P.S: Most of these are revolved around Kid Flash because he is my favourite character. Sorry Artemis fans.

-Sneaky Burrito

Wallace Rudolf West was sitting on his bed with the wonderful breeze of outside air resting against his freckled face. The teenager's window was open because it was the middle of summer and his room was slowly boiling him. Despite the hot weather, Wally was wearing a yellow hoodie with red strings. Wally was also wearing some red shorts and white, high-top sneakers. Wally was wearing the hood over his head just in case someone looked inside his room. Wally didn't want anyone to see the blood on his pale skin.

Then, a voice from downstairs called Wally's name. Wally froze with fright and didn't move. After a few seconds, Wally heard footsteps stamping up to Wally's room. Before Wally could move, a man burst into the room.

'Why didn't you come when I called you, boy?' the man asked Wally in an insulting and offensive tone. Wally could smell the alcohol in his breath and it made Wally feel slightly sick.

'I-I... didn't hear' Wally stammered the lie quickly.

'Go downstairs right now and make me some dinner' the man said angrily. his voice was harsh.

'Yes, Father' Wally muttered before walking quickly towards the kitchen. Wally had an abusive Father. He became drunk a lot and would beat up Wally. Wally couldn't tell his Father about his powers so he couldn't do anything about it. Wally had always wanted to tell his Father and Mother that he was Kid Flash - a superhero and ex-sidekick of the one-and-only Flash.

But he couldn't

When Wally got there, he quickly made two bowls of Spaghetti. One for his Father and one for himself. He then gave the bowl he had made for his Father to the man and then walked up to his room again to eat his dinner.

Suddenly, as Wally was on the stairs, a glass of wine was thrown at Wally's head. Wally quickly ducked using a small amount of super speed so that the glass wouldn't hit him. He then ran and got a cloth to clean up his abusive Father's mess. Wally then went back to his room and ate his dinner. He then grabbed his Kid Flash outfit and put it in a duffel bag along with some other clothes before heading downstairs.

'Father,' he yelled when he reached the front door over the top of the loud television noises coming from where his Father was, 'I am heading to my friend's house. I will see you tomorrow.'

'Yeah, yeah, whatever' his Father said.

'I'll miss you' Wally replied, half-truthfully. The truth was, Wally loved his Father. Wally just didn't want to be around him. Wally knew his Father was a nice man and he understood that he was just acting this way under the influence of the alcohol. Sadly, Wally's Father was drunk almost every night. During the day, he was a successful, nice man. During the night, he was drunk and was very abusive.

Truthfully, Wally wouldn't really miss his Father, but then, he didn't want to leave him. he wanted to support his Father but it was very hard when his Father pretended Wally was a slave.

Wally headed towards the entrance of Mount Justice. He really hoped that no one would be there or everyone else would be asleep so they wouldn't see him like he was.

But he was wrong. 

When he got there, he saw that Artemis, Robin, and Megan were all in the living room. To Wally's great disappointment, they all saw Wally and ran up to him. Before they could say anything, Wally quickly sped off in the direction of the showers. He then quickly washed all of his blood off of himself and then got changed into some different clothes - he had realized that the clothes he had previously been wearing were covered in dry blood. He changed into a red T-shirt with a yellow stripe around the waist and some white shorts. He then cleaned his White high-tops and put them back on.

Wally then quickly combed his hair and went into the living room with his duffel bag slung over his shoulder. As he entered the room, he saw Artemis, Robin, and Megan whispering to each other quietly. When they saw Wally, they quickly stopped talking and cocked their eyebrows upwards.

'What?' Wally asked curiously.

Megan then gasped. 'Wally! Why is there blood on your socks?' she asked, concern filling her face.

Wally internally swore. He had put the wrong pair of socks on. 'It's nothing' he replied quickly.

'Look, KF,' Robin said to Wally, 'we saw you before when you walked in. Why were you covered in blood? And whose was it?'

'None of your business' Wally replied.

'Actually, it is our business' Robin replied. 'Not only are we your friends, but we are your teammates. We deserve to know the truth.'

Wally saw that he was surrounded by pleading faces and there was no hope. He sighed, giving up. 'Fine' he said. 'I will tell everyone tomorrow. Everyone but her' he added, pointing at Artemis with a glare. Artemis returned the glare.

'She deserves the truth too' Robin said. You may hate each other's guts, but that doesn't take away from the fact that you two are teammates. You have to learn to get along.'

Wally growled. 'You are asking a lot from me, Robin' he said angrily.

'I know, and I am sorry, but this is important. Tell us all tomorrow, that way you don't have to repeat yourself.'

Wally groaned. 'Well, I am staying here tonight, what are you guys doing here?' he asked.

'We are staying for the night as well' Megan replied cheerfully.

Wally smirked at this. 'But why?'

'Megan wanted to get to know us a bit more since she doesn't actually know us all that well' Artemis replied.

'Well, I am going to bed' Wally replied.

'Don't you want to play with us though?' Megan asked.

'Nah' he said with a smile. 'I'll just grab a glass of water and head to my room.'

'What's wrong?' Artemis said to him with feigned concern. 'Don't you want to hang out with your little Megan?'

'I am not in the mood right now for either you or Megan' he said. Everyone gave him a surprised look. Usually, Wally would be seeking a way to argue with Artemis or flirt with Megan, but now he was denying the opportunity to do both.

'Are you OK, Wally?' Robin asked nervously as Wally walked over to the kitchen.

Wally grabbed a glass out of a cupboard and started to fill it with water from the sink. 'No' he replied truthfully. 'I am not OK. . . but there is nothing that you can do about it other than leave me alone to deal with my problems.' Wally turned off the sink tap.

'Just remember, we are here to help you' Megan said.

'Thanks' Wally said. He then turned and walked off to his bedroom.

Next day:

When Wally woke up, he saw that the time was 7:47. He internally swore. They had training at 8:00. Wally sped around his room, getting ready for training. He quickly put on his Kid Flash outfit and then ran to the kitchen. To his surprise, a plate of pancakes was sitting on the counter. 

Wally saw a note beside the pancakes. The note read:

Dear Wally,
I hope you are OK and that your problems get solved. I made you these pancakes because I know how much you love food. Enjoy!
From. . .

Wally turned the note over.

I am not going to tell you who I am.

Wally stared at the note. He wondered who would give him something like that. Waly then sat down and started eating the pancakes. He then ran to the training room with only a few minutes to spare.

Everyone was already there and when he arrived they all looked at him expectantly.

'What?' he asked them.

'Well, are you going to tell us your secrets or what?' Superboy asked Wally with his harsh voice.

'OK, fine' Wally sighed. he had been hoping that maybe they would forget, but that was way too much to wish for.

Wally faced the other direction and crossed his arms angrily so that he didn't have to face them when he told them what had been happening.

So Wally then told them.

'Every night, my Father comes home drunk. He then hurts me and makes me do stuff for him' Wally replied. He was looking down at the ground because he was too scared to face them.

There was a small, stunned silence.

'Wait, so that blood on you. . . That was yours?' Robin asked, breaking the silence. He looked horrified.

'Uh. . . Yeah' Wally admitted.

'How long has this been going on for?' Kaldur asked.

Wally frowned for a second in thought. 'Umm, I think about two years. He has come home drunk before that but it has been happening for two years straight now. It is consistent.'

'I am going to hurt him badly' Superboy said darkly. 'Child abuse is not good.'

'NO!' Wally shouted quickly. They all looked at him in surprise. Wally shook his head and groaned. 'This is part of the reason why I didn't tell you guys' he said. 'I knew you would overreact. I love my Father a lot and I won't allow you to hurt him.'

'KF, he is abusing you' Robin said.

'Oh well,' Wally said. 'I have dealt with it for two years, I can deal with it for longer.'

Then Artemis ran at him and, before Wally could do anything, Artemis had smashed her lips against his. She then wept into his shoulder. 'I am so glad you are OK' she said.

Wally just stood there, stunned. Was this really Artemis hugging him?

'Ar-Artemis?' Wally stammered in shock.

'I love you' Artemis whispered into his ear, blushing furiously.

Wally blushed as well. 'I-I love you as well.'

Suddenly, Robin's cackle filled the room. Everyone looked towards the young boy. Robin was holding his phone up and he had been recording the whole thing.

'You two finally confessed' he smiled.

Artemis let go off Wally and the two of them blushed.

Screw it  Wally thought to himself. He then wrapped his arms around Artemis's waist and they kissed again.

They were in love.
