First off, I'm going to hope you know the things such as (Y/N) and those things. Secondly, you're character is Agent 4, so expect them to be called that a good amount.

(Y/N) POV

*On the subway*

(Y/N): (This is great! Don't get me wrong, I would've loved to move to Inkopolis Plaza, but that place is expensive. I hear there's these popstars called "Off the Hook" here, and that they're really good! I think this was a great move.)

*Lights in the subway flicker as the ground shakes, before the lights return to normal*

(Y/N): (Me and my fat mouth.)

The subway lets off as it reaches the destination. I exit the subway station wanting to check what that was.

(Y/N): (Seriously. Subways are bad, but not THAT bad.)

At first glance at Inkopolis Square, I took in the breath-taking view. At SECOND glance, I realized what had happened.

(Y/N): Oh poo. (THE GREAT ZAPFISH IS GONE!)

That's when the two members of Off the Hook...

(Y/N): (Or so I've seen online.)

...came onto the giant screen above Inkopolis Square.

Pearl: Y'all know what time it is!

Marina: It's Off the Hook, coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!

Pearl: Check it! Here are the current Regular Battle stages!

Marina then spun her records twice, each time changing the pictures on the screen of two battle stages.

Pearl: Look at me! I'm Marina! BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Marina: Ahaha! Yeah, that's so me!

(Y/N): Ha.

Pearl: And these are the current Ranked Battle stages!

Once again, Marina used her records to show the battle stages on the screen.

Pearl: Ahhhhhhh! I just love the smell of the salty sea air!

Marina: But how can you tell it apart from the smell of your teammates' tears?

(Y/N): Ha.

Pearl: Here are the League Battle stages!

(Y/N): (I think I know what's going to happen next.)

Then, Marina changed between two pictures on the screen, using her records.

(Y/N): (Knew it. Shouldn't they be talking about the GREAT ZAPFISH BEING MISSING!? Or is it the fact that this has already happened before?)

Pearl: Uh... Why is our producer freaking out? Read the teleprompter, Marina!

Marina: Huh? Let's see here...

Marina then switched the screen using her records.

(Y/N): (Wow! It can do most anything.)

Marina: THIS JUST IN! The Great Zapfish has...disappeared?!

(Y/N): (Oh. There it is.)

Pearl: Wait, like, for reals?! I feel like I've heard this story somewhere before...

(Y/N): (I know right?)

Marina: There's more! Pop superstar Callie of the Squid Sisters has gone missing!

(Y/N): (Well I bet that helps you.)

Pearl: NOOOO! NOT CALLIE! This is terrible! Do something, Marina!

Marina: Uh... OK, I'll put together a search part-

Pearl: Whatever. I'm sure they'll turn up at some point. In other news...

(Y/N): Ha- Wait, what?

Marina: But shouldn't we form a search party or someth-

Pearl: And that's all the time we've got!

(Y/N): *mumble* big forehead* mumble mumble*

Pearl: Until next time...

Pearl & Marina: Don't get cooked... Stay off the hook!

The screen then turned to off.

(Y/N): (How do they just brush these events off?! Well I guess the Great Zapfish has disappeared before, but how do they just brush off Callie disappearing?! Well I guess it's less competition for them... I'll shut up now.)

I took about three steps before...

(Y/N): (HUH?! Who's that mysterious squid back there? It almost looks like... No, she'd never hang out in a place like this. And those clothes... Yeah, must be someone else........ Screw it. I'm going to check it out.)

I started walking towards the squid, but when I got close, she disappeared into ink. I was going to walk away (Crusty Sean's food truck did look good.) when I noticed there was a note where she just was.

It read, "Follow me."

I was rubbing the bridge of my nose.

(Y/N): Well this couldn't go wrong

Then I hopped through the gate after entering my squid form.

After what felt like forever, I finally exited the drain. There were a couple trees, some decorations going across some of the area. Then, that's when I noticed the shack in front of me, and there was someone standing in front of it.

Marie: Hmm... The Octarians... Hey... You showed up! As soon as I saw you aimlessly wandering around the square, I knew you were the one.

(Y/N): (Should I run?)

Marie: I'm Marie. I know you're probably a bit starstruck, but I need you to get over it. Yes, I'm THAT Marie.

She struck a pose.

Marie: You know... from the Squid Sisters.

We just sat there staring at each other for a minute, me not wanting to tell her I had never heard of her.

Marie: You've never heard of me? For eel? Well, you obviously aren't very cultured, but you'll have to do. See, I've got a little...thing I need some help with.

(Y/N): (Yeah, I should definitely run.)

Marie: By now, you've heard that the Great Zapfish that powers Inkopolis Square is missing. Well, it's not just missing-it's been squidnapped by the Octarian menace! How do I know this? On the surface, I may just look like an absurdly talented pop star...

(Y/N): How modest.

She just stared at me wide-eyed, with her mouth scrunched up, and angry eyed.

Marie: But in truth... I'm Agent 2 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, a secret society of heroes who save the world from Octarians!

I wanted to ask if I was joining a cult, but thought it better not to.

Marie: Now, I've been trying to keep an eye on the Octarians in my downtime, but I'm a busy girl.

(Y/N): (And you missed them stealing that gigantic Great Zapfish, right above the Square, where you just stand in the corner with your umbrella.)

Marie: (If only Callie was around to lend a hand...) Ahem... I need YOU to go get the Great Zapfish back from those slimy Octarians! What do you say? Are you in? ... *ahem* Soooooooooo... I'll take your awkward silence as a yes.

(Y/N): This isn't exactly something you can answer in three seconds!

Marie: Too late! Welcome aboard! You are now Agent 4 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. I even bought you a brand-new Hero Suit as a signing bonus.

I looked down and saw my clothes had completely changed. I also, noticed they felt old and worn out.

(Y/N): How did you change my clothes like that?!

Marie: Ahaha, that's not important! And look at that-it fits like a glove! (Not bad for an old hand me down.) Now, let's go tear those Octarians limb from limb from limb from limb from limb from- Well... you get the picture. Oh yeah- the entrances to the Octarian realm are invisible, so you'll have to ink them to reveal them.

(Y/N): Wait! I have MANY questions!

Marie: *sighs then turns around with a smile* Fine.

I know this was kind of slow, but this was more of an introduction. I also was doing this close to what actually happens in the game. I spent SO much time copying dialogue! I'll try to get the next part out fast if you guys seem to like this so far.
