The Duchess of Rouvry (F)

Rouvry sits atop the northern border of Votara and has been dependent on their alliance for many generations. Rouvry maintains a snowy climate for 7-9 months of the year. This Duchess's father and mother have been instrumental supporters of the Votara royal family and have been given many allowances to govern over its people as they see fit. They are passive practitioners, fearing that non compliance may result in the demise of their civilization. (Sister of Duke of Rouvry)

Special Forces of Votara (F)

Her family have been military participants for many generations and are greatly decorated and patriotic. Their family name is well known among all in Votara. She currently serves as a member of the special forces unit with particular combat training and espionage. Her parents can be rather vocal about their distaste toward Ilythyrrians and the war of 1889.

Son of Votarian Advisor (M)

His father/mother have served as a keen advisor toward the royal family for decades and are trusted for their intelligence, fortitude, and observational skills. The family is well known among royals for being in disagreement of their work and policies when it seems warranted, which is more than most will do. Their lineage is credited for much of the success during the 1889 war of the split.

Wealthy Maiden (F)

Sometimes, money will get you anywhere. This family is well known throughout Votara because wealth has been in their lineage as far back as it can be traced. The history of favor with the royal family can wax and wane as viewed through the decades, but as of right now they are on neutral terms. It might be considered an insult not to invite this daughter to participate in this selection, as the family would insist their family name helped cultivate the country from the very start.

Prominent Child (M)

His mother / father are credited with creating the most renowned and beloved piece of art of the current century. The original hangs in the museum of art in the capital, but there are many like it around the country that inspire pride in its civilians. For this reason alone, the family name is well recognized. Before this parent's great success, there is no record of wealth or status.

Family Designs (F)

Her family is known for designing all of the wardrobe of the royal family and any wealthy enough to partake. Many of their themes are patriotic, following the black, red, and white design that represent Votara. The family has always been a bit mysterious, with rumors always buzzing about their hands and involvements in various other things.

Warden's of the East's son (M)

The Eastern territory which encapsulates the great estuary of Votara is governed by a warden(or wardeness) of which this is their son. The warden(ess) is said to be dutiful to the country and to the king as great friends. They are highly esteemed in their particular area and demand great respect for their governance.

Warden of the South's Daughter (F)

The Southern territory which includes the thick forest of 'the split', governed by the warden(or wardeness) of the south of which this is their daughter. The forest is thick and forbidden, with amazing tales and lore that involve it and Ilythyrria conspiracies. The warden(ess) is known to believe a lot of the conspiracies that spring forth about the split, even ones that suggest there are Ilythyrrian spies attempting to enter the country in this way.

Philosopher's Son (M)

Philosophy is another art that has planted itself and spread throughout Votara. This family name is known for a variety of philosophical and scientific contributions that have shaped history for the rest of the world, let alone the country. They are known for being deep thinkers and highly supportive of the union; however if this is true for their son is yet to be known. 

Ilythyrrian Roles

Naval Son (M)

This family name is known for being heavily decorated and acknowledged in the navy of Ilythyrria. They are patriotic and nearly mythical in lore and stories about sea travel. They love primarily in the susurmaa region but are well traveled in their country and others. They are known for having adventurous hearts.

Priest's Daughter (F)

This family have been known for leading the church of Ynos for many generations dating back centuries. They serve the royal family with advisory, and aid in meditation when they are needed. They are known for being wise and calm. However, rumors swirl about some supposed mystical powers.

Warden of the North's Son (M)

For this family, the father / mother are the warden(ess) by birthright of the north, which contains the thick forest of the the split. They are cordial with the royal family but can be critical, as they are not as familiar with them personally as generations of the past. They feel that the split should be cultivated area, as its full of abundance, though it is dangerous and some assume it unholy territory.

Defector's Daughter (F)

This family is first generation defectors from Votara. They disagreed with its rule in their territory and fled to Ilythyrria, cultivating enough wealth there to make them a prominent enough family to participate in the selection. They are obviously critical of Votara. Your character was just a young child when they crossed the split. Ilythyrria welcomes all refugees and some like to weaponize the fact that they left Votara. (sister to defector's son)

Wealthy Son (M)

This son comes from a family with immense wealth in Ilythyrria, and their family name is highly recognizable due to this fact alone, even. They have been known to be generous with their wealth, although rumors circulate of other intentions. They have one of the oldest family names in all of the country, traceable back to B.C.E.

Sea Lover's Daughter (F)

This daughter comes from a family who have historical stories of their lineage as pirates in the empirical sea to the south. They are known to travel out to sea for their leisure and back again to settle their roots against ilythyrrian sands. People love to come from far and wide to hear their tales of centuries old.

Conjurer's Son (M)

Settled in the middle of the country where the wind blows softly almost always, this is said to be a holy area in which this family can be located. His mother/father are said to be close spiritualists with the lord ynos and the lordess yktia. Whether they are actually so spiritual is left to speculation, but many come to them for prayers of prosperity, health, and even love.

Farmer's Daughter (F)

A humble family name that is widely known for providing many of the fresh fruits and vegetables that so many consume across the region. Despite their humble lives, they are actually quite wealthy and prominent through all communities for their contributions and directly serve the queen. What their true opinions of the monarchy are have always been incredibly secretive, or non existent.

Adventurer's Son (M)

This man's (mother/father) are known for being one of the only humans tp travel the treacherous mountains of the east (also known as the lord of darkness' territory) and survived. While many love to hear the stories of triumph, some speculate that they have sold their soul, or the soul of their son, to Edon.

Princess of old (F)

At one point in history, the republic of susurmaa had its own monarchy which has not existed for hundreds of years. However, the lineage of what once made up their royal family still exists in the last heir, which is she. They are well known, but have not had any say in the aspects of their territory for quite some time. Some rumor that they would like to change that.
