Mukesh Textile Mills, one of the oldest and largely established factory, is situated just besides  the Main Sassoon Docks market in southern Mumbai. It was a working place, full of people, until the year 1982 when it was closed due to a year long textile mill strike.

The mill became an abandoned haunted place after a sudden fire breakdown which tend to kill hundreds of labourers working in there. The place now serves as an excellent location for shooting Bollywood horror movies.

However, some directors as well as actors refuse to shoot here after the darkness takes over. Many of them have even experienced some strange paranormal activities while shooting. A TV actress is said to to have been possessed by the ghost which ordered them to leave the place at once.

The veteran actor Mr. Amitabh Bacchan, also shared his experience there while shooting for a song from the movie 'Hum'. Many people dare to spend the night in the mill premises to experience the unknown, but have reportedly been dead or came out as psychic or possessed beings.

A deadly place if you really want to experience spookiness as an adventure ride.
