Mindy's P.O.V.

"I would Super Jump to the school, but that would be too much work." Cenede admitted.

"So you'd rather be caught in a stampede of inklings instead of instantly Super Jumping there? Can i ask why?" Lucas asked puzzled."I thought you weren't allowed to do that."

"It's an extremely important decision to make. Not many people choose that option. They only choose it when their in the worst possible situation. No one has ever attempted to do it...not since the incident..."

Incident? Please tell me that no one got

"Somebody pass me the popcorn! We're getting ready to hear a story!" Soup beamed.

"Um...I think we'll save the story for another time. I won't be able to tell the whole story before we get to school. Just don't do the stunt around campus, okay?"

BEEP BEEP!

Soup received a message from his brother.

E: Hey, dude! Ready for school? Neveah and I are handling things pretty okay. Sharl went on ahead to Inkopolis with two squids named Jack and Milie. We're already at the high school. Octavia's at home doing research. Did you guys get on the train yet?

S: Man, you sure are talkative this morning aren't you? We'll be at the school in a bit. See you later!

E: K, big bro!

"WOOMY WOOMY WOOMY WOOMY!"

"Who was that?" I asked looking around.

"That was the train conductor. We're almost there!" Cenede smiled.

"Does he have a woomy problem? That really wasn't necessary..." Soup moaned. "No, he doesn't have a woomy problem. He just does that for fun. You're gonna have to get used to it."

"You understand woomy?" I asked.

"Who doesn't?" Cenede asked.

I don't...I really don't...I don't see how people can understand it. It's not even a language. People just say it for stupid reasons...

DING DING!

The train horn was blowing.

"WOOMY! WE'RE HERE!" Cenede beamed. She then quickly covered her mouth as we all eyed her.

"Did you just say woomy...on purpose?" I asked. Cenede looked at us nervously."No...I'll..catch you guys later, okay? It was nice meeting you!"she said as she quickly walked off.

"Well that was awkward..."Riley said raising one eyebrow. A crowd of squid kids were entering the school building. The bell was ringing.

"We've gotta go! Cmon!" Soup shouted as he began to run inside the building. Me, Riley, and Lucas followed him.

Where my locker was located, there seem to be no freshmans around anywhere. There were many squids above my grade who were always bumping into me. I started to feel a bit nervous. I quickly ran to my locker and opened it to make sure that I would get it right the next time.

I looked off to the side to see Kevin. He was closing his locker. Then the red head eyed me and smirked."Staring at me won't give the power to see through my clothes, Mindy."

I just chuckled."Me? Look at you? You have the face not even a mother could love..."

"Well if you're going to be two-faced, at least make one of them pretty."

I then had a shocked look on my face. Cmon, Mindy you're on a role here. You've gotta keep it up."I'm sorry. Was I meant to be offended by that? The only thing that's offending me is your face..."

"The face of the guy that you once went with."

"The face that's beginning to look more and more ugly every time I see it. If you want a good comeback that's going to upset me, then go wipe it off your mom's face."

"I never did know what made you stupid, but it works!"

"I'd call you a complete retard, but that would be an insult to retards."

"Look, I don't have time for this--"

"Flopping away I see? I didn't expect you to end this so early." Kevin asked with a grin. Up to this point, all of the squid kids in the hallway were staring at the both of us. Lucas, Riley, and Soup were walking along side each other.

Riley saw me talking to my exe. She then stopped walking.What's wrong, Riley?" Soup asked.

"Er...you guys should go on ahead to class. I'll be there in a bit." Riley said.

"You sure you can find your--"

"Just go, you guys. I can find my own way."She exclaimed pushing them both forcing them to move. Riley walked over to me and grabbed my hand. A worried look was on her face.

"Riley, what're you-"

"We have to go now, Minds! And I mean right now!  Now is not the best time to do this." she muttered pushing me. She then looked both ways to see squid kids looking at her like she was crazy.

"WHAT'RE YOU PEOPLE LOOKING AT?! DO YOU HAVE A STARING PROBLEM?"

All of the squid kids turned the other direction from her. We both entered the classroom without hesitation. Kevin folded his arms and walked away with only a few seconds until the bell rang.

I'm gonna laugh if he's late...

1st period

There were many squid kids in the classroom who were greeting one another. Me, Riley, Lucas, and Soup all looked at each other and smiled. We saw Tanrine and her group. Drake, Lola, Sky and Cenede were all sitting together. I figured that Cenede didn't have many friends.

Towards my front row appeared two inklings who looked like twins. They looked surprisingly suspicious.

Neveah, Evan were sitting together with Sharl, Jack and Millie.

"Alright, class quiet down now!" A soft feminine voice spoke. She had a surprisingly funny British accent. A teacher who looked middle-aged and looked like a sea urchin walked to the board."Good morning, students. My name is Mrs. Pearl and I am your Math teacher for this year. Let us all introduce ourselves shall we?"

Soup looked at me, Lucas, and Riley had a grin on his face."Oh boy, what kind of stunt are you gonna pull off now?" Riley asked.

"When she calls my name, I'm gonna say I like trains."

"Don't do it dude..." Lucas said trying to hide his smile.

After a few squid kids introduced themselves, it was Soup's turn. "And what may be your name?" Mrs. Pearl asked in a polite tone.

Soup had a huge smile on his face. He then looked at all of us as we shook our heads.

"Dude, chill out!" I smiled. Soup then looked at the classroom students and the teacher."My name is James Splash."

If it's one thing I know, it's that Soup knows whether or not when to take things too far. The cyan head then sat down after he said those few words.

"You guys actually thought I was gonna do it?" Soup beamed. Lucas nodded his head."Yeah, let's see what you'll do when we get to your mo--"

Riley then punched him in the arm."Don't encourage him or give him ideas..."

I then chuckled a little. I think that this is going to be a good school year. I'll just have to wait and see.

We made it through three teachers so far. It was time to go to Mrs. Splash's class. As soon as we made to her class, we placed ourselves in our desks. We were the first ones to make it in the classroom. Mrs. Splash was beaming for joy once she saw Soup and a bit nervous as well.

"I can't wait to meet your friends, James. I hope I don't mess anything up either. If I embarrass you in anyway, then just let me know ok--"

Soup had a weak smile on his face and gave her a hug."Don't worry about it, mom. You've got this! I won't feel embarrassed. And besides, if anyone tries to make fun of you, I'll make sure to give them a good punch."

"Violence isn't the answer young man and you know that." Mom...*ahem* Mrs. Splash exclaimed folding her arms.

I sighed."I know, mom."

She then rubbed my head playfully."That's my boy! Now go on ahead and do your best my little baby Jamie-kins!"

"Mom..."

"Heh...sorry..."she said looking at me sheepishly.

I'm glad no one saw that....

After all of the squid kids made it to the classroom, Mrs. Splash proceeded with her routine. The Squid Sisters were also taking class with us, but no one seemed to care much. I'd have to spend every single day in this classroom hearing screaming girls. Mrs. Splash seemed extremely confident introducing herself to everyone. She even mentioned being Soup's mom which surprisingly didn't bother him at all.

After spending a long time in biology class, Riley had her head down on her desk and was...sleeping? Dear god...she went from cheery to sleepy that fast...

"Riley! Riley Miley! Wake up!" I said poking her. Mrs. Splash had her eyes locked on her and started to giggle. She then walked over to her trying to make her wake up.

"Sleepy one isn't she?" Mrs. Splash asked. Riley then woke up and saw her. Riley completely overreacting from the shock of her presence.

"DEAR GOD..."She panicked. Riley then looked around the classroom to see many eyes of squid kids staring at her."I promise I won't do it again, Mrs. Splash!"

The teacher then smiled. Soup looked at Riley then his mom with a pleading face hoping she would give her a chance."Very well then, Mrs. Ink. I'll give you the green light. Riley's face was bursting with joy."WOO HOO!" she beamed raising both of her arms in the air cheering."As long as you don't do it again."Mrs. Splash said folding her arms. Riley then sweat dropped."I won't do it again...but I won't make any promi--"

Soup quickly covered her mouth."She won't do it again." After Mrs. Splash bought it, she walked back up to the front of the class.

"Would you--" Riley took his hand off of her mouth. "What was that for?"

"If it's one thing I know about my mom, it's that she will never hesitate to start a long conversation. She'll talk especially when you misbehave."

"Alright, class. Your lab fee money is $25. So make sure you turn it in as soon as possible. If you don't, you'll go throughout the school year without using equipment during lab." Mrs. Splash exclaimed.

DING DING DING!

The school bell started to ring again. It was time for break and then off to the worst class subject ever. All of the students quickly grabbed their belongings and out the door they went.

"I'll catch up with you guys soon!" Soup said smiling at us. He walked over to his mom with a huge smile on his face."You did great today!"

"Aww, thanks, hon bun! I loved how well you behaved."she then looked around to see if anyone was still in the classroom."You said that Riley is one of your friends right? She seems like a keeper!" Mrs. Splash smirked.

Soup's face then turned red."No, mom! We're just friends."

Mrs. Splash giggle a little."That's what they all say, sweetheart! First comes love, then comes love, then comes a baby in a baby carriage--"

"AND I'M OUT!"Soup said quickly walking to the door.

"I'll see you again very soon, James!"

"BUT NOT TOO SOON!" Soup shouted as he walked out in to the hallway.

We have 2nd break which is okay...I guess. The thought that crossed my mind was how I would survive the next period. I'll just have to wait and see.
