Summary: Ellie's crush on Dina and me writing some more around it

Her crush had started when she had first seen the girl, Dina. She hadn't really known who it was and she had thought she was a bit rude when the girl had stared at them. So yes she had reacted to it but she also felt like maybe the girl would be a good friend for her if they would be coming back.

But when they left Jackson Ellie began to think more about the girl. Mostly because in the time they had been there she had gotten to know more about the children there and had met some of them. A few of them had been Cat, Jesse and the girl. Who was called Dina.

When they had left Ellie began to think more about the children there. And she sort of felt like she had some sort of feelings for Dina. But she also felt like she shouldn't have a crush on DIna because of the fact that she still wasn't really over Riley and how she died. But she also felt like she had to sort of begin to accept that Riley wasn't alive anymore.

After Joel got hurt Ellie didn't really think about the teenagers but more about surviving it all. She also hadn't really thought about the fact that she was in fact a lesbian and that she needed to tell Joel about this somewhat soon.

However she was somewhat occupied after all the stuff that had been happening to her and what happened to her. So she didn't really think about it until after the hospital. After the hospital she had been somewhat weaker because of the tests they had been doing on her and she hadn't really been able to talk but when the car broke down she felt like she should say something to Joel about the stuff that happened to her.

And this brought her to the story of the time when she had been bitten and that she hadn't been alone. And that the person with her had also been bitten and that she had loved the girl that had been with her. Joel had been accepting and in turn had begun to talk about Sarah. Something Ellie had really liked because it made her think of the girl that could have been someone she had wanted to know the moment she heard about the girl and came to know it had been Joel's little girl.

After all that talk Ellie also began to think back about the teenagers and she felt like she still had the crush on Dina. But she also felt bad about this because of Riley and how they had been best friends and even lovers for some time and she felt somewhat guilty about this because she felt like she would forget about Riley. When she told Joel about this Joel reassured her that the loved ones never really leave but that the pain will fade away a bit more at some point.

This can take a long time and it will be okay to hurt whenever you think about your loved ones but it shouldn't affect the adventures and things you do outside of your life. So either live your life knowing that the loved one will be there in the end or hurt long enough to let it consume you but let it be known that if you let it consume you the loved ones that are still alive will hurt because of it.

So in the end Ellie began to slowly accept that her friend was dead but she would never forget about her but most of all the crush on Dina would develop at some point in more. And Joel and her other family would be there for her when she would fall fully in love with her because she knew that they would be good together but also because she felt like in the end that she would become good friends with the other teenagers in the village. Something she was somewhat afraid of but also excited about.
