KF's perspective:

I was sitting down in the living room. I was all alone because the rest of the team were on a mission that 'didn't require speed, but instead required slowness'.  I was really angry at the team for making me stay back at the cave while they learned more about some stolen nanoelectronics circuit. . . thingy.

To my surprise, the Zeta-tube announced someone's presence.

'Recognized, Kid Flash, B03'

It startled me. I was right here, I wasn't entering the building. I quickly stood up and went to have a look at who had entered.

Maybe it was me.

Someone who looked exactly like me walked into the cave. They were wearing the Kid Flash outfit that I wore except their mask was not covering their face and it was pulled down around his neck with the boy's goggles. The person smirked when they saw me.

'Hello,' they said, 'I am glad to see you here, alone.'

'Who are you?' I asked.

'I am you' the person laughed. 'Well, actually, I am your clone. You know when you found Superboy, the... guy decided to clone you, Robin, and Aqualad. And you know how you guys thought they had failed...' 

I stared at him in horror.

'Well, they didn't. Not with you anyway. You were in the middle if I recall correctly. Your DNA was the only one recovered. And here I am. Also, I am faster and stronger than you.' The clone laughed.

'Wh-what are you going to do?' I asked fearfully.

'I am going to replace you' my clone replied. 'Good night' he said before hitting me over the head.

Robin's Perspective:

We all returned to the cave from a successful - yet boring - mission to find KF sitting on the couch drinking some water in his Kid Flash outfit. He smiled mischievously when we came in.

'Hey, guys' he said.

'What are you doing in your Kid Flash uniform?' Kaldur asked.

KF cackled, though there wasn't really anything funny going on. 'I seriously considered sneaking after you guys' he admitted shamelessly.

'I am glad you didn't though' Kaldur said.

KF laughed again. 'Same' he said. 'I didn't come because I didn't want to get tired. I also had the cave to my self.'

I had to admit, I was a bit tired. 

'So, were you successful?' KF asked. I noticed that KF was only just keeping in a laugh. I wondered what was wrong with him and why he was laughing so much.

'Yeah' Kaldur said. 'We did good work here tonight.'

KF collapsed on the floor laughing.

'Why are you laughing?' Artemis asked bluntly.

'Do I need a reason?' KF said, getting up from the hard floor while giggling.

'You should have one, dork. You weird, weird idiot' she muttered loud enough for her voice to be heard by KF.

'Ouch' KF laughed (was he always laughing?). 'I could feel the burn from over here.'

'Guys, come with me' I said, leading the team away from KF who was still laughing.

'Something is wrong with him' I started to say before being cut off from Artemis

'We aren't idiots' Artemis said, rolling her eyes.

'Never said you were' I replied. 'Anyway, we need to find out what is wrong with KF and quickly. Do you think we should contact the league?'

Megan and Kaldur said yes while Superboy and Artemis said no.

'What do you think, Robin?' Kaldur asked him politely.

'I think we should' I replied with a small shrug. 'I mean, what's the worst that could happen.'

'OK,' Kaldur said. He quickly contacted Batman.

'What is it?' Batman's monotonous voice replied.

'Something is wrong with Kid Flash but we aren't sure what it is' Kaldur replied.

'Why do you suspect this?' Batman asked.

'Well, Kid Flash won't stop laughing and he is acting differently to the way he usually acts.'

'And what do you want me to do about it?'

'I believe we require the assistance of Black Canary on this matter' Kaldur replied.

'I'll talk to her about it' said Batman. 'But you should learn to take care of these things by yourself. Get to know each other better.'

'We shall try' Kaldur replied. He then turned off the communications.

'Oh, Robin?' KF called from the living room in a sing-song voice.

I walked over to the living room to find KF lying on the couch on his stomach with his feet in the air and his arms crossed over underneath his chin. KF was leaning on the arms of the green couch. He was grinning like an idiot, yet KF acted the most serious I had seen him act since we had arrived back at the cave.

'Yeah?' I replied.

'Wanna spar against me in the training room-area-thing?'

'Uh, sure' Robin shrugged.

KF quickly stood up. 'Race you there' he laughed before speeding off in the direction of the training room.

'That's not fair!' I yelled, racing after KF.

When I arrived, we quickly got ready and then into position.

'Let's begin' KF said.

KF ran circles around me, cutting off half of my air supply. I heard mad laughter circling me. I randomly kicked at the yellow blur surrounding me. My trick worked and KF fell to the ground only to do a backward roll on the ground. He then sprinted towards me and hit me in the chest, knocking the little oxygen in my lungs out of me.

Was it just my imagination or was KF faster, stronger, and more strategic?

KF then pinned me to a wall and punched my stomach really hard, really quickly repeatedly before hitting the side of my head and almost knocking me out. While doing all of this, KF was laughing crazily.

'K-KF...' I muttered to him, 'S-st-stop... y-your hur-hurting m-me.' The pain was spreading its way through the whole of my body.

KF just laughed even harder and knocked me to the floor. I tried to get up but KF just kicked my head.

 I And I blacked out.

Later:

I woke up after a while with KF next to me. KF was laughing like he had been since we had arrived. he was still wearing his Kid Flash outfit except for his mask which was pulled down around his neck with his goggles.

'Oh, Robin' KF said when he had seen Robin stirring. 'I am glad you are OK.' KF chuckled.

'What happened?' I asked.

'Well, we were sparring when I may have a gone a little too far and you passed out' KF smiled.

'Oh... I remember now. Uh, where are the others?'

'They said something about talking to Black Canary about a mission that they had taken upon themselves. Can you believe that they were angry at me because of what I did to you? It was just an accident.'

'They were probably just worried. To be honest, I am not feeling so traught right now.'

KF rolled his eyes before laughing.

'Why are you laughing so much?' I asked curiously.

'I am just amused' KF said with a smile.

'What is so amusing?'

KF shrugged. 'I don't need a reason to laugh or be amused, right?'

'You said the same thing to Artemis' I noted, remembering what had happened when they had arrived back from their successful mission.

'Of course. I wouldn't want to change my story now would I?' KF started laughing maniacally again.

'Kid Flash?' Black Canary's voice called from the living room. 'Can you come here please?'

KF groaned and then giggled. 'See you around' he said to me before walking away.

Artemis appeared at the door. 'You want to watch?' she asked.

I smiled. 'Of course I want to watch.'

Artemis smirked before helping me out of my bed. Pain shot up my back and it hurt a lot.

'Why would Wally do this to you?' Artemis mused sadly.

'I don't think he meant to. Maybe it was an accident.'

'OK, I may not be a detective but I know that you think he may have done it purposefully' Artemis said.

I looked at the ground sheepishly. 'I don't want to doubt my best friend but he's just been acting so...'

'Weird?' Artemis suggested.

'Yeah... Weird. But, why would he do it on purpose though? What would he gain from harming his teammates?'

'I think he has finally lost his marbles' Artemis muttered.

'Have a bit of respect' I laughed sarcastically.

Artemis snorted. 'Says you.'

'Hey! That was uncalled for.'

'Alright, Alright. Sorry' she said.

'You're welcome' I said. Artemis stuck her tongue out at me.

When they reached the living room they saw Black Canary sitting in a chair beside the couch where KF was lying. He was laughing to himself, like usual. The others were standing in the Kitchen, observing as Black Canary worked her magic. I had a feeling that the only reason they were allowed to watch was so that they could learn.

'So, Wally' Black Canary started. 'I have received intel that you have been acting differently lately.'

'You like?' KF asked before bursting into laughter.

'Wally, we want you to act like you were before' she said.

'How do you think I am different?' he asked with a smile.

'You're constantly laughing, you have been treating your teammates differently and saying different things to them, and you injured Robin horribly.'

'First of all,' KF started, 'I am laughing because I am trying something new; I am laughing at my mistakes rather than getting flustered and embarrassed over them because isn't that better. The reason I am laughing a lot is because I have made a lot of mistakes before.' KF snickered.

'You can say that again!' Artemis yelled from the kitchen.

KF laughed... again. 'Or another million times' he said.  'Anyway, second of all, I have been trying to respect my teammates more. After all, we are stuck together. And finally, I didn't mean to hurt Robin. I just got excited. Accidents happen all of the time.' KF laughed... No surprise there.

'How are your relationships with the teammates going?' Black Canary asked.

'Well, Robin and I are getting along well, besides from me accidentally hurting him. Superboy and I... Well, he doesn't say much so I don't say much to him either. He is more of the silent type. Megan and I are getting along great, I have stopped flirting with her by the way - just if you were interested. In that conversational topic, not me, of course,' KF smirked.

Black Canary rolled her eyes.

'Kaldur and I are going great. Again, we don't talk much but, oh well. No one is perfect. And... well I love Artemis but she doesn't like me back so... I guess there isn't much to talk about there.'

'Wait, what?' Artemis said, shocked by what KF had said. Robin laughed.

'Yeah' KF said. 'I am in LOVE! But It won't work so, oh well.'

Artemis's eyes widened. She then ran to her room.

KF burst out into laughter. 'Welp, that's her gone. Guys, it is OK. The coast is clear!' KF laughed at his own joke.

'I am going to leave now' Black Canary said.

'Same' KF laughed.

Everyone looked at him curiously.

'A boy has to see his family at least once a month' KF laughed.

'Recognized, Black Canary, 13. Kid Flash, B03.'

Kid Flash's Perspective:

I was trapped in a dark cell. I was tied to a post in the middle with black duck tape tied around my mouth so that I couldn't say anything. I also had something on my back that made it so that I couldn't use my superpowers. I kicked and screamed but all I heard was my own laughter echoing off of the walls. 

It taunted me and I hated it.

Suddenly, my clone vibrated their molecules through one of the walls. When they saw me they just laughed. It was the same laugh I had been hearing for hours.

I tried to say something but the duck tape stopped me. My clone saw this and so they ripped the tape off of my mouth.

'Ah' I gasped as he ripped the tape off my mouth. 'Ouch,' I muttered.

'Do you miss your friends? Or should I say, my friends?' My clone laughed.

'Let me go' I pleaded.

My clone feigned thinking about it. 'Nah' he said with a smile.

The wall was suddenly blown to pieces. My team stood where the wall used to be.

My clone gasped. 'How did you-' he then froze. He reached around his neck for his goggles and pulled out a tracking device.

'And I put that on while we were sparring' Robin said with a smile.

'Wally!' Artemis shouted. 'Are you OK?'

'Yeah' I said. 'I am fine. Just deal with the other me first, then untie me, then I'll explain.'

'On it' Kaldur said.

It was hard to watch. The other me was really strong and fast.

Kaldur covered him with water from the pipes underneath the floor and then electrocuted the water. Robin then filled the room with smoke so no one could see while Artemis shot my clone with a sharp arrow. superboy punched me and then, finally, Megan flew over to my clone while camouflaged and knocked him out. Superboy then untied me.

'Oh, you are OK!' Artemis yelled. She then ran up to me and hugged me.

I placed my lips on hers and we sat there kissing. I felt a pounding in my head.

'I love you' I heard Artemis say as I fell into unconsciousness.

'I... love you... too' I whispered.

Then everything turned black
