First, let me just say how TRULY sad and sorry about the long wait for this chapter; I'm pretty sure this is the second longest it's ever taken for a chapter to come out, right behind the time between the first and second chapter, meanwhile now I need less than 2K more reads until this reaches 400K reads.

I've been meaning to make this for a while now but have been busy and after I was done being busy, I was having trouble getting into the groove of writing again, but luckily... in my constant "being too lazy to read notifications on Wattpad" time, I just saw a comment telling me to write this, and that motivated me to write this chapter, so y'all can thank him.

I hope the wait was worth it! Also, this pic up top was done by me; I've been trying to learn to do Marie based off of memory alone, and this was my first time doing her body AT ALL. So, feel free to criticize, it helps me out.

Marina POV

Marina and (Y/N) were trying to eat lunch at the table, but having a slightly difficult time with Pearl doing her victory dance on top of the table in front of them.

Marina: Pearl, can you at least do your victory dance on the ground and not where we eat?

Pearl kept dancing but looked right over at Marina.

Pearl: Nope! It's been WAY too long since I've won a Splatfest, so I'm here to CEL-E-BRATE!

Pearl went back to gloating over Team Hare's victory over Team Tortoise. Marina just sighed and looked across the table at (Y/N) who just gave a "let her be" smirk, which put a minuscule smile on her face.

Marina: (At least I didn't lose alone.)

(Y/N)'s phone vibrated, so he looked down at it for a second and put it back in his pocket.

(Y/N): Well, Marie's here, I'll see y'all later.

He said while standing up to walk his plate to the sink and clean it off.

Pearl stopped dancing and looked over with her fist on her waist.

Pearl: Again? You two go out like every other day; are you two dating or something?

Hearing those words shot a shiver down Marina's spine, with (Y/N) apparently also being a bit surprised at those words.

(Y/N): O-Of course not! We're just... going to go hang out.

Pearl: Whatever you say, (Y/N).

Pearl went back to doing her victory dance.

(Y/N) was walking towards the living room to say goodbye to Veronica and to tell her to behave and Marina couldn't help but see him out. He was sitting down putting on his shoes as she reached him.

Marina: So...where are you going?

(Y/N): With Marie.

Marina: Pff, yeah, I know that.

He chuckled.

Marina: I meant where are you two planning on going?

(Y/N): Just normal things; the park, maybe the zoo, but we're gonna see Avengers: Endgame tonight.

Marina: Oh! That's cool, especially when-

(Y/N): HEY! NO SPOILERS!

Marina: I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

She giggled.

(Y/N): I've just been waiting to see it for so long, and there's probably going to be tears shed, so I'm glad Marie is going to be there for support.

He chuckled, while Marina was a bit jealous, wishing she'd be there to comfort him.

Marina: Well, I hope you two have a great time!

(Y/N): What's with that face?

Marina: H-Huh? What face?

(Y/N): OOOOOoooh... I see.

Marina: S-See what?

(Y/N): You're upset...

Marina: No I'm not! I just- I- uh-

(Y/N): Because you want to see Avenger's Endgame too.

Marina: ...

She stood there for a second, thanking herself that he was dense as a rock.

Marina: Y-Yep! That's it, I just want to see the movie too!

(Y/N): Why didn't you say so? I'll just ask Marie if y'all can come with us to the movies.

Marina: I-I don't want to be i-intruding on your two's night.

(Y/N): It's fine; she and I are still going to do our plans, but y'all can come to see the movie with us.

Pearl: Did I hear that we're going to see Endgame?

(Y/N): Yeah, if you'd like.

Pearl: Count us in!

Marina felt embarrassed and bad that she was possibly ruining their date, even if it was what she wanted.

Veronica: Movie time!

(Y/N): Then it's settled then. I'll talk to Marie about it, then I'll give you girls the address and the time.

Pearl: See ya there!

(Y/N) waved as he went out the door and shut it behind him.

Pearl POV

Veronica started walking back to the couch as Pearl started walking back to the kitchen until she noticed that Marina was still looking out the window. Pearl turned back around and looked out the window to see she was looking at (Y/N) walk away.

Pearl: You wanna follow him, don't you?

Marina: W-What?! N-N-No!

Pearl: Come on, I know you do.

Marina: Th-That's totally invasion of their p-privacy!

Pearl: (You can't fool me, Marina, we're family; I can read your feelings like a book...and I kind of want to follow them as well...)

Pearl: We'll get Three to come to watch Eight while we're out.

Marina: ...

Pearl: I'll take your silence as a yes! I'll go start up your motorcycle; I'm driving.

Marina walks after Pearl while pulling out her phone to call Three.

Marina: Pearl, you can't even ride a bike without training wheels, I'm getting the sidecar.

Pearl: (I hate the sidecar...)

Marina POV

Pearl was looking out the bush through her binoculars.

Marina: (This is so stupid. Why did I agree to this?)

Pearl: Are you sure they're coming to this park?

Marina: He said they were going to the park, and I figured this is the one they'd come to.

Pearl: He left before us since we had to wait for Three to get to our house first, where are they?

Marina: I don't know, maybe we should just le-

Pearl: Oh wait! There they are!

Marina: (Nevermind...)

Pearl: It looks like they're setting up a blanket in the shade of a tree.

Marina: So, it's a picnic?

Pearl: Looks that way. She's got a basket.

Marina: (Sounds like a date to me...Am I... jealous?)

Pearl: She's sitting against the tree and he's taking stuff out of the basket.

Marina wasn't even listening anymore.

Marina: (I mean... if they're together... I'm happy for them... they're my friends...)

Pearl said some more things that Marina wasn't listening to.

Marina: (I just... I want to know for sure... what they are to each other...)

Pearl dropped down into the bush fast. Marina looked over at her confused.

Marina: Did they see you?

Pearl: No, I just thought you weren't listening to me.

Marina: I-I was!

Pearl: What was the last thing I said?

Marina: ...

Pearl: ...

Marina: Okay, I... wasn't paying attention, sorry.

Pearl: He was feeding her grapes.

Marina was blushing a bit.

Pearl: Yep, if I had known he was that good of a servant, I'd have been paying him this whole time to wait on my every command.

Marina: What are they doing now?

Pearl peeked out the top of the bush again then came back down.

Pearl: They left.

Marina: What?! That fast?!

Pearl: Apparently.

Marina sighed.

Marina: Let's just go home and wait to go to the movies.

Pearl: You sure?

Marina: Yeah. I'm excited about the movie too.

Pearl: So is Eight, apparently she binge-watched them all with (Y/N).

Marina: That's nice, at least she'll understand what's going on.

Pearl: Let's just ignore this stuff and imagine how good the movie will be.

Marina smiled.

Marina: Yeah... you're right.

Marina, Pearl, Callie, Veronica, and Elizabeth were all waiting in the movie theater, buying their snacks and drinks.

Elizabeth: Didn't you say they'd be here soon?

Marina: Yeah.

Pearl: Don't worry, they're probably off smooching somewhere.

Marina felt uneasy again.

Pearl: Sorry...

She whispered to Marina.

Marina: You're not bothered by it at all?

Pearl: Nope! If they are, then that's their business...

Marina didn't believe her words at face value but thought she wouldn't push the subject.

Elizabeth was off still in the line, buying Veronica an Endgame bucket filled with popcorn.

Veronica: Can I get some candy too?

Elizabeth: No, you have the popcorn, and candy isn't good for you.

Veronica: Mmm... What about a drink?

Just then, Marie and (Y/N) walked in through the main doors with their tickets. They spotted the rest of them and walked over.

Marie: Hey girls.

(Y/N): Heya.

They all greeted the two new arrivals and continued to all chat while grabbing their snacks and drinks. Marina kept looking over at (Y/N) thinking about how she felt. Eventually, they were ready with all their snacks and decided the order they'd sit (from left to right) was: Liz, Callie, Marie, (Y/N), Veronica, Marina, Pearl.

After the movie ended, it was dark out and Veronica and a couple of the others were tired.

(Y/N): Is everyone tired?

All the others seemed to agree to which they formulated what they'd do.

(Y/N): I'll take Callie and Marie home. Liz, can you take Veronica home?

Marina: I can take her home.

Veronica: Yay! Mama Marina!

Liz: Looks like that's settled.

Pearl: I'll head home in the limo then.

(Y/N): Then it all works out. Cephalopods, assemble!

Liz: We are assembled.

(Y/N): Yeah, but I really wanted to say it.

Liz giggled.

Liz: Fair enough, Captain.

(Y/N) POV

He arrived home later to find that Veronica was fast asleep in her bed so he thought he'd finally go back to his room and rest up. When he got to his room, he opened his door to reveal that Marina was sitting on the end of her bed looking at his photos.

(Y/N): Marina? What're you still doing here?

Marina: Oh! (Y/N).

She set the photo back down on his nightstand.

Marina: I wanted to talk to you.

(Y/N): Is that all? Can't it wait until tomor-

Marina: No. I... I want..... I need to talk to you...

(Y/N): Um... sure...

He sat on the end of the bed next to her.

(Y/N): What is it?

Marina: ...What... What are we?

(Y/N): What do you mean?

Marina: Us. You and me... What am I to you?

(Y/N): (I... I don't know...)

Marina appeared to be getting worried by his silence.

(Y/N): I don't know, Marina...

She seemed to look down a bit disappointed by his answer.

Marina: Then... what happened between you and Marie when we were out camping?

He seemed to jump a bit and was shocked by her question.

Marina: What are you two...?

He took a second to think about it, not knowing what to say before he opened his mouth to speak.

(Y/N): We...
