Backstory Time!!!

Eliza Knight wasn't always Eliza Knight, what no one knows is that she has a twin. Jade West! They were inseparable, until one faithful day their mom heard Ella sing and posted it. Few days later a music producer comes to their home and offers her a once in a lifetime opportunity. Fearing leaving her family behind, Jade reassured her that no matter how far away they are from each other, they will always be in each others heart.

At the age of 9, Ella said goodbye to her twin and her friends as she made her way to Stardom! After releasing multiple albums, 2 platinum records and getting asked to be on a new tv drama: Big Time Rush!

Ella decided to take a break from her tour and visit home.

Riding in her limo, Ella fidgeted with her skirt as she watched the world pass by her window. Mr. Knight, her biological father, turned his head and saw how nervous his daughter was.

"Now sweetie, I know you're nervous, but there is no reason for you too be." Mr. Knight says putting his arm around her shoulder.

"I know. . . but I was supposed to see my twin before we got home. I promised her." Ella replied.

"Don't worry, I already took care of it. I can't wait for you to see your new home." Mr. Knight says.

"Umm. . can I ask you something?" Ella asks.

"Of course." Mr. Knight answers,

"Are you mad. . at mom. . for.. you know?" Ella asks.

"Oh, my little mystery, no matter what happened back then, you know your mothers 2 favorite mottos

"Thanks. . dad." Ella replied hugging him.

They pasted by Hollywood Arts, and made their way to their new home. Now since Mr. Knight will be busy working he will not be home as often as he wishes, but he hired a staff to take care of Ella as he will be checking on her frequently.

The limo pulls to a stop as the driver opened the door for them. Giving his daughter a hand, Ella saw her new home.

"I hope you like it. Privacy, no neighbors, a stable, a beautiful view and right on the beach." Mr. Knight says.

"It's perfect." Ella replied clapping her hands in front of her mouth.

"Anything for my little star." Mr. Knight says hugging his daughter from the side and kissing her temple.

"Now, the staff is here to take care of you. I know you hate being waited on, but just let them do their job. They are only here to make sure your depression doesn't act up, and more importantly to make sure you eat. They will inform me immediately if something happens. Well, go check out your room, I have to sign some papers." Mr. Knight explains. Ella jump hugs her dad as she then ran up to the door excited, said hello to the staff: 2 female caretakers(Female version of Alfred), 1 gardener, 1 stable manager.

Opening the door, Ella made her way to her new room.

Ella put her bag by the window seat as she admired everything around her. Grabbing her sketchpad, Ella sat on her new window seat and just drew for hours.

When dinner came, one of her caretakers entered her room to inform her about dinner. Walking down the stairs to her island kitchen, there were two placemats.

"I guess dad is working?" Ella asks.

"Yes miss Ella, we are sorry to say." her other caretaker answered.

"Then why are there two?" Ella asks. Both caretakers, Ms. Rose and Ms. Angie, smiled at her.

"Don't tell me you don't want to have dinner with your favorite twin?" A voice answered from behind. Ella's eyes widened as she turned around and saw the one person she wanted to see in 5 years.

"Jade!" Ella shouts excited.

"Welcome home." Jade replied as they both hugged each other.

They talked for hours as they were both given food. After several hours of laughing and catching up, Jade talked about the gang(before Tori).

"Wow, a lot has changed. Is Cat's hair still red?" Ella asks.

"Yeah, she posted on the Slap the reason she dyed it was because the color reminded her of a red velvet cupcake." Jade answered.

"That is Cat for ya." Ella replied. They made their way to Ella's room as they continued talking. Jade stayed the night as she helped Ella set up her Slap account.

"Almost, I wanted to post that selfie of us first." Ella answered as she changed into a simple navy blue sleep tank and dark grey shorts.

Mood: Ecstatic and Tired

Ella put her phone on the charger and set that selfie of her and Jade as her background and then placed her phone down and went to sleep next to Jade.

Jade felt her phone vibrate and looked to see new messages.

Slap:

BeckOliver: Hey, JadeWest, who's that girl that tagged you?

BeckOliver: Who is that girl?

JadeWest: One; BeckOliver, take a breath and put down the coffee, Two; you'll find out soon ;)

BeckOliver: JadeWest, your mysterious tonight. You're not gonna tell me?

JadeWest: I promise you will find out soon, just go to sleep.

They both put their phones down as Jade looked over at Ella sleeping peacefully. Giving a smile, Jade felt happiness, a feeling only Ella could make her feel, laying down and wrapping her arms around her sis's waist, sleep consumed her.

The next day, Jade decided to drive Ella to school after helping pick out her outfit.

"You ok? You've barely drunk your Green Tea." Jade asks.

"I don't think I've ever been this nervous before, and I've sung in front of the Queen of England." Ella answered.

"Don't be, I told none of our friends that you're back so we could surprise them. Plus you have no reason to be nervous." Jade says.

"What if their mad that I'm back. I did just up and leave all those years ago." Ella replied.

"Their not gonna be mad, after all we did keep track  concert and saw your performances. I'm so proud of, for getting up there and being yourself." Jade says.

"What makes you think I can handle Hollywood Arts?" Ella asks.

"If you can handle me as a kid, and grow up to be this amazing singer who's not afraid to sing her heart out on stage. You can handle. . this." Jade answered pulling into the school's parking lot.

"Well, here goes nothing." Ella says as they get out and walk to the door. Upon walking through the door, Jade helped Ella through the hallway as they went to Lane's office. When they walked in, Lane was surprised.

"How can I help you Jade?" Lane asks.

"Lane, this is Ella. My twin. She is taking a break from her tour to go to high school." Jade starts.

"And we're here to talk to you about. . .my issues." Ella finishes.

"Ok, talk me to girls." Lane replied.

"While growing up, after every flight from nation to nation, then state to state. . . basically every time I get off the plane I had to take a test. You see, I have ADHD, anxiety and depression. I used to take medicine for it, but I got off it over time. I had this file that my dad said to give to the councilor. It explains everything." Ella states.

"Of course. So, I will put this file in the records and when your schedule gets made, I will email the teachers so they know. For today, you can shadow Jade get a feel for this school and show you your locker." Lane explains.

"Ok. I really appreciate you for listening to me, Lane." Ella replied.

"Not a problem, Ella. If you ever feel uncomfortable or if anything happens you are more then welcome to come and talk to me. Now Jade will show you to your locker." Lane says showing them out.

Nodding in agreement, Ella and Jade walked back out into hallway and found her locker. It was to the right of someone's locker than was actually a keyboard.

"OK, so what did Lane mean by design my locker?" Ella asks as she input her code.

"It's a Hollywood Arts tradition. You think of a design for your locker, just like everyone else's." Jade answered leaning against the locker on Ella's left.

"Ok, that would explain a few things." Ella replies.

"So, you got any ideas?" Jade says.

"I think I do." Ella replied as the bell rings.

"Good. Now let's get to class." Jade says showing her the way.

"I shadow you." Ella replied in a joking matter as they laugh to class. Jade opens the door to see Andre and Cat talking to Sikowitz, who was in fact the drama teacher.

"Hi Jade!" Cat greets excitedly.

"Hi!" Jade greets back but less excited.

"Sup Jade. Who's that?" Andre asks, clueless. Ella facepalmed as she felt a little hurt, but decided to roll it off.

"Oh, please tell me you did not just say that?" Jade asks a little annoyed, but was really just acting. Andre gulped at her anger.

"Oh come on Andre, you don't remember me? I'm a little offended." Ella replied revealing her face to the two of them with a smile plastered across her face. Andre and Cat's eyes widen with shock as they slightly squeal and cheer as they rushed over and hugged her tightly.

"I missed you guys too. But I need to breath." Ella told them breathless. They instantly let go as the air returned to her lungs.

Ella's p.o.v.

When they let me go, the air finally returned to my lungs as I coughed for the next 15 seconds. I told them not to worry since they used to do it when we were kids. I was really excited to see them again. Cat was adorable as she had her hair up in a pony tail same as Andre with his dreads.

"It's so good to see you again Ella." Cat said to me.

"It's good to be back." I replied to them relieved to not feel so alone in this crazy school.

"So when did you get back?" Andre asks me.

"Should I tell them?" I thought to myself as I openly my mouth slightly, "I got back a while ago. But I was busy with meetings with my f-. . .   -manager! Yeah, we had to discuss a way for me to stay on top while going to high school." I explain the best I could.

"So, what's the plan? Are you gonna go back on tour after a certain amount of time?" Andre asks. My eyes widened from shock as I kept thinking to myself.

"Do I want to go back on tour? What if I accept the offer to join Big Time Rush? How long would I be gone for this time? I can't. . .I want something normal in my life and traveling around the world has opened my mind. I need this, to be at school with my friends and my twin. I don't need fame or fans, all I need is my family." 

"I haven't thought about it, I was thinking of just seeing what happens until something comes to me. But for now, I will get to enjoy being a normal kid." I say.

I saw their eyes widen from curiousness and my favorite emotion. . . . . fear.

Normal p.o.v.

"Wait, so, you're going to school here?" Andre asks trying not to be rude.

"Of course, where else would I be able to hangout with my Twin?" Ella asks back with an innocently, but slightly evil smile on her face as she hugged Jade on her right.

"That means...?" Andre trailed off with realization.

"That's right." Jade starts, "You guessed it." Ella seconds, "We're back!" The twins say in sync slightly creepy but happy.

Soon enough the bell rings. Jade pulled Ella down to her chair as they watched the teacher come back in.

"Alright class, we have a lot to discuss, mostly about improv, but more importantly I want to address that we might have a new student joining us here at Hollywood Arts." Sikowitz explained.

Jade quickly glances at Ella who was glancing right back at her. Then heard the door open, revealing. . Beck.

"Sorry I'm late. My last class took longer then we thought in the black box." Beck explained.

"Thank you Beck. Now I have to explain everything again." Sikowitz replied.

"Explain what?" Beck asks sitting near the front with Robbie and Rex on his right and Andre on his left.

"We might have a new student attending the school?" Robbie answered.

"New student?" Beck questions.

"Yes, but it's not official yet, but I will state that she is famous." Sikowitz states.

"What a cowinkedink. We have a friend who's famous, and she is a female." Cat replied happily. (I have no idea how she spelt that in her lines, but it's that funny coincidence word that Ariana Grande used. Forgive me.)

Jade and Ella's eyes widen as Ella pulled her hood up and Jade whispered something to Andre. Before Cat could reveal anything, Andre covered her mouth with his hand. Jade waited for the bell as class was not as long as usual. Grabbing Ella and rushing out of there, Jade stopped at her locker to text Andre. Then decided to blow off class to show Ella around the school.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to blow off class? We could just. . . " Ella says but was but off by Jade.

"Hey, I wanted you to have a calm day as you shadow me around, but with Cat and Andre knowing your back it's only a matter of time before you're bombarded by paparazzi." Jade says. Ella's eyes were slightly filled with sadness as she held back her tears.

"Is it a bad thing. . . for me to be famous?" Ella softly asks. Jade eyes widen a bit as she then felt guilt. Wrapping her arms around her sister, she soothed her.

"No, it's not. You have every right to be happy that you are who you are today. I couldn't be more proud of the amazing twin you've become." Jade answered. Ella smiled at her sister as she gets a text.

[texting]

Beck: Hey, you just rushed out of class in a hurry? Everything alright?

Beck: Also who was that you dragged out with you?

Jade quickly came up with a lie

Jade: Just someone who's shadowing me today. Don't worry about it.

Beck: Ok, just don't kill the poor student. ;)

Jade: Whatever, besides you're about to have a spit take with your coffee.

As Jade waited for Beck to reply, what the twins didn't know what that Beck was leaning against the lockers with Andre.

[texting]

Beck: Why?

Jade: Just wait and see. Trust me. . it's worth it.

Beck: What do you mean by that?

[end of texting]

Jade smirks as she grabbed Ella's hand and they walked away from her locker, as they once again, didn't notice that Andre and Beck saw them.

After skipping the next 3 classes, Jade lead Ella to a table with signature coffee cups in both their hands. At the table, Cat was talking with Andre as he was trying to explain to her why he stopped her in class today.

"I still don't understand." Cat says.

"That the understatement of the decade." Jade mutters, the others didn't hear except Ella who nudges her side.

"Understand what?" Ella asks.

"Why you didn't announce yourself in Sikowitz class? Don't you want everyone to know your back?" Cat asks back.

"Help me out here." Andre begs.

"Cat, I maybe famous, but the truth is I don't like all the attention. How, now matter where I go, people only see me as Ella Knight, overnight sensation, voted world's most beautiful natural voice." Ella explains, pauses, "People don't see me as Ella West Knight. Not since I left all those years ago." Ella finishes as Jade wrapped her arm around Ella's side.

"Ella. . . " Cat and Andre start to apologize, but were suddenly cut off,

"It's fine. I'm gonna get a refill. Be right back." Ella replied getting up and walking away.

"I feel bad." Cat says.

"Same here. I never knew she felt that way." Andre replied.

"Yeah, when we were kids she would only sing to me. But then she built up the courage to sing to our parents. Long story short, that first time in front of our parents is the reason she was discovered." Jade explained.

"Who was discovered?" Beck asks appearing out of nowhere and sitting down between Jade and Andre.

"Oh. . uh." Jade tried to play it off cool as Ella secretly snuck behind them and listened in.

"Jade." Cat says gaining her attention.

"We can't hide it from him forever." Andre explained.

"Hide what?" Beck asks still confused.

Jade sighs in defeat, "Beck. . Ella is back." Jade revealed.

"Wait, your twin Ella?" Beck asks curious but little sarcastic.

"No, Kristen Stewart's character from Twilight. Yes, my twin." Jade said with sarcasm. Beck raised his eyebrow.

"Why would you try to hide that from me?" Beck asks feeling hurt. Ella could feel the hurt coming off him as she was about to intervein but was interrupted.

"She was nervous about being back, and didn't know if you guys would be mad at her since she left to become an overnight sensation. And now she's back, so I just wanted to help her adjust first so that she could be the one to tell you all that she's back." Jade finished.

"Really?" Andre asks. Jade nods. They all felt bad as Ella knew how to make it right, so she waited for the right moment as she placed her hands on her hood ready to step into the spotlight.

"Well, do you think she'll reveal herself to us?" Beck asks.

"Why don't you ask her yourself?" Ella asks back as she pulled her hood down as they all turned to see Ella standing behind her. Jade smiled proud, as Cat and Andre smile happy. While Beck was in shock, taking in her presence.

"Hey everyone. I'm back~" Ella said holding the last word to sound like one of the scary twins, but with a  sweet tone. Jade smiled evilly as she knew what was in store for her and her friends. Before anyone could say anything about the scary look in her eyes, Beck got up and hugged Ella. He spun her around happily. Surprised at first, but then hugged him back. 

"Glad to have you back." Beck said to her softly so only Ella could hear him.

"Glad to be back." Ella replied to him.

"Hey everyone, Ella Knight is at Hollywood Arts!" A random students shouted gained everyone's attention. Especially the gangs, "Ut oh!" Ella said sternly. Ella turned her head from Beck's chest as she saw everyone looking around and some eyes landed on her.

"There she is!" A fangirl shouts. "Oh boy!" Andre said.

"Ella?" Jade concerned, asks holding her name, wondering what she's gonna do.

"In the famous words of my acting coworkers that I have worked with-

Time to exit stage left

Eep!" Ella squeaks as she then ran off. 

The gang watched her run as the students run after her. "Should we be worried?" Andre asks concerned.

"I don't think so, she runs very fast. Plus I told her I can track her phone if anything happens. Worse case scenario, she finds a place to hide and I go pick her up." Jade answered calmly, also knowing that her sister can take care of herself, but still slightly worried.

During the rest of school, Jade would remind everyone that Ella was alright. She stopped moving on the Pearmap, which concluded that she was hiding. Beck was entranced seeing her again, but also annoyed since their first encounter got interrupted.

At the end of the day, Jade texted everyone that she found Ella and took her home. They were relieved that she was ok and asked if she would come back tomorrow.

Jade had pulled into Ella's long driveway as they got out and were immediately greeted by her staff. Upon entering, Ella kindly asked for several bowls of strawberries as well as Green Tea, while asking for some Wahoo Punch and some grapes for Jade.

After sitting in her room for hours, Jade finished her homework while Ella just drew in her sketchpad. Jade finally broke the silence to address the intense elephant in the room.

"Hey, you alright Ella?" Jade asks.

"Yeah, I kind of expected that to happen, don't worry I'm-" Ella tried to answer, but was cut off.

"Eliza! Don't give me that. I know you better than you think. I know when your happy, sad, mad, and everything in between. You know I hate it when you don't tell me these things." Jade said calmly but sternly. Ella knows that Jade would only call her Eliza when she was serious. Ella consciously exhaled as she knew it wouldn't end well if she didn't tell her exactly what was wrong.

"Honestly. . . I was hoping I could get through 24 hours without being recognized. Don't get me wrong, I love that people like my music, and they love my appearance in Big Time Rush, I love being who I am, but..." Ella trailed as she tried to figure out what to say next.

"But?" Jade asks softly,

"Some times, I hate being famous. The constant screams that give me headaches, having to run away so I don't get trampled and abused. Ending up with me nearly passing out and having to pig out of calories so I don't die. And don't get me started on people asking me for favors so they can make themselves famous and just leave me in the dirt. I thought I could handle the cons of being famous, and BTR really did help me with that. While shooting with them, with the occasional bloopers, those boys really became my brothers. While I enjoyed getting onstage and singing my heart out, I- I almost hated it!" Ella answered gritting her teeth on that last bit. Jade's eyes widen, but she knew there was more.

"I hated the attention, I hated that people didn't care that I was uncomfortable about people being in my bubble. I hated that people didn't care about my feelings when I told them I wouldn't do them any favors. I hated when people would volunteer me for things when it was clear I wasn't interested. I specially hated the fact that boys would throw themselves at me when I told them that I wasn't interested. I especially hated the attention when I had to shout at people to get the fuck away from me!" Ella had explained, then suddenly expressed her rage, then finally shouted as she then stopped and looked at Jade.

Jade's eyes were wide open, as she had a worried look on her face. Before either of them said anything, Jade slowly moved closer to Ella as she gently reached for her cheek. Wiping the tears that had shed down from Ella's eyes. Seeing the tears on Jade's hand, Ella didn't even realize, that she had snapped. Leaping into her twins arms, Ella sobs into Jade as she soothed her by rubbing her back.

"I'm so tired of it all, I'm sick of it. I'm so sick of it Jade!" Ella sobs to her sister, who knew that she wouldn't leave her in this vulnerable state, and would never show this side to anyone else.

"Its' ok Ellie. You don't have to hold it in anymore. You don't need to be brave for me. From now on, you don't have to show this side to anyone else but me. I won't let anyone hurt you as long as you go to Hollywood Arts. When you walk through those doors, I want you to show everyone who you are, by singing your heart out and putting yourself out there as you act on that stage. You deserve to be here, more than all of those idiots. Especially that irritating, talentless, Vega. This is your dream, Ella, don't be afraid to step into the spotlight." Jade told her sincerely as Ella took those words to heart. 

After cleaning up, changing into their sleepwear, eating the food, watching their favorite movie "The Scissoring", Ella noticed Jade had fallen asleep. About to fall asleep herself, Ella's phone beeps. Picking it up on instinct, it was a text, not on the Slap.

unknown: hey, glad to know Jade found you. You both make it home ok?

Ella: depends on who's asking. My father had a private contractor make my phones system impervious to hackers so it is literally impossible to get this number, unless two reasons occurred. You know someone who already had my number, or you stole my phone to get it. So should I ask who this is or immediately contact the police?

unknown: ouch, and after all this time I thought you missed me?

Ella: hmm... seeing the sarcasm I can only think of two people who would reply to that.

unknown: I got all night

Ella: Andre?

unknown: close, but if you say Robbie or Cat, your cold :)

Ella smiled when it hit

Ella: Hey Beck

*Ella changed the contact's name to Beck*

Beck: You guessed it E! So, are you ok? Jade only told us that you were fine since she didn't exactly know what was occurring.

Ella: I'm fine. I managed to get away from the crowd. The one thing I dislike in the entire world just has to be part of the "Being an overnight sensation" package. If it happens again tomorrow I may not be able to handle going to Hollywood Arts.

Beck: Hey, don't let that stop you. We won't let anyone make you uncomfortable. It'd be awesome for you to come to H.A.!

Ella: "We?"

Beck: Jade, Andre, Cat and I. We all want you here. . .with us. I don't know if Jade told you this or not, but you are not like every other singer I've ever met. You have an amazing voice that is not afraid to come out and speak what's on your mind. You have this feeling in your heart that let's your kindhearted, compassionate, admirable side that's not afraid to come out to those she cares about. Even when something scares you, you always hold yourself together long enough to face it head on. And when something. . . *bad* happens, you always stand tall and your not afraid to look death right in the eye to stand up for your friends. That determination alone is one of the many qualities that show you belong here. You belong here, Ella. You really do.

Ella was blushing like crazy when she read the text. His heartfelt words she hasn't seen or heard in years had made her heart skip beats. What was this feeling in Ella's heart that only Beck could make her feel?

Beck: Hey, Ella. You there? Did I say something wrong?

Ella: No, you're fine. I will be making an announcement to the whole school tomorrow. Everyone will listen, and listen good. The only thing I have left to say. . . 

Ella: Look out Hollywood Arts, here comes Ella West Knight! 🤩

Beck: You're confidence is ever so enlightening, E! I'll see you tomorrow, get some sleep.

Ella: Good night Beck. Sleep well. ;)

Ella smiled as she put her phone down and went to sleep. Proud knowing exactly what she was going to do.

After waking up Ella told Jade her plan as they went to get caffeine before Ella put her plan into action. She stood in the auditorium(similar to the Black Box Theater, but for all the students who attend H.A.), and gave a heart warming speech how she will be attending the school under the conditions listed below;

-treated fairly

-no favors, unless deemed necessary

-no sucking up

-respected privacy

-and will be assisting the future talented stars as she will mostly be an assistant for the teachers, which basically means less homework... but they didn't know about that part that she conveniently left out!

Ella had lunch with her friends as some girls came over calmly and asked for an autograph, acknowledging their calmness Ella granted their request. For the next few months, Ella offers her opinion on becoming a star and taught the students how to see their mistakes so they could fix them. 

Ella would hangout with the gang as they occasionally chase off Trina who constantly bugged her as she felt herself growing more comfortable. Beck would offer rides for Ella, but she kept her home life secret, by making them think that she lived with Jade. 

Ella helped others make it shine, and now it was someone else's time to shine.

This story will be dedicated to Big Time Rush and Victorious as those two shows have brought out my love of music. So through this story, I will be using references from those shows and a few others, just wait and see.
