Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Lawdy, lawdy, please help me sleep
I've been tired for far too long, far too long, lawdy
Lawdy, lawdy, please give me peace
I've been scared for far too long, for far too long, lawdy
Hold me in your hands, help me understand
Guide me in your ways, lawdy, lawdy stay
Lawdy, lawdy abide with me
I need you to stay by my side, stay by my side, lawdy
Lawdy, lawdy, please help me see
I can't be blind for all my life, for all my life, lawdy
Hold me in your hands, help me understand
Guide me in your ways, lawdy, lawdy stay
Lawdy, lawdy stay
Hold me in your hands, help me understand
Guide me in your ways, lawdy, lawdy stay
Hold me in your hands, help me understand
Guide me in your ways, lawdy, lawdy stay
Lawdy, lawdy stay
Lawdy, lawdy stay
"Don't sing that song, White. It depresses me." Archy growled to his trainer, but White ignored him and began to tune her guitar.
White had made it to the entrance of Virbank City by nightfall, but she wanted to stay on the route. She honestly didn't like cities that favored Poison Types more than any other type
Tiny glared at Archy and huffed, "I like that song."
"Well I don't. It some how reminds me of Ray." Archy retorted.
At the sound of her former partner's name, White winced and she broke a guitar string. Tiny purred with amusement.
"What makes you do that? That has got to be the third string that snapped this month." Archy reminded her, giving her an annoyed look.
"I'm a jumpy person when I tune this thing!" White snapped.
White thought she had heard Tiny mutter, "Liar."
"Well just sing something else. I hate depressing songs." the Arcanine continued.
"I don't like depressing songs either, but that doesn't mean I won't sing them." She growled.
"By the way, isn't that a Christian song?" Tiny asked, still smirking.
"Yes, so?"
"I didn't know you became a Christian again!" Archy said, surprised.
"I'm not. Those are just the only songs I know." White retorted.
"So your still an Atheist?" Tiny asked. White nodded, wanting to avoid bring up this conversation.
"What made you give up Christianity anyway?" Archy questioned his trainer, looking disappointed.
White hissed and set her guitar aside, looking at her two pokemon. "If you both remember, God was said to always watch over you and take care of you. He didn't seem to do much when I lived in the forest! I don't want to praise a God who doesn't even care for me, so I'd rather just believe he doesn't exist!" she snapped angrily.
"So what would you say to someone who believed that Arceus created the earth?" Archy made up.
"I would say that they lost their marbles."
"Then don't say that to anyone, because that's what lots of people believe." a voice said.
White sighed and looked up. N was sitting in the tree that she was leaning against, looking down at her.
"Look who came to join the fun." Tiny said sarcastically, but Archy bit down on her tail and made her yelp.
"What do you want?" White asked him, ignoring her pokemon.
N shrugged and slid down the tree trunk. "I'm here to ask if you would like your Purrloin back." he told her, holding out Purr's pokeball.
"I don't think I can secretly bring one more pokemon. I already have seven, so you can keep her," said White coolly.
"Well I don't want her. She won't listen to me no matter how hard I try. She will even bite my wrist." N replied, showing White his wrist. White smirked as she saw that there were light teeth marks on his wrist.
"Let's say that Purr doesn't get along with other trainers. It even took me awhile to bond with her." She explained.
N sighed and attached the pokeball to his belt. He had a frustrated look on his face.
"I saw you fight off that Team Plasma group." her brother said, changing the conversation.
"Stalker." White growled.
"The kids aren't that bad. They need some improvement on catching pokemon, but they do well on battling."
"I'm more worried about the Plasma Elites. I don't know who is behind this."
"I don't know either. I do know that Ghetsis is among them." said N.
White didn't answer. Her mind had wandered back to the last time she had fought Ghetsis. He had found out her weakness when they fought on Route 4; Sand, dust, and smoke.
White remembered that she still hadn't told N about her breathing problems. But she honestly didn't want to. That meant she would have to admit that she wasn't as strong as she seemed.
"Do you know where Team Plasma is now?" White asked her brother, trying to change the subject. She heard Tiny snort.
"Well, I don't think they're here in Virbank. I believe they moved to Castelia City. They have been sighted near the entrance to the sewers." N explained, and White nodded.
"I believe the kids, or at least Leia is, collecting gym badges. It might take a bit longer to get to Castelia City, since Virbank has a gym." She pointed out.
"There is no rush. Just as long as you and the kids get there. I must go now." he told her abruptly and he ran off.
"I thought he would never leave." Tiny finally said.
"Be quiet, Miss I-Walk-Out-Like-A-Boss." Archy snapped.
"How dare you!" Tiny gasped .
White looked at the ground, ignoring the fight between the Arcanine and the Espeon. Castelia City was the largest city in Unvoa, and the sewers were like large mazes. No wonder Team Plasma chose there to hide out.
"You should have more respect toward a lady!" Tiny snapped at Archy.
"You're no lady, you're a monster!" Archy spat. Tiny screeched and used Psycho Cut on Archy's nose. He yowled and leapt back.
"Both of you quit it!" White snapped at them.
Tiny started to scratch Archy again, but White threw the Espeon's pokeball at her and Tiny disappeared inside.
"She's gonna kill someone one of these days!" Archy yelped.
"No kidding," White agreed, a little surprised that Tiny would try to attack the leader of the team.
Tiny has been acting rude to everyone ever since White told her that they couldn't stay in Kanto, the region where her first trainer lived. It seems that her rudeness is getting worse. One thought had came to White's mind, and it was about releasing her grandfather's own Espeon into the wild.
