♤Alcor♤ (what a surprise)

We've spent the last couple days trying to figure out what was going on, but ever since we tried to preform the spell in Mary's mind she hasn't woken up. I have a feeling she will soon, but I'm not sure.

Theres still a war going on and I need to get caught up on whats happened since I've been gone. The stress has been getting to me, and no one knows what to do.
Usually I would be able to figure it out pretty quick but I've been gone for so long it'll take a while for me to fully get back into the swing of things.

Bill has also noticed the stress I've been going through, he wants to help but he still needs to regain his lost energy.

I'm just taking a short break in the library to think for a minute before I get back to work. I've been thinking of why the spell that attacked Bill is in her mind, but I've only thought of a few reasons.

She could've put it there herself and forgot to tell us, she could be being controlled by someone and they put it there to prevent us from finding out, or she didn't forget about it and didn't tell us because she has stuff she wants to hide.

The first one doesn't seem right because she's never been forgetful about these things, and the third one doesn't seem likely because she knows we wouldn't have gone through her memories. And she used to trust me full heartedly.

But who would want to control her?

I thought for a moment and only came up with three suspects. Two of them didn't like her and the other doesn't like the high court at all. The spirit of negativity, Odium, is self explanatory, the Godess of magical creatures, Arietes, dislikes her for an unknown reason, and the God of the sun, ílios, doesn't like us because he's jealous of our authority.

I'm not sure why Ílios would start a war through her though, mabey to protect his own image? That would make sense. But what do we do about it? He's already got a powerful spell on her mind and I doubt she would cooperate with us again. And then when we free Mary, we still have to deal with Ílios, cause I doubt he would be dumb enough to have his death break the spell.

He may be below us power wise, but this spell must have taken the cooperation of another powerful God.

I should talk to Bill about it, mabey he could help me sort throught my thoughts.

I got up from my chair and made my way to mine and Bill's room.

I opened the door and saw Bill reading a book on our bed, I walked over and sat down at the edge of the bed, sighing in the process. "What's up pinetree?" Bill asked putting his book down and looking at me. "I've come up with a few theories as to whats been going on, Mary could have forgotten about the spell, which I doubt, she could be hiding something, which she knows we wouldn't have gone through her memories, or she could be being controlled by a third party." I ran my fingers through my hair  as I spoke" the people who could be controlling her are Odium, but he isn't strong enough to cast a spell like that, Arietes, which we don't even know if her motive is strong enough to warrant this, and Ílios. He makes more sense but even if it is him, then how do we remove the spell? He somehow managed to double the power of the spell without completely draining himself, and the exact spell used is still unknown. " I finished my rant and just layed down, my head ending up by Bill's knees.

"Wow, you've really been thinking a lot, haven't you?" Bill said smirking, I just scoffed at his remark.
"I think that sounds reasonable, about Ílios I mean, he had been giving us some trouble before all this happened. I wouldn't put it too far past him to do this just for the sake of his ego."
Bill sat up against the headboard and motioned for me to join him.
I sat up and crawled next to him, leaning my head on his shoulders.

"We should probably scan her for traces of his magic, he probably used another spell to hide it but its worth a try. And if it was him that did this we need to figure out what spell he used and how to break it." Bill stated as he put his arm around me, "But first there is another matter concerning the palace, it seems like half of the army stationed there have left, we don't know where they went or why they left but we believe they're planning something."

I just sighed again at this, I was already starting to get a headache from all the stress, " Its there anyone prominent still remaining?" I asked
"I believe Sir Stultus is still there."
"Well at least its someone easy to deal with. He's not very bright so driving him and his men out shouldn't be too hard."

We sat there for a few more minutes before getting up and heading towards Mary's chambers. Bill had recovered most, if not all, of his energy so I let him tag along.
Once we got there the guard at the door let us in and we went over to where Mary was laying. She hadn't woken up yet, which I find to be a good thing now, it makes it easier to scan.

As I pulled a good amount of my magic to my hand it started glowing a light golden colour, and I hovered my hand over her a few times to try and sense even the slightest bit of magic that didn't belong to her. I wouldn't be as accurate due to the fact we can't go into her mind but it would be good enough.
Eventually I felt a slight deviation in her aura and I focused on the area, it was around her forehead, of course. I strengthened my magic a bit and thats when I felt it.

A light burning sensation covered my hand, like how it feels when you put your arm in the sun on a hot day. Clearly indicating that someone has indeed placed a spell on her. I got a slight glimpse of a light orange wisp of magic, confirming my suspicions that Ílios had done this. But strangley enough there was also a hit of coldness to this magic, and I could see streaks of blue and black throughout it. I've felt Ílios's magic before and its always warm or hot, which means he did get help from someone else. But who?

The spell reacted to my magic and tried to attack, but I had know this would happen becaise of last time and quickly pulled back.
"Did you feel something Alcor?" Bill asked from behind me, I turned to him " Ílios has indeed placed a spell on her with the help of someone else, now we just need to find out which spell it is. But I would rather do this in my library since it has more books than here, but to do that we need to take control of the palace back."

I thought for a second before looking at Bill " you up to a bit of fighting?"
He looked back at me with a sinister grin, "But of course my dear."

I informed Linea, Oliver, and Zachary of my plans and they agreed.
The next day we would make our way to the capital, then we, as in me and the rest of the kemleer, would sneak in and ambush the highest person of authority there, and proceed to wipe out the rest of the enemies after calling in the infantry. We knew that the main leaders in the war never actually stayed at the Palace, just using it as a place to hold more of their army. I'm just glad they mostly left the citizens alone.

We were preparing for the move and would be taking Mary with us, but keeping her hidden as we fought then placing her in the palace. It may seem too simple to be an actual battle plan but I'm just not giving all the details, you guys didn't come here just for battle tactics, right?

Anyway, I was helping some others put together their things to prepare for the fight. I'm not expecting it to be super easy, but it also shouldn't be too hard.
The others are glad to get out of this place since they miss the scenery at the palace.

We were just going to use a carridge to transport Mary, then me, the other Kemleer, and the generals, would be using horses. Everyone else would either be on a carridge or on foot.

It takes a day and a half to get to the palace from our current base, so we would have to set up camp somewhere along the way. We may not need much sleep but we do need rest.
We would set off in about and hour, then we would stop in a forest along the way for rest.

I was pacing around in my chambers, thinking of who Ílios's accompliss could be, when I heard a knock at the door. "Come in." Once I said that a guard walked in, he bowed as he stopped and said, "General Enfyr would like to speak with you."

"Send him in." I said as stopped pacing.
The guard stood up straight and walked out of the room, moments later another man in Armour appeared.
He had dark brown hair with grey streaks and a strong square chin. Chilling blue eyes matched a permanent frown on the man's face.

" Sir Enfyr, to what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked as he walked in and bowed before me, " I had to speak with you about the coming battle, your majesty," he spoke tersly when he rose " I am aware of the plan, but I think it best we hold off for another day. I do not doubt your abilities, but given the fact that you only recently returned and his majesty Bill having been drained of his magic only a few days prior, allowing at least another day for recovery would further garuntee victory.

"Plus it would give us more time to prepare and fix the plan as necessary."
He spoke quickly and with only little hesitation as he mentioned mine and Bill's condition. "Yes, I think that would be better. I got too ahead of myself, inform the others of this change, if you need me I'll be either here or in Mary's cell." I dismissed him, he bowed once more and exited the room.

I do need to take things a bit slower, I may have gained all my powers but I need to get used to them again. I started pacing again, lost in thought as to who could've helped Ílios. There are only a handful of gods on the same level as Ílios powerwise, and none above him. But then again it could be that we aren't dealing with a God at all. There are plenty of other species that have weiled powerful beings, but none I know that are on par with the gods.

Is there yet an undiscovered race? That could be possible, there are many universes they could be hiding in. I know its not another Kemleer, there are only 8 of us and I know for sure the others wouldn't do this. All I can do now though is hope that my library in the palace will hold some knowledge of the spell placed on Mary.

Mabey I can talk to the other Kemleer about the unknown accompliss.
For now though, im going to bed, I need the rest and mabey something will come to me in my dreams.
I get into something more comfortable and get into bed. I close my eyes and relax as I wait for sleep to take me from the conscious world.

I'm tired
