"EXCUSE ME?!  I SAW THAT SPLIT AND IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH! DO IT AGAIN AND THIS TIME DO IT RIGHT!"

"Well I don't see you doing anything, Adrienne. You're a part of this too. I bet you're not even near a good dancer."

"Lily, we have three weeks left of practice. Don't screw anything up like last time during the prep rally. And by the way, I've performed before I even knew you existed. I have worked day and night to perfect my dancing skills and you've started doing this last year...and still struggling. HOW HARD IS THIS?!"

"You...do realize that we're not at practice, right?"

"Last time, you guys sucked! The whole eighth grade did! No one was cheering! This is P.E. We have all the time in the world to practice. I'm pretty sure the coach won't say anything. My daddy is the mayor of the city and--"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, your dad own's the whole town. We know this already." Lily said in a mocking tone rolling her eyes.

After break, it was time to go to the worst class ever. Soup and Lucas were going to the gym with the boys, so we were split up for the time being. The voice of a loud and obnoxious girl was heard in the gymnasium. Only a few girls were inside the gym.

"Boy if I didn't have to waist my life with these retards..."Adrienne mumbled walking out of the gym. As soon as she did, she walked right into me and Riley. Ugh! Watch where you're going next time!"

I blinked twice."Oh...um...we didn't mean..."

Riley stepped up."Excuse us, sweetheart, but that was clearly your--"

"Do it again and I'll make your both of your lives miserable! Got that? If you don't, then I'll make sure that gets taken care of." She then walked off with the face of anger."SKY, WHERE IS EVERYONE?!"

Riley and I waited until she walked back into the gym."Man, we've got a hysterical drama queen in the house." Riley smiled.

"Um...maybe at their lockers?" Sky answered Adrienne as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. The Squid Sisters were humming one of their songs. Adrienne was infuriated."STOP SINGING ALREADY!"

Callie then stood up after witnessing her terrible attitude. She then started to chuckle."Excuse me? Do you even know who we are?"

Adrienne folded her arms."Do you know who I am? I'm a well-known dancer, singer and the future champion of Inkopolis! I'm the mayor of Inkopolis's daughter! You may be the oh-so popular Squid Sisters, but I could call my dad right now and tell him to run you out of this city."

The Squid Sisters remained silent. As soon as Marie began to say something sassy, Adrienne noticed a problem."DARNIT, TANGERINE! YOU'VE GOT TO BE THE DYNAMO ROLLER!"

"It's too heavy..."Tanrine moaned."And it's Tanerine."

"Whatever. You should have thought about that before you joined band."

DING DING DING!

The school bell was ringing once again. A crowd of squid girls were running as fast as they could before the coach could show up.

"There you all are! Took you long enough..."said Adrienne.

The P.E. coach was coming."Everyone get in a single file line before Mrs. Bubbles forces you to spam in your squid form 50 times!"Adrienne panicked. All of the girls were in a single file line. The sound of foot tapping was heard from afar.

No one made a single sound...

Not a single voice was heard. Not even a murmur....

Just a complete moment of silence.....

"Good afternoon, students! My name is Mrs, Bubbles, by you can call me Coach Bubbles as well. What we'll be doing today is practice our squid jumping skills and then we'll probably do a little turf war with boys while we're at it. I'm pretty sure all of you participate in turf wars don't you?"

She did not just ask that! Are you squidding me?! Everyone is supposed to participate in at least one turf war before they move on to high school.

Every girl in the gym nodded. "Good, so things won't be so complicated! Go get changed!"

Man...for a coach, she sure likes to get straight to the point with things...

After a while, we all were finished with practice. We decided to play a match against the boys. Well...it was girls against girls then boys. This turf war seemed a lot complicated than most turf battles usually are. A random group of 4 were chosen. Me, Riley, Cenede, and Sky were first. On the other side was Adrienne, Lola, Vadelma, and Tanrine. The theme color for this battle was pink vs. yellow. My team was in yellow.

"Are you guys sure we can win this one?" Cenede asked practically shaking with nervous. Riley beamed."Sure we can! If we believe! Think positive."

"Okay, I am positive we're gonna lose this round."

3....2....1.....GO! The teams were off. All of the squid girls performed many tricks that I never thought would be possible. I started to get a bit nervous, but not too nervous.

"KRAKEN AT 6:00!" Sky shouted. "Got ya!" I shouted. But before I knew it, I saw Tanrine as a Kraken right behind me ready to strike.

"Say goodnight, Mindy!"she chuckled. She then swam straight towards me in a blink of an eye.

SWOOSH!

I jumped right over her before she could attack. I can't believe I actually did that! I then noticed that I...may have broken her Inkbrush while trying to splat her.

"ARE YOU SQUIDDING ME?!" Tanrine asked while floating away safely to her team's spawn point.

"Sorry about that!" I shouted.

It was only a few seconds before the match was over. Time was of the essence. 3...2...1....The match was over. The results had shown that the other team won.

"WHAT THE SCALLOP?!" Sky asked shocked.

A girl with yellow inked hair and clothing the same as mine walked towards Riley. It was none other than Adrienne. Riley was lying on the ground after such a brutal battle."Well that was pathetic..."

Riley then stood up."Excuse me?! I'd love to see how you would do if you were in my team." Adrienne then smirked."Everyone knows I'd do better than you anyway."

Adrienne then looked at her clothes. "You're not even near fresh, sweetheart. Being fresh is the key to winning. The shopkeepers would kick you out even if you stepped foot in their shops."

How would she know if Riley was fresh or not? She doesn't know what kind of clothes she has...then again, Adrienne is wearing a school uniform which is pretty fresh...

Riley was holding back a grudge."Well...I'll get better!"

"Not if you continue to play like today you won't!"

"At least I was actually doing something other than sitting on my butt!"

"Excuse me?"Adrienne asked as she turned around."My job is to protect my team. You wouldn't know anything about that if you keep getting splat. And by the way, you're a terrible sniper. Work on your skills."

That son of a....biscuit! Riley's sniping skills were on point. I can't just stand here and let Adrienne talk about my bestie in front of her face.

The sound of a whistle was heard from afar."Alrighty, girls!" Coach Bubbles shouted."It's time to go against the boys. Do your best out there!"

Riley's P.O.V.

A match against the boys was about to start. The match was held at the Blackbelly Skatepark. Addison, Lizzy, Grace, and a girl named Cyanthia were on one side and Wesley, Drake, Matthew, and Soup were on the other. The theme color was purple against lime green.

Before we all made it to our spawn points, I stood beside Soup. Soup had his eyes locked on someone."You okay, dude?" I asked trying to see who he was staring at.

"Who's the new girl?" He asked. I looked straightforward to see a girl with a purple squid girl dress on and had side bangs."Ah, that's Cyanthia. She's a newbie here."

Soup didn't say anything else afterwards. He was lost in thought. Dazed even. I giggled."Ooooh! I think someone's hooked on a feeling!" I said in a mocking tone.

"What? No!"Soup exclaimed."Sure you're not."

"I'M NOT!"

"Then prove it on the battlefield. And...are you sure you're gonna be able to move around freely in your clothes? It's pretty hot out here."

Soup was wearing the same outfit as I was. It's what everyone is supposed to wear in P.E. for safety reasons. Soup quickly ran back to the dressing room and changed his clothes.

Mrs. Bubbles then blew her whistle once again."Alright, everyone! Get into position."

3...2...1...GO! The teams were off. The girls seemed to be beating the boys. Half of the girl's ink color was covered on the court. At one point, I noticed something that happened to Soup that was totally hilarious.

OOMPH!

After a failed attempt to Super Jump to an inkling, Soup landed on top of Cyanthia's bubble shield. I felt sorry for the poor guy, but I couldn't help but laugh.

"Um...h-hi...My name's James. You'd probably know who I am. I'm Internet famous."Soup hesitated. A blush appeared on his face."Uh...sorry. I've never heard of you. You know, you really need to keep an eye on your surroundings before Super Jumping. It helps."

"Eh heh...good to know..."

As soon as the battle was over, the results were in. The girls won by 4 points. Soup sat beside me on the bleachers."I totally got her attention!" He said trying to hide the fact that he totally did a bad first impression.

"If you say so, Romeo." I chuckled.

Meanwhile, Tanrine was busy wondering how she would get her Inkbrush fixed. Logan then walked over to her with a sympathetic look."You know...I could help you fix it." Logan said.

Tanrine beamed with excitement."REALLY?!"

"Yeah, and it won't take long at all." Tanrine then gave him a big hug."Thank you so much, Logan! You're the best!"

I then had the most idiotic smile on my face. I guess love is all around and not just any love. It's Squidy Love.
