We're Where?

The moment Percy awoke, he barely wanted to move. It felt as if he'd just run over every course Camp Half-Blood had to offer thrice. In other words, completely and utterly drained.

Percy groaned and grimaced as he tried to sit up. His head was pounding.

"Percy!" A girls voice called out to him through his hazy senses.

"Annabeth?" He asked blindly.

"No. I'm Holly." Percy blinked, confused. Dark hair swamped his view as Holly peered closer, trying to tell if he were fully there and not just sleep talking, like he had been once before. "What do you remember?"

"Remember?" He mumbled. It took him five minutes of straining through his memories and plenty of nagging on Holly's part.

"Oh." was all he said. "So you, uhm. Feel better then?"

"Yes. I don't know what it was, and it's hard to explain-"

"You're safe for now. That's all that matters. The rest we can talk about later when we get out of here."

Percy looked around the foreign room.

"Where... is here exactly?"

"That's the thing. I have no idea. But here, having powers are normal. Everyone has them. They aren't monsters. Trust me, I figured that out pretty quick. I don't think you want to know how."

Percy didn't doubt her. It didn't, however, make Percy feel any more at ease. Then where were they? How did they get here? How do they get back?

"Oh good. You're finally awake. How do you feel darling?" A woman remarked as she walked into what was clearly a hospital room. "I'm Nurse Aika." she added as an after thought.

"Sore. In pain. Tired. Aching. Uncomfortable and confused." Percy listed bluntly.

"That's understandable. You have managed to shatter your left leg and sprain the other. Your back has sustained extensive bruising and you've also managed to get a concusion. All of which as been swiftly treated."

"Yup. That'll do it." Percy groaned throwing his head back into the pillow. Then he realised something. "Wait, this doesn't feel like a shattered leg. How long have I been out?"

"About a day darling." Percy looked to Holly in alarm.

"They have this old lady here. She's really cool. She just gave you a kiss and suddenly your wounds started healing!" Percy's face flushed. Kissed?

"Right..." He couldn't think of much else to say. "Uhm, Miss..."

"Aika, darling."

"Miss Aika, when am I allowed to leave then?" Percy asked.

"She may have been able to heal most of you due to your enormous amounts of stamina, but you'll still need crutches for a while. You may be discharged tomorrow." Percy thanked the nurse and she left them in peace.

"You got kissed by an old lady." Holly sniggered.

"Shut up." Percy groaned.

"So, what do you suppose we do now?" Holly asked.

"I don't know." Percy watched Holly's face fall. He added hastily, "yet. I'll figure something out. I only just woke up."

Where is Annabeth when I need her?

"Oh, also I should warn you that the local police will be-"

"Hello, are you Percy?" Tsukauchi said, unknowingly interrupting a conversation.

"Dropping by." Holly finished lamely, waving a hand at the detective.

"Yeah, that's me." Percy replied, taking in the man's appearance.

He was tall and probably well built under the bulky detective coat he wore. It was a cliche type of material, with buttons running up the top left. The coat itself reached to just below the man's knees. A similar brown coloured fedora rested on his head. Under the coat, Percy could see a white blouse and a tie. His features were quite sharp.

"Who are you?" Percy asked.

"I am Detective Tsukauchi. I work with the local police here. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

"Depends on the questions." Percy responded stubbornly as the man removed his fedora and sat on the chair next to Holly. A mop of black hair was revealed.

"Let's start simple. What are your names?"

"I'm Percy, she's Holly." Tsukauchi nodded. He wanted make sure the boy, Percy would answer simple questions truthfully.

"How old are you." Percy blinked. Shouldn't they know this? Well. They did ask for our names.

"I'm seventeen and Holly is-" Percy paused. "Actually, how old are you Holly?"

"Fourteen." She sighed.

"Do the orange shirts mean anything in particular?" Tsukauchi thought back to the shirts both children wore. They couldn't find anything to match the mangled words on the shirt.

"Ah yeah. It's this camp that we go to in the Summer."

"I've been there longer." Holly butted in.

"You have not." Percy denied, shaking his head. Tsukauchi watched the banter in amusement. He figured it could cause no harm to let them argue a bit.

"I stay all year round! You stay for just the Summer!"

"I started going four or five years before you did!" Holly looked away crossly. He has not. She thought.

"Alright, moving on. Where are you from?"

"Where are we, would be a better question." Percy asked first.

Tsukauchi relented. "Musutafu."

Percy blinked.

"Japan." He elaborated.

Percy coughed. "Oh. I knew that." Japan? What?

Could it have been that black hole we fell through? Holly said everyone has special abilities. Are we even in the same world? Percy had to swallow his panic at the thought. No use letting these people know they were from a whole other universe. Thinking about it only made his headache grow.

"How did you end up in that ally?"

"Ally? What ally?" Percy frowned. The last thing he could recall was falling and then he woke up here.

"Percy was unconscious at the time, might I add." Holly explained. Not that it helped the situation any.

"Yes, that may be, but it doesn't explain how you both got there in the first place. In fact, it looked like you two fell from a high place. But there are no buildings tall enough to create that kind of damage. Not where we found you at least." Tsukauchi thought for a moment. "Unless one of your Quirks are flying?"

"Quirks?" Both demigods asked simultaneously.

"What do you mean 'Quirks?'. Everyone has them."

"Oh! Those superpowers everyone have!" Holly shouted, having figured it out for herself.

Tsukauchi frowned. How could they not know what Quirks are?

"Do you yourselves have Quirks?"

"I'm really competitive." Holly grinned.

"I don't think that counts." Tsukauchi said.

"Water."

"Water?"

"Water." Percy did not care to elaborate.

Tsukauchi took a deep breath. He was clearly not going to get very far. "Okay then. Do you have anyone we could contact? I'm sure your parents are very worried about you right now."

"Ah yeah, my mom." Percy said, scratching the back of his neck. He didn't even know if the number existed here.

"Do you have her number?" Tsukauchi pulled out a phone.

"I think I should call her myself." Percy said quickly. He fumbled for an excuse. "She ah, doesn't really like strangers calling. Especially her cellphone."

It wasn't a lie so much as a run down of the truth.

"Very well." Tsukauchi handed Percy his phone.

There was no answer. The automated female voice greeted him.

"This number is no longer in use. If you have-" Percy hung up.

"The number isn't working." He said glumly. Percy was pretty sure it wouldn't work, but he wanted to hold on to the slim hope that his mother would answer.

"Why not?" Tsukauchi asked. It was a stupid question that flew from his lips in impulse. He realised it right after he said it.

"I don't know why!" Percy snapped. He was frustrated and just wanted to get back.

Somehow.

At least I've still got my memory this time 'round. That's certainly a plus.

"I'll need to scan your fingerprints, find a match in the database. Maybe we'll find your mother and you can ask her what's up with her phone, okay?" Tsukauchi bargained.

Percy nodded sullenly. At the time he didn't even think about the fact that the two demigods only had half a set of DNA. That half of DNA didn't match anybody else in the world. Not the the police force could find. In this world, Percy and Holly were completely and totally alone.

But one thought stuck.

We need to find a way home.

~~~~
Hush now children. I am well aware that Percy and Holly speak English and Greek and pretty much, everyone else speaks Japanese, but we're just going to overlook that fact right now, okay? Okay?
Good.
Well, lemme know what you thought.
I can finally update more because my friend returned My Hero Academia B1 to me. I'd let them borrow it. I'm mostly following the manga, because much to my surprise I actually own the first 10 volumes.
Peace
