Riley's P.O.V.

Later on that morning

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

"RISE AND SHINE, SQUIDDOS!" I shouted in a booming voice running to all of my gang's bedrooms. It was 6:00 in the morning. That was only 2 hours after I helped Soup. I went to his room first before I woke Lucas and Mindy up.

"Rise and shine, squiddo!" I smiled poking Soup. He woke up with a smile on his face. "Well some squid kid's happy this morning! Did you dream about the same thing again after I helped you?"

"Nope!" Soup beamed."Thanks for everything, Riley."He looked around to make sure that Mindy and Lucas weren't awake."You didn't wake Lucas and Mindy up did you?" I shook my head."Thank goodness!"

"Well, c'mon! It's time to get ready!" I beamed grabbing his hand pulling the fish-breathed boy out of bed. I ran to Mindy and Lucas's room waking them both up."Are ya ready kids?"

"Can you give us five more minutes of sleep, Riley?"Lucas groaned.

"You can be late for school, and when you do, it won't be my problem. GET UP, MAGGOT!" I shouted.

"I can't believe it's the first stay of school! I'm so excited!" Mindy beamed."We've got to get ready and fast! Their serving breakfast!"

We all changed into our school clothes. I decided to go for an outfit that looked adventurous yet sporty and fashionable at the same time. One last little touch up was missing.

Makeup!

I was standing in front of my mirror putting lipstick on. Lucas came in wearing an outfit that looked similar to the old one. He was holding a notebook in his hand."Is that really necessary?" He asked walking up to me.

"This is something you boys don't understand. It's the first day of school. I need to look fresh...and I also need my space!" I said pushing him out of the way.

"FACE BOOK!" He shouted hitting me in the face with his notebook.

"YOU LITTLE--"

"I'm older than you, sis!" Lucas said with a big grin on his face. I was furious at this point."Just you wait until we get on that train! I'm gonna kill you little piece of s-"

"Guys, we've gotta go! Someone's going to school on an empty stomach and it won't be me!" Soup shouted running out of the dorm room.

I quickly washed the lipstick off of my face."I'll deal with you later, Lucas!"

As soon as all three of us headed outside of the dorm room, a crowd of squid kids were heading out way.

"STAMPEDE!" Mindy shouted grabbing both me and Lucas's hands. We all were the first ones to head to the elevator. "C'mon c'mon c'mon! Close!" I said to myself.

A squid in front of the whole crowd quickly turned into a squid and jumped into the elevator with us. She accidentally bumped her head on the wall.

"Oww..."she moaned. She then looked up at us and hesitated."You guys didn't see that, okay?"

"Okay...but are you okay?" Mindy asked. The squid rubbed her head."Yeah, I'm fine. I've been in worse situations."she said as she stood up."So, you guys are on the school rush too, huh?"

I then saw that the girl had different colored eyes. We all sweat dropped then nodded our heads."Yeah, I feel ya! Cenede's the name. Don't wear it out."

We all introduced ourselves."Okay, cool!" Cenede smiled. The elevator doors opened up. We arrived at our destination.

"So, you guys are gonna need to hurry and get your breakfast. That little stampede you just saw back there is only the least of your problems. Just wait until you get to school! I'll see you guys later." She said as she walked off to stand in a line filled with only a few squids.

Only a few squids...oh thank goodness!

I looked over to see Soup eating an omelet. Over to the side was a glass of orange juice. We walked over to where he was.

(Gosh darnit I'm hungry now...)

"Well would you looky here! What took you guys so long?" He asked with a smirk. We all had furious looks on our faces, but I was infuriated with him the most."You knew about this didn't you? You sneaky little bastard..." I mumbled.

Soup shrugged."It's not my fault you guys are late. You guys should be in line instead of talking to me. You better hurry too. A crowd of squid kids should be heading out of those elevators over there at any second."

DING!

"Oh, there they are!" Soup smiled."Good luck dealing with them. It's best to just take the food on the train. That'd be simple enough, right?"

"I know something else that's gonna be simple enough to do and it won't take long at all!" I said balling my fists.

The crowd of squid kids were running towards us before we knew it. "Just hurry and grab something you guys!" Lucas shouted pushing me and Mindy to the line that seemed yo have gotten shorter.

"Push them! Just push them all!" Lucas mumbled. The crowd seemed to get bigger and bigger by the minute. It was so big, that everyone was spread out so that the people sitting at tables had trouble getting out.

Soup stood up and was surrounded by many squid kids. "NOPE!" Soup yelled practically pushing everyone out of the way leaving his food on the table.

After a huge attempt to get through the crowd, we all made it to the front entrance of Flounder Heights. Soup eyed us and was holding in a snort."W-What took you guys so long?" he asked.

SMACK!

"HEY!"

"You deserved it! You left us in a squid stampede!"

"I only watch out for three people and that's me, myself, and I."

"We don't have time to hear you guys arguing! We've gotta get to the train station!" Mindy exclaimed. We all followed her to the train station which was packed with squid kids.

"Dear God..." Soup mumbled with a gaping mouth. I looked over to my right to see someone at a reception stand. No one was in line.

"There's still hope! C'mon!" I shouted happily running over to the stand.

We all received our train tickets and hopped on board into the train. We all placed ourselves in our seats. The squid kids were acting...more wild than during a turf war. One girl actually threw a splat bomb at a boy...inside the train...

We all high-fived each other."WE MADE IT! WE ACTUALLY MADE IT!" I beamed.

Music started to play and the one and only Squid Sisters were making a special announcement on the intercom.

C: GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

M: How are you guys doing on such a fantastic morning? Enjoy your first day while you can because you'll be begging not to get out of bed throughout the rest of the year.

C: Marie....

M: Can we get this over with? We've got school to worry about!

C: Ugh! Fine! Good luck everyone and remember to....

C and M: STAY FRESH!

All of the squid girls were fangirling for some reason."Can you guys believe that the Squid Sisters go to our school?" A random girl with purple hair asked. It turned out to be Cenede.

"Woah! How'd you get here so fast, Cenede?" Mindy asked."I have my ways!" she said with a smile.

"Fine, I decided not to eat today." Cenede admitted.

Everyone in the train was screaming so loudly, that it was hard to hear our conversation.

"Kill me now..." Lucas said covering his ears.

"C'mon, Lucas! It's the Squid Sisters for peets sake!" I said. Lucas looked at me with a straight forward expression."You try spending a couple of days with them and see how you like it."

"Okay I hear your point." I said idiotically. Soup pulled out his phone."You guys ready to step into the big league?" he beamed."Selfie for the, occasion anyone?"

"Everybody say FRESHMANS!" he shouted. He even let Cenede get in the selfie. Even a few of the squid kids were in on the action trying to photo bomb the selfie.
