Chapter 27

"But I don't want to go!" White snapped at Leia.

"Come on! I don't want to go alone!" Leia whined.

"What about Mira?" the older trainer asked.

"She's coming too, but you haven't seen any of my battles!" pouted Leia. White groaned.

Leia, Hugh, and Mira had arrived in Nimbassa City the day before. Leia had earned her Insect Badge, and she was already wanting to challenge the gym. Mira said that Leia had caught a Sandile, so she was going to use it in the battle.

The boys had ran off somewhere, Mira went shopping, and White was alone in the amusement park with Leia. Right now, the last thing White wanted to do was watch Leia battle her least favorite gym leader.

"Look, I don't want to see you-"

"See me what? Lose? Ha! Who said I was going to lose?" Leia snapped as they passed the old gym, which was now a roller coaster ride.

"Look! Elesa isn't like the other gym leaders-" White started, but Leia just snorted. "I promise, I won't lose."

"Do you want to borrow one of my pokemon just in case? Out of all the gyms I fought, this one was the hardest!" White asked.

Leia didn't answer. She looked annoyed. "I'm not weak." Leia finally said through clenched teeth.

"I never said you were!" White said, exasperated. "I'm just, well, I just think you should take your time!"

White thought Leia might hit her, but she just turned away.

"What pokemon did you have in mind?" Leia finally asked.

"I have a Electrode you can use. Mira has been using it lately, but I'm pretty sure I can get her to let me have it back." White said.

"What's an Electrode?" she asked.

"Does this mean I have to give Taxi up?" Mira's voice said from behind them.

They turned around and saw Mira walking a feet behind them. Walking next to her was Purr.

"Glad to see me? I evolved too!" Purr said proudly.

White gave a small smile and knelt down to see her better.

"She followed me over here. She was apparently going to give you this." Mira told White, and handed her an envelope.

Leia bent down to pat her on the head. The Liepard purred and sat in front of her.

"I would advise you that you ignore the letter inside it." Purr said as White opened the envelope. "I don't think he said anything nice in it. But there is a map in there."

Sure enough, a map of Unvoa was folded next to a letter, which White ignored. She unfolded it and looked at what was on it. Everything looked normal, except that a red circle was around the label of Driftveil City. N's handwriting was under the circle and it said "TP Location". She guessed that this was the new location of Team Plasma.

"Is this your Purrloin, White? I mean, was this the one you had when we first met?" Leia asked her.

"Er, yes." answered White.

"Who did you trade it to?" she asked.

Thankfully, Mira saved White the trouble of lying, by saying convincingly

"She traded it to my cousin! My cousin needed a strong Dark Type to battle a gym, so White gave him Purr. He beat the gym alright, but he has grown attached to her."

White tried to keep herself from giggling. N wasn't attached to Purr at all.

"Well he is lucky to have a nice pokemon like this one!" said Leia, smiling at the purring Liepard.

White was able to turn her laugh into a cough as she put the map in her coat pocket. She crumpled up the envelope and letter and threw them into a nearby trash can.

"So, who is Taxi?" Leia asked them as she straightened up.

"You want Taxi then? He's not the best at obeying orders, trust me. He only listens to White." Mira warned her.

"Then give him here so I can straighten him out." White said and held out her hand.

Mira nodded and took a Friend Ball off her belt.

"Can I stay with you for today? I don't want to go back to him." Purr whined, and scowled as she said the last part. "He won't miss me, I promise you."

White didn't answer as she took the pokeball from Mira. "You two go on ahead, then." She told the other two girls.

"But be quick, I want to start the battle soon!" Leia told her as she ran ahead with Mira.

She waited before letting the Electrode out. A large, overgrown pokeball seemed to have been released from the pokeball when White pressed the button. The only difference was that the pokemon had two eyes and a mouth.

"Oh, it's you." the Electrode said as it saw White.

"Hello, Taxi. Long time no see." She said stiffly, putting the pokeball in her pocket. Purr was snarling next to her, apparently uncertain about the newcomer.

"Who would let a thing like you on their team?" Purr snapped rudely.

Sparks flew from Taxi's body. "Any sensible person would!" snarled Taxi.

"Prove it!"

"Purr, you can stay, but be quiet! I wanted to talk to you, Taxi." White said sharply.

The two pokemon stopped, but we're still glaring at each other.

"What did you want to see me about. I did like you asked. I treated the kid nicely." Taxi said defensively.

"It's not about that. I want you to help a friend of mine get a gym badge." seeing Taxi give her a surprised look, White continued "This will be her fourth gym badge, and I'm not sure she can fight this gym leader with only her pokemon. She has a Servine, Riolu, Sandile, and Audino. I just want you to help her in battle when she needs it. Ok?"

Taxi looked annoyed at being asked to help another female trainer. After a minute, he gave a curt nod and muttered "Fine, but you owe me big time."

"Thank you. It's just this once, and then you can go back with Mira." said White, and returned Taxi to his pokeball. Purr sneered at the pokeball before trotting after White.

"I wish I could stay with you. I don't like that guy." said Purr as they passed a group of tourists.

"So I've heard." White growled. "Look, can you stop the biting and stuff? I'm getting tired of hearing about you being a scratching machine."

Purr rolled her eyes but didn't answer. "Yeah, right." She muttered. "It's different being with a guy then a gal. Especially if the guy was once a enemy."

"Just be nice, ok?" White said, and Purr gave a curt nod.

But she heard the Liepard mutter, "I stay with a guy that I hate more then anyone, and she tells me to be nice. Ha! I'll be nice to him when the second world wide flood comes."

"That's never."

"That's the whole idea."

The gym had been moved farther away from the amusement park so no one would be bothered by the noise. Instead of a roller coaster, the gym was now one of those fashion walkways. Mira and Leia were looking at a sign placed at the entrance of the gym.

"The gym leader isn't here. She'll be back in a hour." Mira told White as they came closer.

"But I really wanted to battle her!" said Leia, sounding disappointed.

"Well, maybe you should train while we wait. You can battle me." White suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea! She is a Electric Type expert as well." said Mira, pulling out two more Friend Balls.

"But you're really strong! I won't last the first turn!" Leia protested, looking nervous at the idea of fighting White.

"I won't use my regular team. I'll use Taxi and Mira's two Electric Types." White reassured her, smirking at the idea of battling Leia with Thundrus.

"You can use Sparky and Pinch. They listen to you." said Mira as she handed White the two Friend Balls.

"Thanks, these will do." White thanked her, and tossed one of the pokeballs into the air.

A loud yowl of happiness echoed around the park as Mira's Pikachu, Pinch, leapt out of the pokeball. Pinch was Pikachu's mate before Team Plasma took her. Pinch had taken the loss hard, and had became more social since he was so lonely.

"Ringdog!" Leia cried and threw a pokeball into the air. Her Riolu appeared from the red light, and landed in front of the Pikachu.

"Who are you?" Ringdog snarled, looking at Pinch's appearance.

"I'm Pinch! Who are you?" replied Pinch, frowning slightly.

"I'm Ringdog," said the Riolu.

"Thunderbolt!" White ordered Pinch, breaking through the introductions.

"Reversal!" Leia yelled as the Pikachu started storing energy.

Ringdog yowled and sent jets of light flying everywhere. Purr, who was leaning against Mira's leg, shrieked with terror and leapt out of the way of a passing light. Then they all shot into Pinch's chest. Pinch wailed and released the electricity from his cheeks.

"Dodge it!" screamed Leia as the Riolu gave a loud screech.

Ringdog did a back flip in mid air as the thunder took aim at his head.

"Quick Attack!" yelled White, and Pinch rammed into Ringdog's chest.

"Force Palm!" Leia cried, as her opponent tried to duck. The Riolu barked and smacked his palm against Pinch's cheeks.

"Pinch, use Double Team, and quickly!" Pinch gave a cry, and seemed to have separated into over ten Pikachu.

"What in the world?!" Ringdog gasped as he was surrounded by multiple Pinch's.

"Use Return on the one behind you!" screamed Leia.

The Real Pinch gave a cry of shock as Ringdog whirled around and swung Pinch to the ground. Pinch gave a final cry before fainting.

"Sparky!" White yelled as she returned Pinch to his pokeball and threw another one. The small Pichu gave a squeal as it was released into battle.

"Return, again!"

"Use Return as well!"

Both Ringdog and Sparky attempted to grab the other's tail, but only one got that far. Ringdog grabbed onto Sparky's small tail and threw him across the pavement.

"Volt Switch!" White ordered the Pichu.

He shot an orb of electricity at the Riolu before disappearing inside his pokeball. Sparky was replaced by Taxi, who just gave a small growl when he escaped out of the pokeball. People were now watching the battle as they passed by.

"Please try and get up, Ring!" Leia begged as her Riolu fell to the ground.

"Finish it with Spark!" yelled White before Ringdog could react. Taxi smirked and shot another orb of electricity at the Riolu's chest.

Ringdog yowled in pain and the force hit him. He gave a shuddering gasp before falling to the ground, unconscious.

Leia bent over her fallen pokemon and cradled him in her arms. "You did good, Ring! Thanks for trying!" White heard her say as she returned him to his pokeball.

Leia tossed another pokeball into the air and yelled, "Randy!"

Mira was right. Leia had indeed obtained a Sandile while on Route 4. The Sandile, Randy, was looking around at its surroundings.

"Why is everyone looking at poor Randy? Randy did nothing wrong. Poor Randy was in his home all this time." he murmured, blinking curiously at the watching crowd.

"Rollout!" White yelled before Leia could give a command.

"Dig, fast!" screamed Leia.

Randy seemed to have come out of his little trance and started to dig into the ground. The boulder Taxi shot at him missed by inches.

"Oh, poor Randy. Pokemon shooting boulders at him, and humans screaming at him. Oh, what a pain." White heard Randy talking to himself while he burrowed toward them.

The Sandile burst from the ground underneath Taxi and kicked the Electrode's face. Taxi made strange buzzing noises and rolled backwards.

"Mud Slap!" Leia yelled.

Randy gave a hiss, and started to throw the dirt he had dug up at Taxi's face.

"Get the brat away from me!" Taxi roared as he started to shudder.

"Try Rollout!" White ordered him. Taxi shot more boulders but Randy dodged them all.

"Oh, the young lady is so loud, and her big pokemon is even worse." Randy hissed as he dived back into the tunnel he made.

"Finish it with Dig!" cried Leia. The Sandile gave another hiss from his hole, and he shot out of the ground. The impact sent Taxi flying into the air, landing ten feet to White's right. He shuddered before fainting.

"I think that's enough." Mira said loudly. White returned Taxi to his pokeball and Leia picked Randy up.

Purr stood up and walked in front of Leia, glaring at the Sandile.

"You're a bit of an oddball." she commented bluntly.

Randy blinked and muttered, "The cat pokemon is speaking as if Randy was dirt. The cat pokemon is a lot bigger than Randy, but Randy will prove himself someday, oh yes."

Purr snorted. "You do that."

"I will admit that your pokemon are quite powerful. I can see your relationship with Ringdog has grown." White told Leia as the onlookers went back to their business.

Leia blushed. "Thanks. Now do you think I can battle the gym leader?" she asked.

"Well I think so!" Mira replied, smiling slightly.

"I think you might be able to." said White with a nod. "But I would like to let you know that your Sandile is a bit reluctant to obey your orders. I think you should pay him some attention. The same should go for all your pokemon."

"Ok, I'll try." Leia said as she moved Randy to her shoulder.

Purr and Randy were still hissing at each other. "You have some grammar issues. Who taught you how to talk?" Purr demanded rudely.

Randy narrowed his eyes. "The cat pokemon is insulting Randy's mummy. The cat pokemon has not right to insult Randy's mummy."

"I got a right in this country! I can insult who I please! Even your mother!" The Liepard hissed.

Randy opened his mouth to retort, but seemed to think better of it and leaned against Leia's head, looking frustrated.

I love Randy. Do you like Randy? I think he's a little cutie <3 lol I'm just kidding. But you have to love the Sandile.

Can a Harry Potter fan tell me who Randy sounds like? If you haven't read the series, I'll say it.

Randy was kinda based off the house elves Creature and Dobby. (I'm pretty sure Creature is spelt differently, but I'm too lazy to look it up lol) I thought the grammar the house elves use was kinda cool, so I made Randy have their kind of wording.
