad is crazy.
"How about I make you some food?"
Silas asked peaking his head from behind me. Myra's face light up as she violently shook her head.
"Please Silas no greasy food. We're trying to eat healthy"
The whole room became silent. They're acting like I never ate anything healthy beofre. I ate a broccoli today even though it was added in the pasta I ate. It's the thought that counts.
"What did you eat for lunch today Neaveh?"
"Aged organic milk tossed over seasoned tomatoes puree spread on bake whole wheat"
"What is that?"
"A pizza"
I whispered. Silas is always telling my business to people. What if I wanted to sound healthy even though I eat like a grown man? This is why he's not sleeping with me tonight.
While the girls were talking I held Everly and Silas went off to cook dinner. Once he heard Tristan's name he came running back to us.
"Silas, you're going to burn the shrimp. If the shrimp burns I'm sleeping in the guest room"
He groaned and got off the couch. He dragged his feet back to the kitchen and got back to making the dinner.
He should do what I do whenever I hear tea. I slightly lean my head towards the tea so I can hear it.
After many trips from the kitchen to the living room Silas managed to finish dinner without burning anything. If he did I would've ordered pizza for the kids and make him eat it.
Silas made lobster tail, shrimp, and macaroni with red and green peppers.
While we were in the middle of eating the doorbell rung. I had to go get it since Silas was eavesdropping on his little sister's conversation.
"Hell...."
My smile immediately dropped as I saw them. Silas's parents stood in front of the door with wide smiles on their faces while they slightly twitched.
"What do you two want?"
"We want to talk to our kids"
The lady answer. This is my first time seeing her in person since she's always at 'work'. We all know that's a lie. She has white power under her nose as we speak.
"Neaveh who is it?"
Silas asked as he walked up behind me. He caught a glimpse at his parents and rolled his eyes. I'm guessing I'm not the only one tired of them.
"Before you say anything we're just here to meet Jordan and talk to you guys"
His dad quickly said when he noticed Silas slowly closing the door. The kids came running to us with Everly crawling after them.
"Is this her?"
His dad asked with a nonchalant tone. His face looked rather disgusted than happy. I feel bad for her. Her own parents don't care about her.
"Who are these people?"
She asked as she looked up at Silas. He sighed and bend down to her level. He kissed her forehead than put her behind him.
"Jordan we're your parents"
"Silas is the only parent I have"
She said behind Silas. She stepped from behind him and looked at her 'parents' up and down. I can tell she doesn't like having them here.
"Well you're adopted. I'm pretty sure Silas didn't tell you that"
He said with a hint of amusement in his voice. Silas was about to attack him if I didn't crab his arm. Sometimes he acts like a animal.
"What? I'm adopted? Why didn't anyone tell me"
Jordan said dramatically. Her parents looked at Silas with a smirk on their face as if they won.
"I guess you can't trust Silas. So you'll come with us right?"
She walked up to her dad and eyed him. Her mom stood next to the man with a fake smile on her face. Jordan kicked them on the leg and ran back to Silas.
"The fact that I'm adopted would have affected me if Silas didn't tell me once I turned five. Because you think I'm dumb it makes you look retarded"
Jordan said as she rolled her eyes. The fact that they used her being adopted as a way to make her mad at Silas is sad. They're her parents for God's sake.
"Why did you come here Christina and Bob?"
Silas asked as he crossed his hands over his chest. Everly sat on the floor copying Silas stance. I picked her up and kissed her forehead.
"We were just wondering if we can stay with you for a couple if days"
He said with a fake smile. I would think they're Emily's parents since everything about them is fake.
"Fuck n...."
"You guys can stay"
Jordan said. Everyone looked down at her in shock. She said that she'll like to know her parents since they've been gone for nine years of her life.
"Are you sure Jordan?"
"Yes, I'm sure"
Both their parents walked into the house and immediately started looking around the place. I could see greed in their eyes.
I hope she made the right choice.
