Chapter 10

Chapter 10

"Ouch! Your pulling my hair!" Whitney whined as she dug her fingers into the ground.

"Then don't move! It's harder to comb it when you keep flinching!" N snapped at her.

"Well your making me! By the way, you stink at combing my hair!"

"Well it's not my fault!"

It has been almost two years since Whitney and Natural's mother abandoned them in this forest. Natural (who prefers to be called by his nickname, N) had tried to find a way out of the forest, but it seemed like they ended up walking in circles. So they ended up living in the forest.

The pokemon in the forest were a problem at first. The larger pokemon would attack them unexpectedly, and vanish after five seconds. Some smaller pokemon would take their items, and hide them in trees or in small holes. The siblings would try to talk to the pokemon, but they would end up being attacked by them. Whitney had a Pichu and N had a Zorua, but they were too small and weak to take the other pokemon on.

But then a small group of pokemon decided to help them. The pokemon had noticed that Whitney and N meant no harm, so they agreed to watch over them. The pokemon were a Woobat, Riolu, Ponyta, Clampearl, and Darmanitan.

"Please stop it, both of you! You guys are giving me a headache!" Woobat complained as he hung in a tree.

"She started it!" said N instantly, accidentally tugging at his sister's hair. Whitney made a snarling noise and pulled away from him.

"Stop it, you can be done!" Whitney snarled, taking the brush out of N's hand.

"Good. Why can't Ray do that?" he asked irritability.

"He tried but he's worse than you." said Whitney.

"She's right. He stinks at it. I saw him try and do it, but it was a fail. Riolu are good at everything, except when it comes to human activities." Woobat squeaked.

"Whatever. I'm going to go find Darmanitan and Zorua." N growled, and he ran off into the forest.

Whitney sat there, listening for any signs of the other pokemon. Woobat had gone to sleep, so she was alone. She wanted to go and explore, but N had always told her not to go anywhere without him or the pokemon that stayed with them.

Her mind was made up in a second. Whitney looked around and saw a long staff like stick nearby. She grasped it and stood up. She listened one last time for any voices before wandering into the trees.

It was in the late afternoon, so it was a bit dark in the forest. Whitney could hear faint voices of wild pokemon, but she ignored them. The bushes rustled lightly as she passed.

Wild pokemon never attacked her anymore. Not since Woobat and the others started taking care of her and N. Rapi the Ponyta said it was because they were some of the strongest pokemon in the forest. Whitney didn't blame pokemon for being scared of Darmanitan, but she didn't see what was scary about Di-Di the Clampearl, Woobat, Ray the Riolu, or Rapi.

After fifteen minutes, Whitney heard footsteps coming from behind her. She stopped and listened. Her heart was beating rapidly. They seemed to be coming from a human, but N couldn't be here. She would've known.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" Whitney called, looking in all directions. She swore she heard someone. But the forest was silent.

"Gotcha!" a voice shouted, as hands wrapped around her waist.

Whitney screamed, and swung the staff at the man's head. He yelled in pain, and released her at once. She screamed once more and ran away from him.

But the man recovered quickly, and chased after her. "Come back, you little brat!" he yelled, but Whitney ducked away and hid under a thorny bush.

She saw a hand try and reach under the bush, but pulled back after a thorn dug into it. "Get out of there!" a male voice snarled.

Whitney still grasped the staff in her hand, so she slammed it onto the reappearing hand.

"Help! Somebody!" she screamed, hoping someone would hear her pleads for help.

"Shut up-"

"Darmanitan, Hammer Arm!" a voice cried, and a loud thud rang near her hiding spot. The man yelled, and he leapt away from the bush. Whitney gave a wail as a crack echoed around the area.

"Leave my sister alone!" her brother's voice yelled at the man. Whitney heard the man bellow something (which sounded like a bunch of swear words) at N before he ran off.

Whitney gave another small wail, as the bush began to shake.

"Whitney?" Darmanitan's voice asked.

She didn't answer, thinking she wasn't ready to face her brother or Darmanitan. "We know your in there." said N's voice quietly.

She then crawled out, seeing Darmanitan in front of the bush with N on his back. "Why are you alone?" N asked, his eyes narrowing.

"Y-You told me I couldn't go anywhere without you or one of the others, but Woobat was asleep and you all were gone! So I had to go by myself!" Whitney admitted, tears falling down her face.

"Woobat would have went with you, I know he would of." Darmanitan said. Whitney shuddered and more tears fell down. The last time she asked Woobat to come and play with her, he snapped at her and flew away.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" she sobbed. N slid down from Darmanitan's back, and bent down next to his younger sister.

"I know you are. This is why you have to go out with one of us. Just don't do it again." N told Whitney.

She nodded and hugged him, wishing she would have listened to her brother in the first place.

"Riolu, Force Palm!" Leia shouted, as her Riolu smacked its palm against the Team Plasma Grunt's Patrat. The Patrat yowled and fell to the ground, passing out.

"No! You cheated! I know you did!" the grunt yelled angrily.

"No she didn't. She won fair and square." White snapped, stepping beside Leia.

"That's right. Now go away, and take your Patrat with you." Amos growled to the grunt.

He snarled and picked up his fainted Patrat. The grunt spat at them before running into the forest. White made a growling noise, and turned to Leia and Amos.

"We better go look around more. Hugh is still out there, and so are three more grunts." She said. Leia nodded as she patted her Riolu on the head.

"Do you think we'll find them all?" Amos asked.

"Positive." White assured them, tossing a pokeball in the air. Zoroark appeared and gave a growl. Seth was returned to his pokeball earlier after he tried to strangle Riolu.

"I smell Patrat! Not just Patrat, but Team Plasma too!" he growled furiously.

White gave a growl in Zoroark's language that said, "They are here, and we took down two out of five. Keep your senses open for any sign of Hugh, Tiny, or the grunts"

Zoroark nodded and slipped into the forest. Amos was watching White with an odd expression on his face. Leia didn't notice anything.

"Zoroark will help lead the way. Stay close to either me or him." White ordered.

"Ok, but how can you tell if he is leading us the right way?" Leia asked.

"I have special ways of communication." White replied. Amos opened his mouth to speak, but closed it as if thinking better of it.

White pretended to take no notice, and followed Zoroark. Leia returned Riolu to his pokeball, and ran after her friend. Amos huffed and walked behind them.

Hello.

I will be adding flashbacks every few chapters, even if it doesn't match what is happening in the present. I actually did consider rewriting the flashback yesterday. Aren't you glad I didn't? :P

I think that's all I need to say I think. GOOD BYE, AND GOD BLESS!
