Inkopolis High School
Mindy's P.O.V.

It took us a while to come to the school only because Sharl overslept.

Music started to play in town. The Squid Sisters were making a special announcement.

C: "GOOD MORNING MY PEEPS!"

M: "Your peeps? The people wouldn't even know us if I weren't always by your side."

C: "*ahem* ANYWAY! Are you inklings ready to go to school? Get ready cause we thought of a way for you guys to feel hyped! Every morning and every evening you ride the train to Inkopolis, we'll play one of our songs to help wake you up."

M: "Yeah! We do it for the hype!"

C: ........

M: "Problem?"

C: "You're not that energetic. You don't smile that much. This is how you do it!"

Callie began making a pose.

C: "WE DO IT FOR THE HYPE!"

M: "Yeah...mine's was better, right folks?"

C: "Someone's feeling a bit salty..."

M: "SHUT UP!"

C: *cough cough* You guys like our remix? It's a little specialty we made up to help celebrate the occasion. You all stay in school and remember to...

C and M: STAY FRESH!

"Not even the Squid Sisters can save us from the truth..." Evan said depressed. "So, this is it?" Soup asked in awe. A wide building of color was seen. The school was split into five small buildings. There was one for Math, English, Science, History, and one for all of the other classes involving real life. It was hard for us to tell which building was which.

"Oh yeah...we're screwed..."Lucas said with his mouth gaping open."We'll figure this out eventually."said Riley. Lucas was lost in thought."Give me a few months to figure things out..."

Riley shook her head and giggled. She grabbed Lucas's hand."C'mon, it won't be hard at all!"

Through the halls of Inkopolis High School we went. The classes seemed to be unorganized.

Oh joy...

Our first stop was by the principal's office. Her office wasn't really that colorful, but her personality was upbeat and kind of like Riley's.

"Oh my stars! You all must be new students here! Welcome to IHS! I'm pretty sure you all will learn to get used to things around here. What are your names?"

Sharl did a tentacle flip."My name's Sharl." I looked at her and gave her an 'are you kidding me' look.

"My name's Lucas." Lucas smiled.

"My name is Riley!" Riley beamed.

"My name's Mindy!" I said.

Soup stood there with a grin on his face."......I like trains...." We all looked at Soup. Lucas did a tiny snort. Riley shook her head trying to hide her smile."You would say that..."

The principal looked at him and sighed."Oh joy, here goes another one of you class clowns. It'll surprise me if you make it through this school."she said.

"I'm sorry. My name is James, but everyone calls me Soup."

"I'll be watching you like a hawk! Here are you locker numbers and combinations!" She said handing all of us a piece of paper.

We all looked at the paper."Mines is locker 437." I said. Everyone smiled."Mines isn't really that far away from yours."said Soup.

Everyone nodded meaning that our lockers were close by. We all split up and went to our lockers. All of the lockers were clean and filled with color from dried ink.

I tried to open it and was having trouble opening it too."Let's see...16...20...0!" I told myself.

CLING!

"OH COME ON!"

My locker wouldn't budge no matter how hard I tried. I tried it once again.

"UGH!"

Am I gonna deal with this all year long?

BANG!

I heard a loud and obnoxious voice of a boy coming from the left side of where I was standing."Well well well, if it isn't Mindy O'Link!"

I snapped my eyes open in shock. That voice...

"Remember me? C'mon! You couldn't have forgotten that quick. It's your sweet and handsome boyfriend in the flesh looking fresh as ever!"

That voice was coming from my ex.

Kevin

Kevin was the bad boy who often gotten into trouble because of his rebellious ways and put the blame on me for doing it which is what I hated the most about him. He was in a popular group who thinks that their better than everyone else and look down on them and I think that I just may be his target.

I slammed my locker shut, but not too hard."What do you want, Kevin?" I asked with a frown in my face.

"Aren't you happy to see me, Starburst?" He asked walking towards me with each word he said.

"I don't want to talk to you! I know you're not here for me, so you can just shut up and drop the act!"

Kevin snapped his eyes open in disbelief of what I just said.

"Yeah I said it. Problem?" I asked with a smirk.

"Eh...I think the only one with the problem is you. I know you still want this! This is your one chance to take me back. You have no idea what you're missing out on, princess."

Kevin was close up to me and leaned down for a kiss. I shoved him out of my face."UGH! You're unbelievable! We broke up, okay?! I've moved on to someone better. Much better than you'll ever be! I feel sorry for the girl who'll end up with you!"

Kevin had a furious look on his face. I then had a worried look on my face almost regretting that I said that...almost...

BANG!

Kevin then shoved me back onto my locker holding back his grudge."Urgh..."

"You'll regret that you ever said that when I'm done with you, I'll change your mind really quick!"

"HEY!" Another voice shouted. A boy with royal blue hair walked up to the both of us."Flop off, pal! She's mine! What is wrong with you? That's not how you treat a girl!"

"Humph! If it isn't Lucas! I'm surprised you even bothered to show up here!" Kevin smirked as he stepped back a little. He looked at me."Count your blessings, O'Link cause you just got lucky! Heh...other than last time..."

My eyes were snapped open in shock. I tried to hide my expression by making a serious face. Kevin started to laugh a bit."Don't pretend like you don't remember. You may have changed, but that doesn't mean that your past has. You're trying to throw it all away, but you can't. No matter how hard you try, you just can't forget." He turned around and walked off."Hmmph...can't believe I went with a douche like you..."

Lucas was getting ready to punch him, but I stopped him."Now's not the time..." I said. Kevin continued to walk away with a grin on his face.

"You okay, Mindy? Was he bothering you?" He asked."Did that look like a friendly get-together?" I asked sarcastically.

Lucas had his eyes locked on Kevin as he walked off."Someone really needs to slap some sense into Kevin...with a chair...with spikes..." I couldn't help but laugh.

Riley ran up to us."Hey you guys! It's time to get a move on!" Riley beamed. We visited three teachers so far. The teacher that we saw next was a teacher named Mrs. Splash. She looked a lot like Soup.

"Hey, mom!" Soup beamed.

Sharl, Riley, Lucas, and I had gaping mouths."That's your mom?!" I asked. Soup nodded his head."Yeah, my adoptive mom."

"Yep, that's me. My little Jamie-kins has been telling me all about you. When he told me he made some new friends he was bursting with joy! My name is Mrs. Splash and you'll be coming to my classroom 5th period. I'll see you all tomorrow!"she beamed and looked at Soup."And just because I'm your mother doesn't mean that I can't give you a bad grade on your assignments okay, honey?"

Soup sweat dropped."Uh...okay, mom!"

Mrs. Splash smiled and ruffled his hair."That's my boy! My baby's finally growing up!"

"Mom...you're embarrassing me."

"Well sorry." She said laughing."Now you all go on ahead and have fun!"

We eventually walked through the halls of Inkopolis High School. There weren't many students that I knew(obviously), but some squid kids decided to move here to Inkopolis.

"Man, you're mom is nice!" Lucas told Soup. Soup smiled."Yeah...she's pretty great!"

Our next stop was the gym. We eventually made it there after a long walk.

"EXCUSE ME! WATCH OUT, PEOPLE!" A loud feminine voice shouted.

BAM!

"Urgh...what was that all about?" I asked rubbing my head. I looked up and saw a girl with orange hair and was wearing braces."Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!"she asked. The girl was wearing a neon green jacket with crazy arrows. A boy with royal blue hair was right next to her.

"Yeah...I think so..." I said standing back up."My name's Piper! Tangerine Piper! Most people just call me Tangerine. I know my last name is a bit weird-"

"I wouldn't say weird. It fits the name perfectly." Neveah beamed. Everyone introduced theirselves to her."Oh okay! Nice to meet you all!"

"Er...sorry about that. People are just clumsy during battles..."

"Hey, you can't pin this wrap all on me!" The blue head said.

Tangerine folded her arms."Well you can't just go out into the halls like that and shoot ink everywhere! Remember what happened last year? Now that was a disaster!"

"That was clearly your fault!" The blue one remarked. A girl with purple hair walked up to us."You two...it was the both of your faults."

"But Winona, you saw what just happened! You're supposed to be my witness." The blue one said.

Winona shook her head."I'm no one's witness. I don't watch out for anyone except for three people and that's me, myself, and I."

"My name's Drake! And this is Tangerine, and Winona. We're just practicing for the splat bomb season."

Splat bomb season was exactly like basketball season except that you use splat bombs and you can't dribble the bomb(obviously). The gym gets messy after a while.

"Hey, aren't you the guy who kissed that girl in the mall on a bench?" Sharl snickered behind.

"Uh...yeah...you know about that too, huh?" Drake blushed running his head. "Dude...the whole city knows about it. And when I say the whole city, I mean the whole city! It's actually kind of  cute!" Riley smiled.

After Drake rubbed his head, he looked down to see a schedule on the gym floor. He picked it up to see who's schedule it was."Huh...is this yours?" Drake asked as I saw his eyes slowly moving down as if he was looking at something.

"Uh...yeah..." I said idiotically. Drake smiled."Well it seems like we're all taking classes together!"

"Really? It's good to know we'll see some fresh new faces tomorrow!" Evan beamed.

"Well, it was nice meeting you guys. We'll be in jail for 8 hours for a whole week, so be ready!" Tangerine smiled as she waved goodbye."Cmon, you guys! Get your lazy butts back on the court!"she said happily skipping.

"Well how about after this, we go grab something from Inkin' Donuts?" Neveah asked."Sure, I could go for something different." Soup said.

"Other than trains?" Riley beamed joking. We all laughed. I actually think that high school is going to be okay...I hope...I'll just have to wait and see.
